Pretty straightforward application to be honest.

First step is to make an online application. You need to be meticulous when filling necessary information as making any silly mistake could affect the successful outcome of the application. After the completion of your online application, you are expected to pay the Visa and IHS fees. You will be sent a GWF number and IHS reference number upon payment of the aforementioned fees.

The second step is to book an appointment with TLS. You can either upload your documents by yourself before going for the appointment or pay them to upload your documents on the day of your appointment.

Most Nigerian banks put their limit at 100 usd which is less than the visa fee. If you have a dollar card (domiciliary account) that would work. I saw somewhere on this group that 2 banks still have their limits at 300 usd and you can use their cards. But I can’t remember the bank name. Hopefully someone helps out with that.

Please I am planning to study in Canada for my Masters in Computer Science (University of Manitoba, University of Saskatchewan or Memorial University). I finished my B.Sc in 2015 and since them focus on my business. I own an I.T Company which have been running for 8 years now and its doing really well. in terms of properties: I have a 2 Unit 3 Bedroom Flat Building, My personal house and lands in different location in Nigeria. I am also happily married with a kid(1year old kid). I needed to give this background information so that you can understand my plight. I can also comfortably set aside N20m to N30million for my 2 years stay in canada with my family (wife and a kid).

Here are my questions:

1. Does travelling along with my family (Wife and kid) affect my visa application, since i have to prove that I will return to my country?
2. If you have had success traveling with your family on a student permit, please what are the documents you put together for your visa application.
3. If i decide to go alone and want my wife and kid to join me in like 2 to 3 months, is it possible? if yes, how do i go about it.
4. If my wife should come via visit visa will she be able to convert it to work permit visa and stay with me over there since i have a study permit?
5. Should i go about the travelling process online myself or engage a travel consultant as i have seen a lot of testimonies here?

1.it’s always advisable to leave your spouse and kid back, they are your strongest homes ties that can compel you to come back to your home country. They can always join you much later.

3. Yes your wife and kid can always join you when you get to Canada, you just have to show enough financial strength to take care of there stay in Canada.

4. She can come with visitors visa, or a work permit visa.

5. It’s advisable you do it by yourself, most of the agents won’t treat this application diligently the way you would.. I advice you go back to the beginning of this thread and start reading. All you need to apply yourself is in this thread..

All that you seek for a successful study permit is within this thread and the previous ones. Just take out time and start reading..

to your question it depends, are you self sponsored or been sponsored? And was there any lump sum deposit?

Yes they can decide to add another reason, so when you are re-applying , still try and tackle the usuals (homes ties,employment,purpose of visit)

I have but if i do a normal compression the file is about 6MB, but if i do a strong compression the file will be 3.39MB but the quality of the images are really low

Let me give you a hack.. put each scanned documents to be submitted on your phone, open and screen grab it, this would shred the size by a chunk. Then Move it to your laptop and use Adobe DC to compress each file, then merge. This should really help with the size.

Hello good day everyone one of the user here helped me in making payments to my school while I send her naira equivalent I only agreed to this because the school confirmed first.... she made execess of 2500cad... she contacted her bank to that effect and I later found out about 4000cad was voided by the school back to her bank... after confirming to her it has be returned to her bank she is yet to give me a valid reply and I woke up this morning to see she blocked my two numbers... have already mailed the school to this effect...

Make it banking related because of your work experience, and I would advice you not to mention your initial masters. Doing that would not show career progression as the VO would expect you to go for a PHD since you already have a masters. Except you can explain without a doubt why the second masters would be of outmost important to you. But I advice you not to talk about your initial masters.

Skull you don’t need a sample letter. The lawyer that would do it for you would be the one to draft it, and notarize it as well... he would just ask you for few details concerning the property to be gifted. sign, and give you also to sign, also wittiness to sign. Either of you can pay it. your sponsor paying it would buttress his commitment to sponsoring you and also make the VO see your sponsor as being genuine and committed to your educational sojourn.

Try and respond to the VO’s worries in the GCMS notes especially when crafting the sop towards the purpose of visit... as long as it’s study plan is vague you should be able to tackle it but if it’s career progression then you might need to change the program.

I paid 5000 CAD for tuition deposit and as at now we have 7m in the account but will hopefully raise 20m before I apply for my visa. I intend to apply alone even though I have a daughter.
Now my fear is, since my program is close do I still go ahead to and apply? And also the refusal rates nowadays is alarming and is making me skeptical should I go ahead and apply regardless or wait till the world is a bit normal. I was able to gather few information that the rate of denial is high but their desk is full or so so they trying to clear and let new applications come in. Has anyone been approved recently? Please I’d like for all the guru to come to my aid in this, I want to make my mi d to either go ahead with the application or defer to April next year. But my visa was refused because of two reasons

1)am not satisfied you will leave Canada after study based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence

2)am not satisfied you will leave Canada based on your purpose of visit

My father is my sponsor and it stated clearly every financial document and capacity well gathered and submitted too

Please I wanna re apply what should I get right?

Family ties has to do more with properties than finance, properties what a good value that may cpell you to come back, likewise if you married your wife and kids are the strongest family ties... so did you submit properties form dad or you?

Going for a phd without funding and still looking for another but in the main time my winter admission for Jan 2021 is almost here. I already raised my SOA from 4m to 9m (32k cad) curtesy of gift deed of 5m from parents added their pay slips and last promotion letter with int passport. Also my sponsor who was termed 3rd party in my GCMS note becos he is a distant uncle from mother side has paid my first year tuition of 10k cads upfront against winter 2021 with promise in sponsorship letter of paying for the remaining 3years (my tuition plus living expenses per year is 20k cads) he has a company and a closing balance of 65k cad. Phd Mcgill university. I am thinking of reapplying next week. Already tackled home ties by living my family behind and tackled travel history by talking about the need to travel now. Can i reapply like this or i shud add other things again?

Only issue I sense here is that, won’t the VO raise eye brows on why your uncle is going to use almost all his funds on you, plus you guys don’t bare same surname. Why would your uncle having 65k spend about 50-60k on you? He would be left with 5k after sponsoring you. Those he not have dependents of his own? This is a question begging for an answer bro.. this is RED bro
