Politics#ondodecides2016: Day 2 New Appeal Court Hearing Updates by engineerboat(op):
The Abuja Division of the Appeal Court on Today Monday 7th November, 2016 resumed hearing on the Peoples Democratic Party’s crisis in Ondo State, about a week after it was suspended following allegations of bribery.

The court had on Tuesday adjourned the matter after a factional chairman of the party in the state, Biyi Poroye, accused Justice Jummai Sankey of receiving bribe from Governor Olusegun Mimiko.

The court is to determine the right candidate for the November 26 governorship election between Eyitayo Jegede and Jimoh Ibrahim.

The two men represent the PDP factions controlled by Ahmed Makarfi and Modu Sherifff respectively.
The case was suspended after Mr. Poroye of the Sheriff’s faction accused the judge of bribery.
Mrs. Jummai and two other judges stood down from the case.

The case was reassigned by the president of the Appeal Court, Zainab Bulkachuwa, to a panel headed by Justice Ibrahim Salauwa.

During the hearing at todays sitting, a counsel representing the Sheriff faction requested further adjournment to allow him access documents from the registry.

The counsel, Godswill Mrakpor, said he had informed the court during its last sitting that he had a fresh application to make and that the application was only made on Monday morning.
He prayed the court for an adjournment to let him access the documents.

Mr. Mrapkor irked the panel as he spoke brashly, in an attempt to compel the court to grant his request.

Justice Salauwa said the action of Mr. Mrakpor was enough to warrant punishment but after various appeals for mercy by senior advocates from both sides, the application by Mr. Mrakpor was overruled. No further punishment was granted.

The case is still ongoing.

The remaining 3 appeals is set for hearing today.

Christianity EtcRe: Why Do Angels Have Millions Of Languages? by engineerboat(m): 10:45pm On Nov 06, 2016
So many languages on nairaland

Does that remove the fact that the general mode of communication remains English

Even though people tends to go different languages in some discussions
Christianity EtcRe: Why Do Angels Have Millions Of Languages? by engineerboat(m): 10:43pm On Nov 06, 2016
Seun:
We are told that when people speak in tongues or sing/pray in the spirit, they are speaking in the 'tongues of angels' and not human languages. However, we know that the tongues spoken by millions of spirit-filled Christians are quite unique. This implies that angels have millions of languages. This sounds very wrong, because it suggests that heaven is a place of confusion. If all angels are united under God's leadership, one would expect all of them to speak the same language. I can't think of any reason why God's angels would have so many languages. Can you?
How many languages can you speak

I enjoyed listening to this 'ministration'. It took place at a South African Christ Embassy Church on Mother's Day some years ago:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SktKgtHLy0

Some people on Youtube are offended by this made-in-church video, claiming that the organizers will "pay for it on judgment day". Why? huh
This is very offensive naaaa.

Christianity EtcRe: TB Joshua: Hillary Clinton Will Win Narrowly by engineerboat(m): 10:20pm On Nov 06, 2016
Seun:
Exactly, and here it is: http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2016-election-forecast/

(Hillary Clinton has a 65% chance of winning, so we know that "a woman" is likely to win. She's expected to win 48.4% of the popular vote, to Trump's 45.5%, which would be very narrow. The expected electoral vote gap is also quite narrow at 291 for Clinton to 245 for Trump. Also, of course Hillary Clinton will have trouble passing bills in a republican congress, and due to her troubles with the FBI they will try to indict her)
Oga Seun you cannot conclude just like that naaa

I still can't understand why Nigerian youths find it so hard to air/share their views concerning issues without ever resorting to and/or employing insults. I am from Ondo State. I was interested in this thread because of that. Now I'm even so wary to contribute because someone won't respect the fact that I have a right to my own opinion(s). I would rather stay on the sidelines and watch yet another nairaland drama as it unfolds. If there was anything Buhari has done perfectly right, it was him correctly proposing that "change begins with me". The change we desire truly begins with "us". Shalom!
The problem and truth of the matter is that many people are not ready for constructive discussion. Many will only jump into thread only to criticise the writer without reading the write up or comments

Because you are not making sense.

Withdraw and dismissed are they the same.

Olanipekun seeks d Court permission to withdraw earlier appeal filed by Faboyede which opposing counsels didn't object.
