Carrick actually knows something. I'm seeing better organization from his team from the match yesterday than I saw from Ole's for a long time. The number of times they moved the ball with quick one touch passes, even though Chelsea managed to get the ball each time eventually, but that shows he is capable of drilling his team in such a way they can move the ball without thinking. And when they mark the ball, the initiative of moving Fred further up, and getting Matic into the game with McTominay to work for him, I start to suspect Ole might be a blockhead that doesn't take advice from his staff.

I suspect Carrick will probably takeover from Ragnick or something. He's shown signs of a good coach, and I've only watched one match. Ole being here for 3 years without any clear way of playing will always be weird to me.

I don't know the Bayern you watch, but that is not what the German Bayern team does. Which successful team in recent years does not press? Name one successful in the champions league and UK.

What you refuse to understand is that matches like yesterday have to be played exactly that way, until we have a manager that can drill a football system into the team, no matter who they play against. Even under SAF, he had the common sense to drop some players in favor of some average ones because those ones could cover more ground, against some opponents. What exactly are you yapping about?

Ole tried to play a pattern by using technical players. The reason he quickly retired Valencia and co. But Ole appeared to know one pattern which had been studied by other teams during the Summer break. On his part, he didn't appear to have studied any of the other teams

Carrick seems to read the opposition style of play, looking at strengths and weaknesses. Then think about how to confront the game, and which players are right for the game.

Rashford was offside because Sancho delayed the pass. If Rashford stayed leveled, he wold have been closed down by Chelsea defenders. Watch the video from 5' mark.

Sacho can't pass unless Mendy commits. Rashford best move was to stay onside no matter what

Rashford should have been the scorer of that goal if he wasn't offside because 90% of the time , Sancho usually pass the ball to the nearest man for an easy tap into an empty net. I've seen him do it a lot of times at Dortmund. The guy na pass first kind of player even if he can go for goal himself and no one will blame him for doing so.

Thank goodness Sancho went for it by himself. When I see a lot of things happening on the pitch, the choices the players make when with and without the ball, I just know that this will be the biggest challenge for any new coach they bring in
