The area between Good coaching and Individual brilliance is a very big one. It's quite hard to definitively quantify which is responsible for a win. Sadly a lot of fans and analysts alike are not sophisticated enough to understand this fact. In the case of Nagielsmann for example, some of our people go argue say oh Nagielsmann turned some average players to stars. What nonsense, he no be one dey upcoming player dey become star(whichever level of stardom)? For you people because the player was relatively unknown, Nagielsmann na him turn them to star. As far as i am concerned it's very difficult to tell. For some only those in the class of good can manage manchester united. The trial in Sir Alex that brought us this worldwide fame and status is only possible in the 20th century according to some. The argument i'll give you if you bring up the fact that Sir Alex had a good resume before his appointment at manchester. But i suppose leading Molde to their first league title counts as something, although not as great as winning the European winner's Cup.His stint at Cardiff definitely casts doubts on his managerial ability. But knowing how this stuffs work any combination of things could have lead to that failure, his coaching inclusive. I do not know which contributes the most. If you ask most of the people here, all they would tell you is that Cardiff was relegated. They do not know how that happened, that is if at all his coaching was most responsible for it. I am not surprised by that. Our thoughts are usually very shallow. Besides Sir Alex was occasionally spending money to keep the overall quality of his squad high, including buying defenders at record fees and ofcourse some will bring up 2013. But if you check that squad well you would realize that squad wasn't really lacking in quality in comparison to the other title contenders in the league. When has Guardiola ever won without a squad on the high in terms of "quality", whatever that means? Although i believe some do not consider him a good coach. cheesy. In the end people will judge you by the number of titles you won unless you revolutionized the way the game is played. All in all Ole has to choose between 2 options. Get fired or continue succeeding and disappoint his haters. cheesy grin. I think he'll prefer the latter but given his history, you never know. He may just bottle it. I hope he doesn't.
Bro this is all over the place na

Truth is who wan node ball enter net. Our present strikers are not even really known for scoring with headers.

The one wey Martial do against villa surprise me sef. I was just glad seeing the ball enter net grin
Martial has scored some pretty headers though. His headers are not bad, he only needs to make up his mind to be in the box and contest for the balls when the crosses come in

Cross and insha allah is not good but we should still be able to do a bit better. A ball across the 6 yrd box is more difficult to defend than an eye of the needle through pass.
I miss those low crosses across the face of the goal, especially when we have attackers arriving at the near post at the right time. But I think only Cavani and maybe Greenwood have that movement

But if like you said the coach doesn't encourage crossing, it could also be a reason the likes of Telles have not been crossing as expected. Thereby making us 18th in crossing like doc said.
Yes that's what I said. For some reason, crossing is not an option if the players can pass backwards grin

Maybe it's because Ole doesn't trust his strikers to get into positions or that they'll prefer to receive the ball on their feet instead of rushing into the box to contest headers. They only do that if it's a counter I think

Yea. People have realised now. And to think Shaw has the ability to be playing crosses too and he doesn't do it means, he's playing to instruction and Ole is not a fan of Cross and Insha Allah.

It's now becoming clear that Telles was brought in due to Shaw's penchant for getting injured always and doesn't want to revert to an inexperienced Williams as a back up like last season, and not necessarily because he wants Telles due to his crossing ability
There's no evidence in our game to show that crossing is an option. I believe the team will work on this and get better with it. But I don't want us to be the cross merchant lfc and cfc is. God forbid

We are 18th in crosses in the league. Just too poor. We are not utilizing our FBs appropriately. With a player like Cavani in our squad we need to do more in that regards.
I remember when Telles came and people said he would be crossing. Well it didn't take more than 2 matches for him to revert to the default setting of the team. Ole does not encourage crossing unless there's no other way. He prefers the attacking the ball through the middle and that's what the team is about

City have a blunt attack with Aguero not always available so they're going to drop points often especially against teams that defend deep.

Their defense has improved massively though...And yes, a draw will be the best result...
Yeah a draw is the best outcome

I have not forgotten anything. Just like it was then, you don't have any proof that Ole doesn't bark instructions from the touchline when we are winning and he only does when we are losing. If you have, show us.

Below is Ole giving instructions during moments we were winning in games this season.
Or wait do you expect him to stand on the touchline for 90mins? Is that it?
Your wahala too much. I'm not even sure you dey read my posts

We could have managed to limit the damage in the first half and turned it around in the 2nd half like we always do if we had all our 11 players.
We didn't turn shit around in the second half against Leipzig with full 11. What makes you think we will turn it around against Tottenham, another top team? By the way, all those turning around happened away and not at old Trafford, remember?

Lol. You have no proof of this but carry on.
It's not like SAF wasn't glued to his seat chewing gum like he always does when we lost 6-1 to City.

Anyways Ole shares in all our concerns.

Na make we beg our boys and ur MCMs to stop throwing away chances like they always do.
Nah you were fully around when we had this episode back then. I see you've decided to have some selective amnesia.

Once again, for me it isn't always about the result but how we get there. There are flags one can see and know if the team is going to be contesting for anything in the nearest future or experience some dominance.

It was a 2-1 lead that we would still have turned around till some people's MCM decided to sell match.

This is Ole giving instructions from his seat against Spurs despite chopping 6-1.
Must ve been some Porn.
Of course after his side had started packing in the goals. When the team is not playing as expected, he wouldn't get up. It's either when team is losing or in the second half he goes to the touchline. Once again, it's not about the result but trying to prevent some disaster instead of waiting for it to happen first before reacting.

And this picture doesn't disprove my point

I have never argued with anyone about his poor use of subs and i've spoke about that several times here.

But the pics below from games early last year proves Ole never used to stand up from his seat...
So you're saying Ole wasn't watching porn on his ipad during the first half in the early stage of this season? grin grin

There's a reason why we said Ole was a reactionary coach. His team played badly in the first half and he has nothing to say about it until half time. He gets more active in the second half. This is a fact as at that time. I'm not speaking for last season or now, I'm very particular about early this season when we were playing badly.

Be like say we go need dedicated Ole camera wey go dey show Ole for the bottom of screen when games are ongoing.
Ole wasn't doing that as at the time this was an issue and you know that. He wouldn't even make any changes until 78-80+ minutes. You were here when all this was happening and you defended him na. Why you dey disguise lol? In fact some even said maybe Ole dey visit this thread as he started doing those things we complained he wasn't doing. I know you won't deny this

U be correct guy o. So i no know why u wan dey disguise lately. grin grin

Sebi u always expect Ole to stand up from his seat and telepathically give his players sense whenever they are playing rubbish?
Why Bielsa no do that one today? Abi is it only Ole that must be rolling on the ground before his players can play well? cheesy cheesy
I no dey disguise. I don't blame the coach when Pogba or Fred gives a wrong pass or lose the ball or when Maguire brainfarts. I blame the coach for the poor intensity with which the players start or attack the ball. I know the part of the game that the coach has control over and the ones he can do absolutely nothing about. If the team is playing poorly with a lot of lose passes, lack of runners, not winning second balls etc, I expect the coach to get on his feet and Express his displeasure. Coaches with much better players do this, why is this not acceptable when it comes to Ole? Why is this a problem when we demand this from Ole? Klopp, Pep, Ancelotti, SAF with their better players won't go cross leg on the stand. They will still be on their feet trying to influence the game. These are coaches that should be relaxing with their best players in world on the pitch right? It doesn't even guarantee a win but it goes a long way or you think great men like SAF just wanted to jump and bark instructions on the touchline for fun or doctor's order? Haba na

No that's not it. If that's it, they'll call out the players for the errors. Why would anyone want to talk bad against a pattern of play that dominates and create chances?

It's funny that they didn't bring up all this talk after Leeds played Manchester City or when they played against Liverpool but immediately we beat them, they have turned rubbish...

Couple of days ago, Leeds tore West Brom apart but then 5 vs 0 is nothing...

The Aston Villa that looks good now didn't even fare as well as Leeds when they returned to the EPL last season...They're doing quite well considering they just got promoted. It doesn't cost anything to praise them for it.
