Lexusgs430: FBMP is littered with scammers........
Autotrader would be your best hunting ground........ Ensure you conduct all online checks, prior to purchasing any vehicle.......
If you have a credit card, use it to buy the car or simply pay a deposit over £100.01......
And lastly, I prefer Japanese vehicles...... Parts are usually available on Ebay or motor factor outlets.......
NB: Don't pay a deposit on a vehicle, unless you're 101% certain........ Please sometimes ago u posted link for people to search jobs related to only nhs, u also posted link for ppl to search job for government civil roles. Pls can u repost both links abeg Then please how best can someone land a project management entry role cus there are not much of those roles on indeed, i wanna work in a firm as a pm but as entry cus i dont have enough experience yet, so how can i land such roles. Also i need a very good reliable and trustworthy pm tutorial bootcamp or tutor if you know any pls. Thank you. Others can contribute too. Anyone |

Schoolhike: The issue of car part being expensive might be true but I’m not convinced with the fact that one particular maker being expensive compare to another, the rule of thumb is that those mechanic still charges the same amount per hour irrespective of the car make, my mechanic do allow me to source parts online and he still charge almost same amount for the car, not much difference in my pay when I changed from mazda to Mercedes,
Most important is to buy a car that won’t be giving you much problems, start from the mot history of the car, age, mileage, reason for selling, how May previous users, how long mot was last done etc,
Come to talk of it, if not for the cost of repair that is way too expensive, we don’t normally think of all this back in Nigeria because the cost of repair is very cheap, repaired just a common mazda Alternator for 250£ (less than 30k before I left Nigeria (mistakenly put wrong fuel in the car also cost me around 120£ ) etc, wanted to get mot done cost me almost 1,200£ to fix the car ( car that still works fine, but must repair cos of mot), happy that the car is off road now self cos of accident, really cost me a lot then Thanks i appreciate you |

Lexusgs430: I remember many years ago, one lady wanted me to send me on a trip to Italy, with a hand luggage....... 😂
After firing her series of questions, she knew that £500 she wanted to give me, was not enough to trade my freedom........😂 My boss, m thinking of buying a reliable car of 4k to 4.5k Which do you think is best and where can one buy from autotrader or fb market. Plus is it better to go for the likes of toyota or hyundai Or go for german like golf and the likes. Cus have hrd too many stories of ppl saying toyota car might be cheap but repairs might be expensive cus the part has to be shipped from china or japan And have heard ppl say german cars might be expensive but repair is cheap cus parts are in europe and not far from uk What is ur take pls I dont mind if others contribute too P.S i am not a outdoor person i rarely drive, infact i hate driving, m buying the car to increase chances of getting job |

Lexusgs430: Your international DL, is tied with the arrival stamp on your passport.....
Once it hits 12 month's, your IDL rights don expire....... Lexus i see plenty ppl who have been here over 2 years and they still use nigerian dl, they just renew it from nigeria and send it over, and they still pay insurance, i wonder how they always scale through, or could it be because they have not actually had any police confrontation on the road that is why they have not been dealt with, cus i specifically know two ppl who have been here over 2 years and doing dorm care with their car with naija dl and nothing has happened. Infact one even has uk dl, but he is still using naija dl because the naija dl makes his insurance cheaper so he claims, cus he said the the naija dl makes him look like he has been driving for long and the uk dl makes him look like a fresh driver and because of that he sticks to the naija dl for insurance |

Peerielass: What does you payslip say for the deductions? Is it PAYE or Employee NI contribution? Also did you get a P60 from your employer at the end of the tax year? No p60 was given. It says NI a seperate money was deducted for that, it also says tax a seperate money was deducted for that, then pension a seperate money was deducted for that. |

Hello guys.
I had a job from nov 2022 till date. PS its my first and only job in uk.
Now from nov 2022 to april 2023 my salary is not up to 12k. But within these months, i paid tax of about 100+ in feb,100+ in march and 80+ in apr 2023.
On the hmrc site it says i paid 0 pounds which i assume is the correct thing.
But my employers took taxes from me according to my payslips.
I feel i should have the feb, march and apr taxes refunded by now or could i be wrong? |
