For No2 you agree his first touch is poor and you agree he has to improve but you have an excuse for him that it is because he wants to move the ball forward.

For No3 you also agree that it is true he gets dribbled too easily but you have another excuse that “he more than makes up for it”. How he more than makes up for it you haven’t told us.

For No4 you also agree that his shooting is poor but this time you have prepared another factory-fitted excuse which is that shooting is not a virtue.
If shooting well is not a virtue is it shooting over the bar that is now a virtue?

In summary you agree that he is crap as a CDM (no1).
You agree his first touch is poor (No2).

You agree that he gets dribbled easily (No3).

You agree he can’t shoot (No4).

If you agree with us on almost all the points made why do you seem so embittered when someone criticises Fred here?

Forget panther7. Here is my list. Let’s tackle it point by point

1) Difficulty receiving the ball on the half turn from CBs especially under pressure (key requirement of a CDM).

2) Inconsistent first touch

3) Rushing into challenges and gets dribbled past a bit too easily at times

4) Poor shooting ability.

Using stats to judge a player's passing abilities is wrong, Data/Stats can be biased, if Fred makes 35 out of 35 passes in a match stats won't show you how many of them were sloppy passes.
I have said it before Fred passes the ball in a way that put his teammates under pressure either by over hitting or under hitting the pass but if it gets to his teammates Data will count it as completed pass.

From stats Fred is the best passer of the ball but from eye view he is not. With all the data can you say Fred is the best passer in the team? Obviously not.

Fred has never been a 6 and does not play as a 6 for Brazil. He is at his best as an 8 however we have Pogba who is a far better 8 than him, hence Fred should be a squad player for us NOT a starter. That is the koko.

I saw a stat last season; Fred has taken 54 shots and only 7 was on target. If Fred is balling in the Copa America the question is against who?
I don't have any agenda against Fred but he is not just good enough.

We are being vindicated. The problem we have is some fans over analyse football. We all see Fred work rate and his tendency for forward play. I remember when people blamed him for losing possession quickly, mostly with his second touch, I said it is because his mind is to go forward as quickly as possible. No matter how the space is tight, Fred wants to take the ball forward. This is his first taught.

Let me make a small confession here. Till today I have not watched the penalty shootout against Villarreal. Immediately it got to penalties I stood up and started preparing for work. I was CERTAIN that with DDG in goal we were going to lose.

See!! I am a fan of FC Barcelona but i am a lover of good football and great footballers irrespective of the club they play for.
While it's good for Manchester United to buy players with big money, i think they are derailing from what makes a club a great club.
Manchester United or perhaps the coach do not see the beauty of Pogba and what he can give to the club.
I watched the Euros and i can tell you in full audacity that Paul Pogba was the best player in France, even mbappe don't even come close at all.
Pogba is a midfield genius, Pogba in France reminds me of Pirlo and Paul Scholes.
I think Manchester United lack the proper coach because If a man like Guardiola handles Pogba and rashford, i am sure both of them will be contenders for Balon d or.
This current coach of Manchester United can't successfully utilise the players he is got and this new player the club bought won't make a difference.
Pogba should be the one taken all the penalties and free kicks, if Manchester United is build around Paul Pogba, the club will excel.

Pogba is good, he just needs a coach that will put the burden of the club on his shoulder, more like what Juventus is to Ronaldo, Messi is to Barca and Neymar is to PSG.
Manchester United need to make Pogba the face of the club and bring in a coach that will install confident in him and with the help of young players like Rashford.
Manchester United will excel and by the way, instead of splashing 70 million pounds on this latest signing, why not sack the coach, bring in Zidane and bring Ramos to Manchester United?
