Yadid: Red flags are all over the place, but it looks like you are so into him you are willing to overlook them. You need to take things slow here You are very right. The red flag is so real. The guy is a player who has mastered the act of playing on a woman's emotions and the lady is too desperate. She just needs to slow things down. Her great mistake is if she has started sleeping with him. That would be her greatest undoing. |

This is just a sad story. Be the real man at this trying moments. Call your so-called wife and the "daughter", including your relations regarding this matter. Let them know what you have found out. And after that, jejely walk out of the marriage. For your instincts to tell you to read the messages on her phone, know that it's God's ordained plan to save you from an impeding danger. |

pocohantas: Shut up! You are beginning to sound like a broken record. Was your mother not first a Nigerian woman before your dad married her, had sex with her and she became a revered MOTHER that can do no wrong?
Were you not one of the tribal warlords calling Lola (the Yoruba witch) a bad woman?
Were you not one of those that said she should learn from Anita how to be submissive and keep a family together?
Because you can’t bring yourself to attack Anita’s tribe, since you are Igbo yourself, you have decided to lump women together.
When you guys are not tearing yourselves down along tribal lines, next thing is to face your common enemy- WOMEN.
Tell us why Anita, the accepted IGBO PERFECT and SUBMISSIVE WIFE ran away. Maybe Peter is indeed right!
This is why every wise man should create a balance between his nuclear family and extended family. Peter separated himself from them and since they couldn’t see Lola (their common enemy) to prey on and blame every wrongdoing on, they turned on themselves. Peter has finally been vindicated. I swear, Paul na Taliban, Peter na USA. That's why peter ran away from paul just the same way USA ran from taliban wahala. |

Akannitommy: @afomon12 and @ikemummy
Congrats on your admissions and funding. I also wish you both and others still waiting a positive outcome in your applications.
From personal experience and those I know on this paltform as well as offline, it is best to always include your own bank account statements in addition to the school funding. For instance, I had less than N50,000 in my account when I submitted my application with full funding (for 4-years). However, that didn't stop me from generating MBS for the naira and for a virtually empty dorm account too to show as POF. I requested my GCMS note two months after arriving in Canada to get a sense of how the processing went. It was a 78-page document. NB: When I submitted application for SP in August 2020, NSE was not yet in effect then.
For the person who is married and already submitted the application with school funding only, (27k CAD is not addequate per the new NSE rule). This is where you could have used you own personal bank statement to make up the difference. Note that you also have a family and the VO will likely adjudged your application with an eye on what your family will survive on while you are away. So if you want to send additional document, I suggest you add a LOE that shows breakdown of your costs for the first year and your funding plans. Show how your family will cope financially while you are away even if this is just showing that your spouse has a job/business to support in your absence. March application date also seems a bit mature so I would request GCSM notes now.
For the single applicant, I think you did a good job but could always be better. If you have no qualms with submitting your own bank statement for one year, I think it is okay to do so. Although it would have been best if this was done originally.
All in all, both applications are promising.
post=102957456]Wow!!! Please let us keep in touch. Thanks Akannitommy for the enlightenment. Can l use my wife's confectionary business to show she has a job to support herself with while I am away. NB. Her cake business is not registered with CAC. |

shupy: Thank you very much for this follow-up. Everyone else dismissed the advice given to the OP. It's a difficult circumstance and they were all saying there's no reason to be concerned. Nothing is impossible but a false hope in the name of being positive is dangerous especially when the red flags can be addressed. I have come to realise people would rather listen to those that give them high expectations than those that are realistic. I'm going to start keeping my opinion to myself. Nairaland doesn't show the true reality of application refusal rate. It's easy to give an update about PPR, it takes a lot to write about application refusal. Only a very few are able to do so and it's important we learn from their experience. Keeping your opinions is not the best bro. Comparing what you & nifnifemi stated, I realized both of you actually have got some valid points concerning the matter at hand. I think the person in question would have weighed everyone's opinions and I believe he must have acted wisely after all. You have been of tremendous help to us on this forum since 1900BC. ossysam1: Good afternoon House, I want to apply for study permit using my elder brother as my sponsor. He is 45years and 1am 40years. I have a BSc in Accounting (3.70/5) with over 8years banking experience. I was offered admission in Financial Planning (PGD)for Jan 2022. I was shocked when someone told me that it will be difficult to get a study permit if I use my brother to serve as my sponsor. My elder brother is a business man.
Please I will appreciate if I can be properly guided so I would be sure I'm in the right direction both for the course and sponsorship.
Thank you. Don't mind whoever said that to you. It won't be hard, bro. If you bear the same surname, that's fine. If you don't bear the same surname(because I have seen some cases like that), prove with an affidavit that he is your elder brother. Back everything up with a strong SOP, some documents(like his birth certificate, family pictures, affidavit/notarization letter signed by him and lawyer etc) and you are good to go. It will end in praise. |

You can simply tell IRCC that they should use the normal route to process your application, telling them that the time to prepare and submit your IELTS is somewhat short. That is if you don't want to write IELTS. I hope this helps. It will end in praise. |

Imagine someone waiting for three month for medical request. Hello Lianna2020. Congrats on your PPR. I read on the UCW website that IELTS is not compulsory if English was the language used in the Uni l graduated from. Please why do l still need the IELTS for the student visa application. It is unfortunate I have to explain something as basic as that to you. I'm sure that if it is to open legs like caterpault, you will quickly understand that one. Your head dey there, bro. You're very right. Even if the men bring the bastard home, they don't pin it on the women that the child is hers.
