Thank you very much for this follow-up. Everyone else dismissed the advice given to the OP. It's a difficult circumstance and they were all saying there's no reason to be concerned. Nothing is impossible but a false hope in the name of being positive is dangerous especially when the red flags can be addressed.
I have come to realise people would rather listen to those that give them high expectations than those that are realistic. I'm going to start keeping my opinion to myself. Nairaland doesn't show the true reality of application refusal rate. It's easy to give an update about PPR, it takes a lot to write about application refusal. Only a very few are able to do so and it's important we learn from their experience.

Keeping your opinions is not the best bro. Comparing what you & nifnifemi stated, I realized both of you actually have got some valid points concerning the matter at hand. I think the person in question would have weighed everyone's opinions and I believe he must have acted wisely after all.

You have been of tremendous help to us on this forum since 1900BC. And I, in particular won't make light of your opinions.

Good afternoon House,
I want to apply for study permit using my elder brother as my sponsor. He is 45years and 1am 40years. I have a BSc in Accounting (3.70/5) with over 8years banking experience. I was offered admission in Financial Planning (PGD)for Jan 2022.
I was shocked when someone told me that it will be difficult to get a study permit if I use my brother to serve as my sponsor. My elder brother is a business man.

Please I will appreciate if I can be properly guided so I would be sure I'm in the right direction both for the course and sponsorship.

Thank you.

Don't mind whoever said that to you. It won't be hard, bro. If you bear the same surname, that's fine. If you don't bear the same surname(because I have seen some cases like that), prove with an affidavit that he is your elder brother. Back everything up with a strong SOP, some documents(like his birth certificate, family pictures, affidavit/notarization letter signed by him and lawyer etc) and you are good to go.

It will end in praise.

Can I be approved if I don't go through NSE?
You can. NSE is express route. Without NSE is normal route.
You can simply tell IRCC that they should use the normal route to process your application, telling them that the time to prepare and submit your IELTS is somewhat short. That is if you don't want to write IELTS.
I hope this helps.

It will end in praise.

The IELTS test costs approximately ₦75.000 in Nigeria. The price is consistent across British Council test centers for the IELTS Academic and General Training exams.

Have you registered for IELTS or you're planning to do so?

Are you having issues with preparation?

Do you desire to have a very high score in your first attempt?

If yes, I've got a solution you'll love.

And I'm willing to share it with you if you

Instead of waiting for medical request, I think new applicant should always try and do upfront medical.
It makes it easier and complete .

Imagine someone waiting for three month for medical request.
Hello Lianna2020. Congrats on your PPR. I read on the UCW website that IELTS is not compulsory if English was the language used in the Uni l graduated from. Please why do l still need the IELTS for the student visa application. I just got an offer letter at UCW for MBA and I have paid the tuition fee for Oct intake. Though I am yet to start the student application, l foresee IELTS may be an issue as there is limited time for me to study and write the exam. Do you think my PPR will be ready before October. What do you advise.

People get killed and the killers go Scot free. Infact, they are walking freely in the street. If in doubt, ask the fulani bandits, the kidnappers, the boko guys etc. This ordinarily will not happen in a saner country.

not really. The first time he came to see her, which has been a while now, he didn't come empty handed

I am happy you said he brought something the first time he came. Your fiance wasn't wrong when he came the other time without anything. Maybe, he never had but he still showed courtesy and respect by coming to see his would be- in laws. The mistake you made was that you should never have supported your mum. My wife has supported me uncountable times when I go visit her parents. There was a time l wanted giving 5k to them. My wife "cornered" me quickly and added another 5k to make it 10k. So, l know what I am talking about. If you are certain the guy is great with some good prospects, please swallow your pride and apologize to him.

It seems you are so daft that you don't understand the thrust of this issue. Men who cheat on their wives with DNA don't bring bastards home. The problem is not cheating but bringing bastards home.

It is unfortunate I have to explain something as basic as that to you. I'm sure that if it is to open legs like caterpault, you will quickly understand that one. Your head dey there, bro. You're very right. Even if the men bring the bastard home, they don't pin it on the women that the child is hers. The women would know from day one that the child isn't hers but unfortunately, it's unlike the men. The women would, from the day the child is in their womb, transfer another man's child to another man. God have mercy on the men o and save us from devilish women.

This life no balance at all. Two dudes in the same household. One is hammering his wife, doing it legitimately and giving birth to legitimate child(ren). Another one is hammering his baby mamas illegitimately, giving birth to illegitimate children.
The absurdity of life is that the latter is even well celebrated than the former.

sadEven though I've been a born again Christian of over 25 years, I think we Christians really need to let the sleeping Dog lie. I have been to several Arab nations on tourism and Evangelism and I can attest to the fact that Arabic remains one of the unique and outstanding languages on earth. What is the big deal in having Arabic inscriptions on Naira notes and Army uniform? Nigeria is a country of Muslim majority and due to their numerical advantage I think the Muslims deserve to have the Arabic as a national symbol. I mostly prefer to read my bible in Arabic language for better understanding despite being a Christian. The Muslims in this country have never complained of the fact that the national language is English. The Christian missionaries brough English language to Nigeria and our dear Muslim brothers easily accepted it without fuss. Why are we Christians trouble some unnecessarily? We Christians really to be careful not to cause a national disaster sad
Point of correction, it's not christian missionaries that brought English to Nigeria. Those that colonized us did.
