We can disagree to agree bro, no worries atall.

You are spot on with the program being expensive without the initial approval.

I wish all the applicants well.

God bless you both.. this how men reason things out.

Good morning fellow Nigerians.

Please someone should enumerate to me The process of obtaining a Canadian student visa.
The step by step procedure without missing any step please.
I don't seem to get any good information specific to Nigeria online.

Like;

1. Obtain a standardized letter of acceptance from a recognized higher education provider.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.

Till Your Passport is stamped

I advice you go back to part 15 of this thread and read from 15-17. All you seek is there in.

I think you should admit that you goofed and move on. We all learn everyday.
It's possible to get admission with full funding in the US. I've close friends that got full funding last year with 2.2.
It's easier to get admission and funding in the US than Canada. I've done both and I know it's way easier because there are over 5000 universities in the US compared to Canada (which has about 90+). Also, the admission approach is completely different.
Information is really power, and you should never assume you know it all. Being open-minded is a major key!
Stop discouraging people. There are people with 2.2, HND degrees in the US with full-funding doing great because they came across the right information and took action.

@All That eventually had me mentioned.... One even said i went MUTE... when did NAIRALAND become A Job abi na here i go die put ?

What do you think kills people on the Mediterranean sea, Deserts? No, it is not the WATER, it is not The Rickety BOATS.
Guess what kills them ? Information that is available or given to them...
---Na there i pass go ...You will hear
---It is the easiest route , it is the shortest route , You no need documents .... Na so i take go!!!

In all no one will mention that you will be killed by chance, so you can make it to Europe like a motivation. In reality people actually make it to Europe but how many?

Most of the Moniker you see here don't exist, Most of them want mail request and Most of them are here to dupe you, come at me all you want.

One even said it is easier to gain admission to a US university than CANADA, ... Christ!!! Nigerians why?
The rigorous application process of a US university is like applying to 20 Universities in CANADA.

Some with a HND and a lower class getting funding? I will commit suicide if you upload your result that you used to apply for the school and the funding letter, Just upload it here and i will drink sniper, i will tell you a story.

There was a Nigerian guy who paid almost $18000 to get admitted to a school in the US(Name withheld) I swear he was on this page until he was exposed, ... He helped Nigerians just arriving the US to stay in his house and collected monies from them, advised them on her how he got a full scholarship with a 2.1 and how he can help people, but he had a problem with a Nigerian guy in the same school he was and didn't settle, the guy came here and exposed him..... He has been expelled, he is out of status and even wanted by police!!! The only person i will fear in this world is a Nigeria i meet outside Nigeria , until i am sure it is safe with him/her.

I went to a Chinese store abroad and this Nigerian guy walked in after a while and started speaking mandarin , but from his tone i knew he was from Naija, I beckoned on him and he didn't even reply me, after awhile one of the guys walked up to me and asked if i knew him? i said No ! He said the Naija Guy said " He should Cheat me" .... I was a whole sale shop without prices on the wards.

What am i saying, I can never believe a Nigerian Guys stories that is outside the shores of Nigeria, Freaking desperate people with over their head stories, many of them are out of status and going about looking for who to scam. Use your heads people it doesn't exist.

If you are here and you are sure you had a FULL FUNDING with a 2.2/lower class in an American University, I will pay you a $1000. This is my Email, lets sort it out, if i don't credit you, shame me here let the ADMIN get me rooted out. ..... Jekwuobinna@gmail.com.

FULL FUNDING MAIL and the 2.2/Lower Class Result , It doesn't Cost anything to do.

Ogbeni no Dey shout like say the $1000 Na pathway to heaven, drop your pride agree say you don cast and move on... your country men are the worst outside the country we hear.. pride Dey say comes before a FALL!!!!!!

Can someone explain each denial reason to me and how to avoid them before I begin my application. I have no idea who owns the denial mail

1.means the cos he/she is going to study might not be marketable in Nigeria So he is not sure the really reason of him wanting to come to Canada is to study.

2.means the v.o those not believe or is not convinced that the place he works would be enough reason for him to come back.

3.maybe he did not show he has a strong connection with his family back home and a result can decide not to come back.

Disclaimer : I might be wrong but am sure when the gurus in the house awaken they would help you out my fellow brethren.

But until then Ma’am the best advice I can give you on this is, go back as far as part 15 and start reading till you get to part 17 of this forum .. I can assure you, you would be blessed with more than enough information to see you through your application.

Please Forgive me...

I don't believe this your story!

It is ok to say things and make it look perfect, but this sounds just too perfect to be true.

FULL FUNDING in the US for why? because you worked for 10yrs?

2.2 will not even get your application viewed, did you write SAT? TOEFL and had exceedingly excellent grades in them ?

Unless probably in an artisan school where you probably have to use your hands to work or do your courses or Vocational School that directly relates with you 10yrs work experience, else ....idonbliveit!

Moving on, ...

How did you sustain in the US with your family?
You had to work and go to school and still made that CGPA? Oga na lie!

You have to be extremely good to achieve that and that means you are even a 1st Class student in Nigeria.

If you work and study in Canada, You have to be extremely good too because you cannot even meet up with assignment.

A guy on this forum has been expelled from his school in Canada, he cannot even Fail, he literally don't have a presence in the class.

I don't know if you did that write up to encourage some one, but the frailty of the composed is way over the TOP.

Please Forgive me once again if i came in strong.

New monikers you guys don't cease to amuse me grin grin grin. You're trying to make something out of nothing. No one is attacking your post or trying to find loopholes in them.

However, your standpoint purportedly shows that you're very certain about what you're saying, albeit you're wrong. The attachment put forward by you is simply stating that the Canadian government is expanding its biometrics collection program. It doesn't in no way state that they began biometrics collection in December 2018. In the previous years since 2013 every new application whether new or old must have to redo their biometrics before IRCC can start processing the application. As at 31st of July, 2018, the system of biometrics being valid for a decade (10 years) was then incrementally expanded and full implemented. Thus second time/previously denied applicants will not have redo their biometrics again. It wasn't like this in the previous years.

For your information, Biometrics enrollment have been in place for more than seven (7) years now in 2013. This is in an effort to enhance the integrity of the Canadian immigration system, the federal government began collecting biometric data from foreign nationals of specific countries applying for temporary residence.

The problem we have is that everyone wants to be at the top, no one is ready to learn from the history. A simple google search could have helped you rather than making justifications to a fallacious facts.

WHEN DID CANADA START COLLECTION OF BIOMETRICS FROM FOREIGN NATIONALS.

You can also check the previous threads, part 8, 9, 10. Applicants go for biometrics prior to an application is deemed complete for due visa processing.

Please note that I'm not in competition with anyone here as you claimed. Before I counter any post on this thread, I must be very definite about it. I don't do a guess work here. You're very free and open to give your suggestions on this thread. I'm not stopping you from doing that. With that being said, I can't watch you give a falsifying claims for others to rely upon it.

I will not debate further on this topic as it will totally be irrelevant arguing with a new moniker who just registered his account two months ago.

It will end in praise.

@Frankrobbn1, anybody else, pls address this -
what can be a valid reason for submitting car documents? Will stating that land and house will be leased by counter productive?

Submitting a car documents is cool, it can still help serve as home ties and if I would advice don’t just submit the car documents if possible let the VO know that you might even be leasing the car out while you away just to serve as addition stream of income. By doing this the VO won’t feel you would end up just saleing of the car on reaching Canada.

Also saying you leasing out a land and housing is also a cool idea but I would advice don’t just state it, prove it ( meaning you should show like a tenancy agreement between you and whoever you leasing it to. A lawyer can help you draft one or you tender a receipt showing proof of payment for the said property you leasing out) this would also serve as additional stream of income for you showing the VO you well established back home and you won’t want to be leaving all this multiple income streams behind

My little 2cent. hope it helps. Wishing you all the best on your quest for a study permit.

Problem is 40mb is a very large size and primo might not be able to compress 40mb to 4mb. Only adobe pro DC can do it. But still give it a try let’s see

Lekiboboe:

@Jermaineayo

U can give ilovepdf compressing a shot
https://www.ilovepdf.com/compress_pdf

And if ilovepdf compress didn't show any significant file size reduction with legible contents in ur Documents, Follow this trick..... I used it and it worked perfectly..

Trick to Compressing our document(Courtesy @Nonso16)
Go to google search for PrimoPDF, download it...

Install and close it.

Open your document, Hold "Ctrl + P" like you want to print,

It will take you to another interface where you will be able to select your printing options,

Now Select Printer and you will see a drop-down menu, Now Select PrimoPDF and Click on Print.

Wait for the progress bar to be done, Mind you it's not printing but trying to interface with the PrimoPDF software,

When that's done, the PrimoPDF software will Popup and You will click on CREATE PDF, it will ask you to save it. FINISH .

Locate where u saved the document (i.e the Directory), check the Property of the file, u will discover the size of the file has reduced to a very reasonable extent

That's the magic ...

NOTE: The picture Quality might reduce a little but will still be visible

Hello everyone, I'm planning on making my application for study permit soon...wish me well.

But here's the thing, my proof of financial statement is about 40 mega bytes alone and the minimum required is 4 mb. Please has anyone had to achieve such feat...I mean in terms of compressing the file.

Your response will help me a lot. Cos I feel like it's too bulky.

All the documents I submitted to IRCC was blur due to compression. It was 6.86 MB after scanning then after compressing, it was 3.50 MB. I am afraid my application might be rejected due to this issue.

What can be the remedy since I already have submitted to IRCC ?

Your really should have asked before submitting, 6.86mb is very small and compressing it below 4mb would not have been difficult At all with very good quality . I compressed 15mb to 4mb and still had a reasonable clearity. And I don’t advice you withdraw the application because that would be automatic rejection, so that’s off the table. Maybe the gurus in the house can come up with a better way out.

Hello house

I just feel I should add my own 2 cent, for people who have been looking for ways to covert to pdf, merge different pdf files to one file, those people looking for how to compress pdf files while you still get to have a good quality retained, those people who want to sign their forms(like adding signature), also for those finding it hard to open their visa IMM forms and have it filled, Also people who have scanned documents with mistakes and want to have the mistakes corrected even after scanning them already ( but please I know with this you can be tempted to temper with you bank statements after scanning, please don’t)? My advice get adobe professional, it’s the best. it’s a paid software for pc but you can get the cracked version online for free it’s about 1.5gig but it would solve this above issues you have neatly without stress.

Would try and post a link to getting the cracked version to make it easier for people to have access to the software for those who might need it

Wishing us all the very best.
