Fred's position/role in both teams is different so bringing up his Brazil performances to try and defend his United ones is just ridiculous.

Actually his performance for Brazil only bolsters the opinion that we need a proper CDM while Fred can go and compete for CM with Pogba and VDB.

What truth? I have said this many times that Fred is not a DM or CDM. But when you say Fred is crap, then you should as well say the whole team is crap because he's a top 5 performer. I don't expect you to agree though.

One thing happens in a match and it becomes every time to you. He gets dribbled more than necessary, that's the only part I agree with. But then, who is perfect? Bruno, Pogba?

1) Difficulty receiving the ball on the half turn from CBs especially under pressure (key requirement of a CDM).

2) Inconsistent first touch

3) Rushing into challenges and gets dribbled past a bit too easily at times

4) Poor shooting ability.

1. Fred is never a CDM. He wasn't yesterday, he's not today, he won't be tomorrow.

2. He needs to be calmer on the ball. His inconsistent first touch is because he wants to get the ball moving.

3. This is the most obvious for me. He more than makes up for it if we're being honest. I understand honesty is not the best policy here

4. Well shooting is not even a virtue anymore. Let's work the ball into the box sir

Using stats to judge a player's passing abilities is wrong, Data/Stats can be biased, if Fred makes 35 out of 35 passes in a match stats won't show you how many of them were sloppy passes.
I have said it before Fred passes the ball in a way that put his teammates under pressure either by over hitting or under hitting the pass but if it gets to his teammates Data will count it as completed pass.

From stats Fred is the best passer of the ball but from eye view he is not. With all the data can you say Fred is the best passer in the team? Obviously not.

So it's eye view now? Whose eye view? Anyways good luck with this eye view

Fred has never been a 6 and does not play as a 6 for Brazil. He is at his best as an 8 however we have Pogba who is a far better 8 than him, hence Fred should be a squad player for us NOT a starter. That is the koko.

That alone is enough to cancel every other thing. If he agrees that he made a mistake there, we can move on to the next point

I saw a stat last season; Fred has taken 54 shots and only 7 was on target. If Fred is balling in the Copa America the question is against who?
I don't have any agenda against Fred but he is not just good enough.

Poor passing ability for someone that has one of the best passing stats in the team? It's either the whole team get poor passing ability or you don't know anything about football. Which one is it?

We are being vindicated. The problem we have is some fans over analyse football. We all see Fred work rate and his tendency for forward play. I remember when people blamed him for losing possession quickly, mostly with his second touch, I said it is because his mind is to go forward as quickly as possible. No matter how the space is tight, Fred wants to take the ball forward. This is his first taught.

Fred has a couple of flaws. Passing backwards was never one. I wonder where people got that from
