I expected Dalot to run in behind Anthony but that's not the case. Anthony need those runs to distract defenders |

delkuf: The greatest undoing of man city will be haaland. With haaland, it means pep will change the style of play. They will have to hurriedly put the ball on the box which is a good thing. But if haaland get injured, with Jesus and sterling sold, they will really struggled up front. And the defense of city is shitty. They concede goal too much. Though it is still early. Man city will struggle if they will retain the premiership. They shouldn't have let both Jesus and sterling leave like that. Pep is too desperate to win champion league The same team that have been playing together and winning the league for the majority of the last 4-5 years? Okay na |

We need to pick maximum points from the smaller teams this season to be guaranteed top 4. I'm looking forward to our next match. We need the 3 points and as many goals as possible |

Jodera: Well, to me Saka and Martinelli was better First Half with Martinelli the better of the two. 2nd half Saka was clearly better. Martinelli decision making was just wrong most times in that 2nd half Surprisingly, Dalot was able to handle Martinelli better after the break. But Malacia couldn't and that wasn't utilized at all |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by eph12(m): 2:31pm On Sep 05, 2022 |
Jodera: This is not about staying back just for the sake of it. It's about becoming positionally aware defensively in that back he stays. Someone who is meant to screen the backline should be ready to track any runners, read danger before it happens and snuff out attack before it becomes dangerous mostly by positioning and that's what he lacks. The first goal conceded, he didn't even attack yet Bruno pounced on his Defensive frailties to get in behind him into a dangerous zone. Person like Elneny or Partey would never let that happen. I think Arteta and the team underrated Manchester United. Normally you should put players on two main people, Eriksen and Bruno. That wasn't done. Just make sure you have your eyes on where they are at all times. That wasn't done |

larride: Maybe so.
Looking at the way we attack, our full back seems to tuck inside, I have seen Malacia and Dalot tuck inside when we are attacking inside of moving to the wing. Even though, he should still do something, anything |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by eph12(m): 12:14pm On Sep 05, 2022 |
larride: Sancho offered no support whatsoever and his side was overloaded. Its almost looking like a case of if Sancho is not among the goal scorers or assist, he's completely useless in the match. At least trouble your marker such that Saka or whoever is also on that wing will need to put an eye on you too. He's just not offering enough for now. He probably will when we start to dominate games |

Jodera: it's not about giving away the ball. Lokonga hardly gave away the ball ystdy sef aside for the 2nd goal which was punished.
I don't have any problem giving away the ball especially if it's not at a dangerous place. The issue I have with Lokonga was leaving him DM duties to go play attack which you guys capitalised on well. For all the ball Mctominay lost ystdy, he was never found wanting defensively This is more of an Arteta problem. Just a simple instruction from him will make Lokonga stay back. Maybe he was encouraged to add bodies to the attack. On another day, it may have worked. |

patrickmuf: Malacia was all about stopping him from cutting inside but to his credit, Saka drove in and used his right foot to cross most of the time...Once the midfield was sorted out, Saka was pocketed and his frustration was obvious...He got a yellow for it. We could have conceded from any of the many times Saka was able to beat Malacia. He needed help and he wasn't getting it until Fred and Case entered. Saka also tired out |

Tyrell Malacia's game by numbers vs. Arsenal:
51 touches 8 ball recoveries 4 duels won 3 interceptions 2 clearances 2 accurate long balls 1 tackle 1 cross 0x dribbled past
