Romance / Re: My Apology Letter To My Man by engyadewale(m): 4:09am On Aug 14, 2013
iydih: My Prince Charming like I always call you, I know am not perfect and I may do things that get you angry atimes please forgive me...... I Respect, Regard and Value you as my man..... I don't know what to do again to tell u how sorry i am for all my actions.... So I decided to use this medium to apologise to you once again and also tell u that I LOVE YOU SO MUCH ADEWALE and I hope u get to read this someday.... MY APOLOGY TO THE MAN I LOVE....

I love you so very much ADEWALE,
Even though I do things that hurt atimes,
I try so hard for you to always see,
How much you being in my life means to me,
I am sorry yet again for causing you pain I was already sleeping yesterday nite and all I remember reading from our chat was sorry not knowing u sent other chats and I was reading bt not replying,
that is the last thing I ever wanted to do,
Even when I am trying to look out for you and do the right thing
I mess up, I am sorry for that too. My darling like I always call you I never meant to disrespect or disregard you in any way.
I hope that you still know how much I love and cherish you,
Like nothing else in my life gives me the trill of being loved by you because you are happiness,
So I hope that you listen, read and see
this sincere apology that comes with tears in my eyes asking for the true love we once shared...... You are my Happiness and all I want is for you to be happy MY PRINCE CHARMING.. Am so sorry ADEWALE GBOLAHUN. embarassed embarassed
@iydih..I have read your note here on NL including Facebook and BBM. I want to use this very medium to let you know that your apology is accepted and that I do not bear any grudge against you any longer. But my resolution remains that you should afford me time to clear my head. And I really want to commend my fellow Nairalanders who have lent their sympathies to this issue but may I inform you that you are only privy to very little reason for my action. I love iydih so much and I have demonstrated my love to her in many ways. But I have also realized that she has taken my love for granted for certain reasons and so been treating me with sheer contempt. So now I feel I should perhaps live my life in my own way to earn that respect I deserve from any lady I would want to date and get married to. Thank you so much for all your comments

zionking28:

1) You have to open an account (register) on the USCIS site and then follow instructions.
2) You can only add the 0 digits if the alien number given to you is not up to 9 digits. If less than 9 digits 0s should only be added before your Alien Number and hope you still remember your Case ID cos you'l be needing it.
3) You can pay with ur debit card. I paid with my GT- Debit Master Card.

Do not forget to print out the receipt for payment by clicking go back to homepage immediately after payment or the message icon when you are logged in. Goodluck!
Thank you so much for this response.

Travel / Re: Diversity Visa Immigrant? Welcome To America by engyadewale(m): 6:38am On Jul 02, 2013
My greetings to all honourable members of this hallowed room. May Almighty God increase you all in knowledge, wisdom and understanding. It's my desire to articulate certain interrogations about the payment of USCIS which is 165 dollars. I read on this forum sometimes ago that certain letters were to be changed or added to the alien number given by the embassy but I still do not understand. Please I covet your illumination on this.
Also, can the payment be made using the regular ATM debit card that is of Master card, or are there designated cards to be used for the payment?
Please succour me on these queries. Thank you so much.

zionking28: Hello house, esp to those who have made the USCIS payment (165 USD). I had an error while trying to make payment 2 days ago, I got an error message saying the digits given must be 9 and that if one is given less than 9 digits 0s should be added before the A, so I added 0 since I was given 8 digits to make 9 digits. Hope this applies to those who have already made payment.
Though, I got a 13 digits Receipt ID.
Secondly, I would be flying next week an I need to know if I can travel with beverages, washing soap (Ariel and Canoe), grinded Egunsi, Ogbono, Stock fish etc.
Thnx all and I expect ur reply as soon as possible.
Hello brother, please I want to make my USCIS payment too but I still don't know how to go about it. I read also on this forum that certain letters or digits must be added or changed but I have not yet gotten what exactly is to be done. Please kindly enlighten me on those things to do. I also want to know if the payment is done with the regular ATM debit master card or what card did you use for your payment? Thank you so much.

Gentiger:

Since you don't have your SSN and alien registration number (Printed in front of your green card) yet, you can't start these application now. What you can start doing now is to process your transcript and send to any accredited credential evaluation service provider. You can't afford to wait till you get here to begin this process.
Many thanks to you Gentiger. You remain very invaluable to this forum. God bless you.

Gentiger: AN UPDATE ON SCHOOLING IN THE US.

I need to draw your attention to some facts I left out of the last publication vis-a-vis schooling in America the easy way. Now you can have it all.

When filling out your FAFSA form online, always specify your least education qualifications (O'levels) as your highest attained education status. The truth is this, that's all was required in the first place to get your visa. Your graduate and post graduate degree is of little consequence. Now why do this? If you fill you have graduated from college /University, automatically the payable sum in grant and loans are reduced to the least minimum.and the interest on loan could become changeable to your detriment. PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THIS.

Again you will be asked the highest education level attained by your parents. Please specify Jnr. High. This is about the least education level in the US. Why do this? It's to show your parents are not gainfully employed and incapable of sponsoring you through school. If you fill that your parents are graduates, again your benefits are slashed to the barest minimum.

Finally on this, you cannot access your grant or loan from the government without filling out the Selective Service form online. Every male below 26 years of age must fill out the form online to show a desire to join the military or otherwise. You will be denied a lot of benefits if you don't, including grants from the government and loans too. If you're above 26 years of age as a male, on the website which I will supply shortly, you must download the appropriate form, fill and send by regular post to the specified address. Now go to this website to begin:

www.sss.gov

Expect my next publications on landing your dream job in the States soon, with all the juicy details on necessary licensing and certification.

Happy stay in the USA for those who are already here. For those still awaiting interview or selection, I wish you success.

Gentiger signing off from Los Angeles, CA.
I sincerely love this info. Gentiger, you are indeed rendering unimaginable succour to members of this fabulous forum. You are, of a truth, a fabulous member, Gentiger and I salute your goodwill.
I want to know if there is anything one can do in Nigeria in connection with schooling in USA before one finally leaves Nigeria for USA or is it that all processes must be started there in USA when one gets there?
Many thanks Gentiger

God of Shiloh and Pastor E.A. Adeboye did favour me yesterday, May 6 when I had my interview at US embassy. Good people of this fabulous forum should join me in praising and thanking this Most High God.........Almighty God is indeed great oh. My interview experience is as follows:
I arrived at the embassy around few minutes past 6 a.m. Though I was scheduled for 10a.m. appointment. I didn't want to take any chance because Lagos traffic could be very unpredictable.
I met some people who were scheduled for 6.30/7a.m. non-immigrant interviews so the security personnel attended to the non-immigrants first till it was around some minutes to 10a.m. Then, we, the DV lottery immigrants and other immigrants were called to form a queue for security checks.
Pls note, certain items such as phones, camera, liquid like perfume, flash drives and any sharp object are not allowed to be carried into the interview room. I didn't want to go with my phone initially but my friend questioned why I would go out without any phone, should there be reasons to make calls. So I took my phones along. But when instructed to leave all those items behind, I looked for one of the MOPOLs around and asked him to keep my phones for me. He agreed but joked that I was going to give him 100 dollars.
I went through the security checks, all sealed envelopes were asked to be opened even the sealed medical report. Our names were checked against a list using the 2nd notification letter by a woman and a payment slip was issued for the visa application fee of 330 dollars or 54,500 naira equivalent and we were marched to the interview hall. A paper ticket was issued at the entrance of the hall containing number and on entering the hall, security details directed us to the cashier point for payment. I paid in dollars and two computer receipts were issued, one for the deparment of state and the customer copy. Thereafter, my tag number was called to submit the originals and photocopies of my certificate together with my int'l passport, passport photographs (2x2) and a little paper form where we were instructed to fill our name, pertitioner name and our residential address in nigeria including mobile number. Everything was submitted and we were advised to wait till our tag numbers appeared on a digital display screen, to be interviewed by the Consular Officers.
I initially felt fearful but remembering all I have read on this forum, i reassured myself that all would be well. After waiting for close to two hours, my tag number finally appeared on window 14 and with smiles I approached this fine white guy...........lolz

Me: Good Afternoon Sir
CO: Good Afternoon
Me: how are you doing?
CO: fine, thank you
Me: you are welcome
CO: may I take your finger prints pls
Me: I quickly placed my left fingers without the thumb on the scanner since I have watched others before my turn then followed by right fingers without the thumb and then the two thunbs at the same time.
CO: good
Me: alright Sir
CO: could you raise your hand up, swearing that all you say here would be truths and nothing but the truths
Me: yes I do
CO: good
Me: smiles
CO: do you have your payment receipts with you?
Me: yes I do
CO: pls let me have them
Me: I quickly passed the two copies to him and he signed on my customer's copy and returned it to me.
CO: is this application? (Showing me the forms I sent to KCC), pls sign on the yellow line there, passing the forms to me
Me: I signed and returned to him
CO: what's your highest qualification?
Me: I hold a bachelor's degree of engineering in electrical/electronics
CO: good (looking at his system). Did you serve after you graduated?
Me: yes I did
CO: where?
Me: in Bauchi State
CO: what did you do there?
Me: I was posted to a secondary school, Government Day Secondary School, Misau.
CO: good. Since then what are you doing?
Me: I work with StanbicIBTC bank PLC as a direct sales agent.
CO: he started typing on his system and said everything looks good. I'm gonna give you the visa
Me: thank you Sir
CO: congratulations
Me: thank you
CO: he took two sheets of paper, circling an address where I would pick up my visa after a week and the second paper, directing how I would pay the green card fee before travelling and those sheets were handled to me.
Sincerely yours, I left the hall with bundles of joy and the very first security I met on my way out, I dash the guy 1k, another security guy too, 1k and then the MOPOL guy too 1k. I'm so grateful to Almighty God for making this possible.
I thank all members of this fabulous forum for all your contributions. God has indeed favoured me.
Perhaps I should share this too. I came across this forum when I got my 1st notification and was really confused on the steps to take. I contacted a female friend who her brother also won the lottery some years ago to connect me with her brother in US so he could put me through all the processing.
To my surprise, the lady told me that her brother insisted that I should arrange marriage with her before he could render any assistance. The lady said she was not happy about her brother's requirement and that she had her fiance. She advised me to look elsewhere for assistance, that she would not even want to go into such arrangee marriage because of travelling out. I was totally lost on what to do. I decided to google certain agents' addresses that I heard on radio and I prayed to God to help me. While playing with words on google search engine so as to get the information, I came about this link and I was so happy that I didn't even bother looking for any agent again. Since then, I have been taking my time to read posts and comments and once in awhile contributed too.
This forum has been so helpful and I want to bless God for it. It's my earnest prayer that those who are yet to be interviewed would be favoured by God and their visas be granted IJN. AMEN
PRAISE BE TO GOD ALMIGHTY.......HE IS INDEED THE MOST HIGH GOD.

I want to really appreciate those who have taken it upon themselves to educate, advise and inform us on the various processes and steps involved with this DV lottery. I never believed before that I could be this confident and knowledgeable about this lottery processing without having to consult an agent. I'm eternally grateful for energy expended to enlighten us......My query this time is to know if it won't be too early for a selectee with CN of 14,000 to start international passport processing and NPC attestion even as it's not yet known when the CN will be current?
