tonychristopher:Because it's a fraud. |
yorke1:Very real! Church can go to hel |
I was born Christian, I only go to ceremoniously, as far as I'm concern, the bible is a fraud. Christianity is the biggest fraud, well plan and structure. |
Sometimes you guys come to nairaland to spoil peoples name, maybe someone you have disagreement with, and that maybe slander, why not explain to us, how they defraud you. Not to just say fraud, scam. |
Killing an innocent Nigerian is what our police and law enforcement agency is doing. |
Nigeria police force has been in this business since 1960, shame on them. I'm sure the policeman that Rob this guy in most have been dead, because they die like chicken. |
Visit area f police station Ikeja, you will see them counting hundreds of thousands, of naira, as if they are selling market, but all those money extorted, from innocent people, on daily basis. |
Nigerian police are always good, with deceiving people. Visit a police station to make a report, they will teach you how to make false allegation, when it backfires they will deny you. Lesson: Don't ever take advise from police officer, even if he is your relation, and also false allegation is a criminal offence, many have been jail for it. Always speak the truth. |
That's daylight robbery. |
RedCard1:In times of sickness let's try to help, I don't care if he help somebody or not, my idea is, just simple, 100naira each and problem will be solve. Rather than waiting on one person or church to solve the problem. The bill might be too much on them. |
Let's help me, 100,naira each for 100,000,nairaland member, will solve his problems. |
Trackready:Guy, nairaland is not police, this kind of story shouldn't make front page, until it becomes official, the appropriate authority need to be involve, and investigate. If you like call moderator 1million times, is not going to front page. Do the needful, and he will come begging for case withdrawal. |
Don't fall for his cheap blackmail, you have more evidence, he is a lawyer and he knows the consequences. He is already hooked and he is not getting out. |
@ op, don't go and attack the sis, you will be taking law into ur hand, ask the guy to return ur money or complete the job you pay for, then you take down the post, simple. If he refuse, I can help you get him arrested, and he will be charge to court. It will be shame a lawyer involve in this kind of scam. |
The police is wonderful institution, the only thing we need to do is fish out the bad ones in NPF, and our Police will be one of the best in world #operationfishoutbadpolice |
AwesomelyMade:I'm not an insider, but I knew when emeka ike financial problems started in 2013, and as you know, pastor Chris is a billionaire, he can easily manipulate any married woman, having little problem in her marriage. I pity any man trusting his pastor, even adeboye. #trustnopastor |
I just pity emeka ike, I think he is a good guy, the real problem is emeka is having financial problem, so pastor Chris took advantage. Women ain't loyal @ all. Lesson: don't trust any pastor, they're all evil. |
@ op Which part of Nigeria are you in? |
excellentmomma:The blogger has apologise, when he found out the news is false, since last month, why the arrest? This is illegal arrest. |
excellentmomma:I never support defamation, but I think using the police is illegal, they just want to punish the blogger. Indirectly telling other bloggers to be careful we're coming for you. |
The case is not criminal, the bank CEO just want to use his money to punish the blogger. |
The Police Special Fraud Unit on Tuesday arraigned a blogger, Seun Oloketuyi, for allegedly defaming the Chief Executive Officer of Fidelity Bank, Nnamdi Okonkwo, by publishing that Okonkwo impregnated one Justina, a married woman working in the marketing department of the bank. Oloketuyi, who was arraigned on two counts of malicious defamation, was accused of further publishing that the alleged affair between Okonkwo and Justina led to Justina’s husband, Ben, sending her out. Oloketuyi was accused of publishing that Okonkwo had taken over the responsibility of Justina’s children and had sent her abroad to further her education. The police, however, said it investigated a petition written by Okonkwo, following which they found out that Oloketuyi published the story to maliciously defame Okonkwo. One of the counts in the charge, marked FHC/L/346C/15, filed by the police against the defendant read, “That you, Seun Oloketuyi, ‘m’, on or about June 2015, did knowingly or intentionally send a message and other matters by means of computer systems or network on one Nnamdi Okonkwo the Managing Director/CEO of Fidelity Bank Plc which you know to be false, for the purpose of causing him annoyance, insult and ill-will on www.naijahottestgist.com.” In count two, Oloketuyi was accused of publishing “defamatory matters” against Okonkwo “with malice” while knowing that the information was false . Prosecution counsel, Olakanmi Omisope, said the alleged offence contravenes Section 24(1)(b) of the Cybercrime (Prohibition) Act, 2015 and Section 375 of the Criminal Code Act, Cap C38. The defendant however pleaded not guilty to the charges following which his lawyer attempted to orally apply for his bail. The court however rejected the application and ordered that the defendant should be remanded pending his formal bail application. The case was adjourned till September 1, 2015 to hear the bail application. http://www.punchng.com/news/police-arraign-blogger-for-defaming-bank-ceo/ |
Sircj:Do you feel like crying? Another reminder sir, you're hooked and you ain't getting away, I smell kirikiri. |
Sircj:Boss calm down, we're not fighting, I'm only giving you a free service counseling. Well someone above advise you to petition the Lagos CP, maybe you try and see what will happpen, no need to fight. You just got hooked and you're not getting out, unless problem solve. |
Sircj:Of course you're not forced, you're tricked into meeting the complainant, and probably you want to act as a commando. Of course human heart is desperately wicked, one of the example of that is your brother. For me you and your brother sound more like a trouble makers, looking for all sorts of excuses not to pay the debt you're owning. |
I doubt if you can establish a threat case against the complainant, Because he was wise enough, instead of going with violence, he went through the right way to get his money. You're not under gun point, the police are only enforcing the law, if you had come here and say nobody is owning anybody, the guy only use his police connections to intimidate and force you, then you have a case to fight. Now you're exposing yourself more with your last statement. with your last statement, it means you're aware your brother is a serial debtor and you went ahead to broker a deal. Next time, if he is owning someone, aid that person, by giving him, useful information, or even help track him down, be very logical, don't show interest with your assistance, tell him his last location or whereabout. That will make you clear off the case. |
Sircj:Police must not be in uniform to make an arrest, they can go undercover, if they suspect their presence will put you on the run. Now let me understand you, what are you looking for? To fight police brutality? Or you feel you have been abused, so therefore the debt your brother is owning is automatically written off? Or you want to exonerate yourself, after getting involve, trying to broker a peaceful deal. For exoneration, it's almost impossible only if your brother surrender to the police. And another option is you try to help the police with useful information. That will aid your brother's arrest. Is just too late to pull out, until matter is resolve, police will continue coming for you. Goodluck |
Sircj:Sir, I'm only making my contributions, if you don't like it, you can slap me via WiFi. I never claim you are there when transaction was done, yes, I agree you only get involve after the matter was reported to your mother, probably the guy went to ur village to create a scene, which is unfriendly to you and your family. I still agree you haven't seen your brother in years, All this reasons, still won't be enough to exonerate yourself, after you try to broker a peaceful deal. With all your comment. shows you're still in contact with your brother, police are to enforce the law, and to enforce the law, they have to do couple of arrests and interrogations, with this interrogation, police will be able to make their findings. If you think I'm fooling you or supporting you, go to any good and established law firm with good reputation, you will hear their reply. Only greedy lawyers, will take advantage of you. Don't waste ur time or money, advise ur brother to pay back, so you won't have any future arrest, that could land you in kirikiri. |
Sircj:I have never supported the police for manipulation or fraud, in fact check most my of comments in nairaland, I'm always kicking against evil men in our NPF. I'm only advising you, in as much as,I hate evil police with passion, we can't hate the good ones. According to your write up, you admitted your brother collected money, but never fulfil his own part of the agreement, whatever happens, like reasons for him not to fulfil part of his job, you have to tell that to judge for evaluation. His client has lost hope in his words, and you also admitted you have fail to broker a proper deal, that's the reason he involve the police. Your brother is nowhere to be found, because he is wanted, and you know where your brother is, and refuse to produce him to the complainant, that alone makes you an accomplice, if you have told the complaint you have nothing to do with the deal bla bla, and give a useful information, like his last know address, to be trace, then you're helpful, never and accomplice. Let me put it this way, you hide your brother, and come out as a commando that nothing will happen to you, that is not you who collected the money, and try to play prank with the complainant, by brokering a false deal to help resolve the situation, indirectly you aiding your brother. So that makes you an accomplice. I'm only trying to give you insightful information, how a police force will judge it and charge you to court, even if you're innocent. I will advise you to call your brother to resolve the situation, to avoid more embarrassment. |
Brutality is bad, but I will tell you the truth, it normally happen, when you try to resist arrest. Maybe you felt the police have no right to arrest you, since you're not the main culprit, unfortunately, you could be an accomplice. BC you know your brother's where about and you try to broker peace. So that could automatically make you an accomplice. If the complaint reached out to you and in return, you told him is not your business, that will make him continue looking for only your brother. Apart from the brutality aspect, ( which could be triggered by you resisting arrest) the police are doing a correct job. If you fail to meet the undertaken you wrote, you could be charge to court for conspiracy. Meanwhile if your brother was arrested he will be charge for OBT, obtaining by trick. So try to fix the issue ASAP, because this time the police could be right. |
Well, contact the moderator, but I doubt if they will move it to front page. nairaland is been careful about police topic this days, with no reliable source, like the main media house, it won't go to front page. (My speculation) probably the founder seun has been arrested and threatening, so he is more careful. |
@ op, is good you go public. But I will advise you to find a lawyer, to write a petition and serve to Zone 2 onikan, Ogun state command, and to the IGP,and also make a copy available to punch, and other media house. If you do it this way, nairaland will now copy the news from punch and in no mins it will be in front page. It cost nothing to write petition, between 5000naira to 20,000 naira. And find DHL to dispact your letter to those offices, each dispatch cost 700 naira. Stop coming to nairaland and start begging them to make your post viral, they will be forming big head. |
