Apparently a ball passing goal keeper is the most important player in a team that wants to keep possession. The confusing part is that we just signed a midfielder that does not exactly help keep possession. Confusion everywhere

You don't even have a keeper

Grealish was very important for that City side last season. He didn't lose the ball too often unless fouled. He may not have exciting goal returns but he was a very important play in that treble winning side. The worst part is that he can only get better unless he suffers some serious injury. Even without the ball, he was always closing down spaces and tracking back to intercept/defend.

lol I dey drag players o just that I recognize the fact that some of these players don't fit together as a team, are less motivated or just too comfortable/lack ambition. The root cause is the way we dish out salaries and coaches not bringing out the dryer. Some excesses need to be handled with iron hands.

My biggest DDG issue is not possession football. Its the fact he is not commanding at all. He doesnt command his box and is usually rooted to his line. He's not great at claiming crosses. All of these put Courtois way ahead of DDG. Onana is also very commanding. In fact there are lots of keepers who are commanding in europe. DDG is not one of them.

Plus he's making one too many mistakes these days. Conceding goals he shouldn't be conceding

Whether he can pass or not is far secondary for me

Summarily, I think you have a point just the same way those who blame the board have a strong argument.

Same thing some of us have been saying. But for some reason to some people here, asking the manager to make demands is the same thing as absolving the owners of any blame. The job will leave ETH drained and full of self doubt if he does not make some hard decisions now.
