Buying players to fit only one system is the beginning failure. This transfer window, we should be technical players that can play in a 4-3-3 or 3-4-3 and on whatever wing the manager needs them.

Madrid will probably only sign Trent and their version of the 3-4-3 will work 100 times better than our own.

We dont have a striker and goalkeeper. Nobody in midfield that can orchestrate play expcept Bruno who on a decent day, is a terrorist with the ball. The fullbacks who are the the most important piece of a 3-4-3 are incompetent 98% of the time.

I do management in I.T and when a greenfield project is undertaking, the choice of tools to use is typically not determined by how cheap or effective the tools are but by how easy it is to hire personnel that can work with said tools.

Hiring and firing players for Amorim‘s system is going to be a nightmare. At our scale, every negotiation we do involves clubs trying to steal the elastic off our boxers so we should be double careful when buying players and the margin for error signing niche players that understand how to play a 3 ATB system is considerably lesser

Forget niche and sign quality, technical, and strong players first. Where we have the most problems is attack. Solve that one first

If we know what’s good for us, let’s thank Amorim for his services and bid him farewell. I’ve never been more sure of a manager failing with us and his failure will not be an indictment of his managerial abilities but a stark reminder of our poor transition management when choosing managers.

Bluntly put, we don’t have the type of finance that can make Amorim ball a success. All that pie-in-the-sky dreams of signing 6 players will not happen with penny -pinching owners that cut meal coupons for staff.

For a proper example of a club that knows how to prepare for a system transition, look at Madrid. To set Alonso up for success, they have signed Trent, Dean Huijsen and will shortly sign Alvaro Fernandez and Ben Stiller in addition to having other positions well stocked with world class players. We can’t do the same, so we best find a manager that can make the most out of the wretches we have and then we gradually up the quality of players while phasing out deadwood

I understand all that but at this point, the players themselves know it is just one game left that will determine if the season is a complete disaster or not hence they're all focused on that game and won't want to miss it, so I have made peace with myself that we might lose all our remaining games in the EPL.

This season is done. The only important game remaining is the Europa League final. I could care less if we win the remaining games in the PL or not. There's absolutely nothing to play for on the league anymore. Win or lose the remaining PL games doesn't really matter to me. I just need the team to win the Europa League, qualify for UCL and the club can do whatever revamp they want to do whether buy players, sack the coach or whatever.

As a top club, wether it's a friendly or a final, you should want to win all. That's the mentality you should take everywhere, doesn't matter who you're playing against or the competition. Losing should not be an option. Granted that some matches will be lost but you leave the field without any doubt that you gave all. That is where we need to be

Nothing is going to improve in the remaining games in the league. The players have mentally checked out, those that have mentally checked out will be cautious so as not to avoid injury so they can play the final.

This season is gone since and these PL results means nothing to me tbh. Make them just win the final and move on from there.

The results should mean something o. Not just the result, but also how they played. Amorim has taken too long to make some critical changes. It's almost as if he has given up. Amorim is like the 4th or 5th coach since Mourinho. Hiring and firing without signing the best players will only make top coaches avoid us. We will be left with washed coaches and coaches just starting their career.

There is no winning the final and moving on. The next game could be a loss with some terrible play, against a club below average. It does not solve anything
