EducationFresh Hope For NOUN Law Graduates by eodavids(op):
:It has been the dream of NOUN Law graduates to be admitted to the Nigerian Law School, but the academic politics, the type playing in Nigeria has made sure the door to Nigerian Law Practice remained shut for these graduates.

Prominent players in this act of shutting the Law graduates out of Law School are:
The Council of Legal Education (CLE), and
The Attorney General of the Federation (AGF).

The above two are Federal government agency and office respectively, but they have played bad politics (academically) over time by dettering this graduates from achieving their dream of becoming Barristers and Solicitors.

It is common knowledge that many of the graduates from NOUN are more intelligent than those of conventional universities, yet this academic politics has been maintained against the former.

The good thing is: CHANGE IS CONSTANT.

The fact that 'Firdausi' and her likeminds have been cleared to graduate from Law school with their religious veils- means that change has come to that area of the Nigerian fabric.

Power concedes nothing without demand (struggle); it never did, it never will.

Up to you NANS and NOUN Law graduates. Pressurize the CLE/AGF to do the needful.

Period!

PoliticsRe: Senate Resolution: What Abiola & Kingibe, Families Will Enjoy by eodavids(m): 4:04pm On Jun 13, 2018
meezynetwork:
If Abiola can and Ginigbe can enjoy that that means that of Kogi where Audu won but wasnt sworn in cos of death, His family should also be paid for four years in as much as he was a former governor
Note the difference'

Abiola won, but the federal government of that time illegally annulled the election. When Abiola spoke and acted..., the military (then in power) seized him and detained him. ...he later died in detention.
It was a wrong done to Abiola and his supporters/Nigerians. Now, the current administration is trying to right that wrong. As the mandate Nigerians gave Abiola and his running mate were perpetually denied and none enjoyed that mandate.

On the other hand: Audu was winning the Kogi election but, before the final, he left. Thus another was chosen to complete the race and the mandate earlier given to Audu by the electorates was transfered to the later man.
Up till now, that transferred mandate has been and is still been enjoyed by the later man and mandate isn't lost.

So, the lost Abiola+Kingibe mandate is being reawakened/revived and necessary compensation being applied accordingly.

Adieza:
Salt is used to preserve life. It is called in chemistry Sodium Chloride. It is an ionic compound with the chemical formula NaCl, It contains two chemicals called Sodium and Chlorine.

These chemicals are poisonous when they are on their own. But when they are combined together they become your table salt with preserving properties which is used to preserve food and make it taste good. Now you cannot do without salt.

This is what the Jews learned from it when they read the same bible. Salt is like people. People are different and Phycologist have worked out sixteen personality types and every human been fits in one of these personality type.

Some of these personality types on their own can never get much done in life, especially in business. But combine them together with another person with another personality type then boom, both of them become a majestic business machine.

Think of Bill Gates and Paul Allen and Steve Ballman, Larry Page and Sergey Brin of Google. Apple's Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. It is a long list. In Nigeria people prefer to work alone.

The Jews realized that most things in nature on their own DON'T work well. It is when you combine them with something else that they become desirable and potent.

Take the stainless steel. It is 18% chromium and 8% nickel. that is what make your spoon looks good and shining. But an iron spoon will not work. It will rust away.

Concrete slab is made of Cement, Water, Iron weaved together. Why? without the iron you will have a very strong slap that is not flexible so it will break. Iron provides the flexibility to the concrete. It is like a relationship. Please don't marry someone like you. bad idea. You may not be able to live with yourself.

See all around you. The clothes you wear, the food you eat and your electronic devices. They are all made by combining two or more elements which on their own seems useless.

It is the combination of elements that makes human, like God. That is why the bible said God created us in his own image. Because he created us with the ability to combine things. Because we couldn't create things out of thin air he gave us all the elements we need so we can study them and combine them to create new things. Humans are still looking at how to combine more elements from the periodic table to make better products to serve humanity.

To the Jews people, He who can combine these elements to form new brilliant products that will serve humanity well are the ones that get riches. That is the secret of the Jews success. Meanwhile, most Africans are consumers. The consumer never gets rich. It is against the law of God.

It is the understanding of this concept by the Jews that make them very good scientist. You can teach your children this concept and they will be very brilliant scientist one day, better than any Jew out there. But how would you know when you were not thought. So the cycle of ignorance continues while we all wait for God.

Please go and get rich, I have given you the formula. Go and combine elements in the best possible way that will serve humanity and you will get rich. This is what most of the billionaires on earth are doing. Even the Chinese have just discovered this.

Africans have the ability to do this because they read the same bible, but most have just buried their talents and keep praying for God to help them to combine these elements to new products that will create wealth through miracle money.

Shame on all those waiting for miracle money.

SPECIAL STATUS ON ECONOMY DRIVEN BY NIGER DELTA OIL

ABI?
-Lagos stands out as the most viable state and the cosmopolitan city Nigeria prides herself with.
-The revenues generated by Lagos state, as you well know is well far above tens of States in Nigeria put together.
-The most prosperous Nigerians of all tribes, ethnic groups or regions of Nigeria all have Lagos to leverage upon. (Ask Aliko Dangote).

*Its only proper that we all unite in calling for Federal government's pronouncement on Lagos as a special and distinguished state. This will encourage and bring out the best in Lagos.

I still think May 29th is superior to June 12.I still dont see anything special about that JUNE 12
Well, to some southwesterners, their wish has been granted.
But, my view is that no benefit accrues to Yorubas but Kingibe in these awards.

If Baba Buhari wants to please the Yorubas, let him distinguish Lagos state by making it possess special status in terms of taxation, allocation and development.

This will make the southwest economically advantageous and the whole Nigeria will benefit from it.
If what Buhari has done is in this line, everyone would have given him the accolades, and it would have been obvious Yorubas are the targeted beneficiaries.

This thread is not meant to argue what is due to all the states of Nigeria, but to buttress the high point that Lagos deserves a special status and should be thus granted.

Your position regarding the Niger-deltan states notwithstanding.

So what? Do you know any road called baba kinigbe road?, airport?, univeristy? Nobody will remember Kinigbe (even as he is alive many dont know who he is) do you know how many Nigerians are GCON, how many that are alive can you list?. GCFR is only for presidents/heads of states and Buhari has ensured that even in 100 years time, for at least 1 day every year people will always remember Abiola died for our democracy for eternity. That is the significance. When you think about that you realise Kinigbe is insignificant.
Do not be myopic my man.
If it take political calculation to please southwesterners with announcement of June 12 as democracy day; don't forget that when the calculations changes, the date will move as deemed fit by those making the calculations.

If Buhari's APC meant business, they wouldn't have celebrated may 29. Can't you see that Buhari just celebrated Democracy day on may 29, only to come with this later?

If APC were sincere, they would not have celebrated may 29, rather, Buhari would have announced the shift of date for democracy day to June 12 on that may 29.

Can't you see this whole thing is an after thoughthuh

To me, Southwest Nigeria deserve better.

Let them allow Abiola rest in peace. People who were part of Abacha's regime are the announcer and the living beneficiary of this awards now, and the dead who deserve rest are been called up and down.

So the person that brought in 12 June wasn't digressing the thread? or June 12 is in connection with Lagos's special Status?
Dear, both entails the popular Yoruba agitations that they want to be met by government.

I for one have a preference for Lagos' special status, and not the awards announced yesterday which mainly benefits Kingibe as the living over the late heroes (Abiola and Gani).

My friend whoever comes in in 2019 is not going to do much for you and I, they are all the same. I dont know why you are killing yourself over this. This is not about being from the SW. Like i said heroes (even accidental ones like Abiola) and significant moments in our history must be recognised. Abiola, OBJ, IBB,Atiku, Abacha,IBB,etc etc are all from the same mother. I am not a fan of any of them, Abiola himself was a govt contractor who was killed by the same lions on whose backs he rode. Acknowledging June 12 is not about coming from the SW, it's not about Abiols the man, it's about us as a people. Yes I know this was a political calculation but sometimes even your enemy can do something right. Salvage your mind from this North south mentality and acknowledge that fior whatever reason it was done, June 12 has been acknowledged. or you would rather Obasanjo's may 29 who worked to make sure no yoruba man had any higher honour than himself?

I still do not understand your Obsession with Kinigbe.
My guy, I note your points.
But I have no obsession with Kingibe. The guy is such a lucky fellow.
Kingibe was part of Abiola's mandate, but also part Abachas regime.
Then part of Yar'adua's regime.
Now he is part of Buhari's regime.

How else can a man be lucky and cleverhuh

I ain't obsessed with Kingibe, I have opened a congratulatory thread for Kingibe earlier before this thread
