Why won't there be mass failures when nobody cares about education anymore. When growing up we were told that doing very well in education is important to be successful, but that has proven to be a lie.

Then look at all the activities promoting sex, drugs, singing, sports etc, and very few ones promoting education. How do we educate these younger ones to study. What's the evidence that if they study, they will be successful.

Winners of BBN have travelled the whole country, meeting with governors, senators I and other very important people. How many scholars have been giving such privilege? smh

Your previous comment already shows that Jose did better than Pep last season for winning a trophy that determines the best leagues.

Barca and Madrid are lucky to have Messi and Ronaldo and not the other way round. Their presence makes their teams stronger than others, nobody can deny that. So we all are just chilling until both players are not there anymore and then we will see how far.

To the objective critiques I appreciate your time and effort.
Well technically the wedding is up to us, I just kind of made that statement to see if she would give any kind of reference to my preference on how I wanted the wedding to be which obviously it appears she couldnt be bothered what I wanted of preferred.

The concern for me now is , is this lack of concern for my preference one off or pervasive? Is it a manifestation of a deep character flaw?
I grew up with the understanding that wives should pander to their husbands preferences. You know in this situation, a compromise of some sort would have been very pacifying but the apparent volte face and lack of concern or even regard for my preference looks like a sign of a deep character flaw.

In addition, I am not really a fan of women who are vocal. I always believed as africans our wives must learn stay in thier place and value the uniqueness of that position. Its a very delicate and tricky concept to understand so I am not surprised by the vitriol I am getting from a few ignorant posters.

I do hope someone can comprehend the deep things I am not sure I have been able to properly communicate ...

You have to understand that times are changing. Kids nowadays are not handled the way they were handled back then. Same thing goes for wives, husbands and relationships in general. Respect is not demanded, it's earned. If you are doing everything to earn her respect and she's not yielding, please let her go. As long as you are sure you are considerate.

You have to test her in different ways to be sure it's a one off. Don't make your decisions based on this only. Be patient bro

I don't think he's a gold digger, we both work hard for what we have and that has never been an issue. I just wonder how he has his grandfathers name (paternal not maternal) and a business that I didnt know about. He has no property that I'm aware of until his fathers passing recently but he doesnt have documents for his fathers properties yet. No documents until he got the ID card just before we married.

It's very possible and easy to change your whole name. I have seen a lot of people using surname different from their family. I even have an uncle whose surname is okonofua but his kids use his own name which is Julius as surname. It's nothing, not enough reason to suspect anything.

About the business, would you have agreed to it if he told you about it?
