Rashford and Sancho are quite poor when it comes to defensive cover. Sancho is exceptionally poor. Antonia Mr. One leg covers up pretty nicely for his full back but his offensive contribution is an eyesore.

Forget Martial. Forget Weghorst. Forget Elanga.

I’ll give Garnacho a pass because he’s fresh and young. But he looks like a player that won’t have those problems.

Bruno is above average when it comes to BOTH offense and defense, given his role. You can say the same thing for Casemiro.

We need ALL our attackers to be AT LEAST above average in attack and defense. AT LEAST. THE BARE MINIMUM.

If we have this, scoring goals won’t be as hard as it has been and our defensive record will improve too. We’ll only need 1-2 players to be exceptional in order to win games.

ETH needs to pray. The investment the first team need is not less than 300m and it must be spent wisely

If you look at the overall defense you will understand this. Same with the team… er, squad. We need a top performing forward line, defense, midfield, - and bench, to get to city’s level. After all, that’s what City already has and are improving on.

But you must also agree that our attackers do the bare minimum or even below the bare minimum when not with the ball. Nobody contests for 50-50 balls anymore. If City players were like that, they wouldn't score that first goal.

I agree with you that his distribution is a problem. But that is not even my major problem with him. His errors are beginning to pile up, that's my major concern with him.

We need a good GK who has a decent distribution. We also need forwards who will keep up the intensity and won’t miss clear cut chances. Those two needs are not mutually exclusive.

I don’t know about others but if I call for a new GK better at passing, cross claiming and other attributes, it doesn’t mean that I don’t want us to have attackers who can play with intensity.

I agree those two needs are not mutually exclusive. Thank God you see that there's some truth when we say DDG is not responsible for the intensity or lack of intensity our forwards exhibit on the field.

Another interesting thing I was thinking about the other day was that this DDG thing really became an issue when we lost Lisandro and Varane partnership.

In case you want to misconstrue this again, asking our outfield players to do better does not mean DDG is exonerated but for reason you always want to see it that way.

The Glazers are not in charge of player negotiation. Speaking about the slow pace of our transfer activity is not the same as confronting the CEO. There are subtle comments one can make here and there and those in charge of that activity will get it. There are people employed to manage our transfer activities
