It is not our differences that divide us. It is our
inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate that Lagos state belongs to YORUBA peeeps......plz brothers come back home and invest
You have spoken well, but I don't totally concur. In my opinion, I think politicians especially PDP was the root of this problem. Differences have been existing, but it has not grown up to this stage since I was born.

PDP in Lagos wanted to take advantage of ethnicity in other to score cheap political points by taking Akiolu out of context. This was rigorously followed by media propaganda and hatred campaign, which some gullible ibos fell for: only a few maintain their stands that it was all a joke.

The consequential effect of this was that PDP were able to gain sympathy of Ibos, which was not all what they needed to win gubernatorial election.

Here are we today.

Who tell you that they are not poisonous? The only thing special about it is that you can hardly provoke it because until you touch its tail, it will never be provoked.

Mysteriously, the said tip of the tail will still be kept intact(inside the soil) to prevent any infringement. Unless it has spiritual backing, it hardly bites.

It is not about being a priest: it is about common knowledge. From experience, that is the most peace-loving snake living on earth, though still among the most dangerous. The only thing you can do to provoke that snake is touching its tale, if you manage to touch its head, you don become friends walahi.

Your fiancè is probably suffering from erectile dysfunction.

So his dick can't rise except a blöw job is given to him.

But in my opinion blõw job is a part of fore play before sex and besides that's the only aspect a man can enjoy in fore play before sex. While you women enjoy getting sucked and licked and fingéred and all other sorts of stuff.

You can't tell me your fìance doesn't return the favour to you too.

I honestly see no reason why you should be worried. It's part of sex.

On the other hand I think your fiancè should see a medical practitioner for help to solve the problem of erectile dysfunction. Drugs could be prescribed for him.

I hope this helps. undecided
The guy should stop self-servicing, simple. If he is not self-servicing, eating much chocolates would be of help.

The question is not whether he destroy shops or not, the question is - is he turning those places to his personal properties or to promote infrastructural development? The problem of we Nigerians is that we like good thing, but we are not ready to pay the price.

I remember when Fashola started, this was the way people started complaining. But the reason becomes evident now with the immeasurable hold up in every nook and cranny of Lagos despite banning roadside marketing. https://www.nairaland.com/1212246/fashola-destroys-slums-lagos-leaving

Your friend is out of his mind, a man of his calibal without a wife is incomplete and not wise, means he is very stingy cos he wants his wife to struggle too to support the marriage.
I don't totally blame him for that; what if he loose his job all of a sudden? A guy like you know that with the current situation in Nigeria, one can hardly get job in less than three months if he looses it. Wife, no work: husband, no work. Poverty don start gaining ground again be that.

Marriage is a collaborative effort not unilateral.

Dear Op, i would advise you as a real man who has enormous experience in this life to
marry now.

From ur explanation, ur income of N115k is fair enough to start a good family.
Even age is against you. man suppose to marry at age of 25 years to be able
cater for his children while in ur youth age, not when u re 60years and retired
from service, your children are still in sec schools. your death is near.

But if you married now at 32 years of age which is a bit late by 7 years, have number
of children u can raise, with this pay and good planning the sky is ur limit.

For your wife, whether ur wife is working or not, what matters is good and understanding
wife. who is diligent and conscientious in all her actions.

i wish u good lucks
In consideration of the fact that he is living in Lagos where a mini-flat is 250 per year, do you think he will be able to sustain it with the payment of 500 for two years plus the agreement and commission of 100k? Well Mr OP,you are a very ambitions man..Everything you have achieved within two years shows that you are a very prudent manager of resources.I know people who earns more than that and yet nothing to show for it except booze and clubbing..Now take a leap of faith, you can actually settle down (depending on the kind of woman u want to marry),if she's understanding, prudent and hardworking/smart.I'm glad u love her,you actually need alot of that to overlook alot of her shortcomings..Even if you wait till 40 years,u might not even have up to a million naira in ur acct..From experience, alot of people who married late usually regret they do,imagine a 60 years old man still having kids writing junior waec..What about the uncertainty, you think Nig will be better tomorrow,FORGET IT!
Have a strategic plan of one year, frm your 115k per month u can save another 800k if marriage is WHAT YOU WANT!By feb next year, get an apartment (you DONT need a two-bedroom flat, the other room will be empty nd ure indirectly inviting squatters which u dont need for now.Go for a mini flat, its just you and your wifey and even with a baby you're still good to go).By july next year, settle down..Just Plan, time wait for no one...You might never be Dangote!GEJ said something during his sentforth party from aso-rock and i quote "Those happy people you see out there are not necessarily the richest"..most importantly, talk to God,he will direct your steps...#Peace #TeamExperience

I can understand his point of view since his ambitions are being actualized in order of priority

115K per month would easily become peanut when 1 becomes 2, 3 etc.

You always have to plan your life to suit your ambition in order to be successful

If financial stability and freedom is his number one goal then surely, marriage ain't going to add kobo to it.
You mean he should be 35 before getting married? From the look of thing, her mother is not helping the matter. The worst part of it is that anytime the guy refused to pick her call, my line is the next, only for her to be putting pressure on me to convince her son to get married. At 32 years he does not have an accommodation of his own but has N600k in his account, perhaps to pursue his career. Right now he is either squatting with friends or living with parents/relatives who provide for his wants and needs. Maturity shows responsibility. Ability to pay your bills. Sometimes lending a hand to younger ones or extended family. This automatically prepares us to the demands of building our own homes.

If he's a guy with the sole responsibilities to his survival, N600k is nothing after 30 calendars get another pay check. Marriage at this stage will compound his problem. Let him be. You don't take a horse to the river and forces it to drink. Your advice will mean nothing if he has the conviction that he is not ready.
Right now, he is staying at mini-flat with one of his school mates: whether they joined money together or not to pay rent, that is what I don't know. although his current salary is 115k or more, but one of the things that baffles me much is that he always claim he can't use his hard-earned money to settle for any relationship at this time: he said he prefer to leave a better children behind to the world when he is gone than leaving a better world for his children when he is gone.

BTW, Op, this is you, not any friend. If it's not you directly, then you are in the same predicament with the original writer. That makes this thread C&P.

Marriage is a mean to an end, not all there is in life. Marriage is not fulfillment and happiness. These are choices that are within us.

For a dude who work hard to save N600k without accommodation (privacy) of his own, then the dude is immature and the thought of marriage is a misplaced priority. The picture you painted approves that you are still living under your parents and are confined to whims and caprices of parenting.

Leave marriage for now and concentrate on your career until you are of mature age to marriage.
So at 32, he is not ripe for marriage in your own thinking? If you know how many calls I receive from his parents especially his mother per week you wont be saying this.

However, if I am the one and I post it online, will I be crucified? I will never hesitate to post anything bothering my mind online because nobody knows my username except from me.

I am here to source for better way of advising the guy: he is older than me and I believe he is ripe for marriage. From previous comments, I have even seen two nairalanders who claimed they are in the same shoe personally.

You can drop better suggestion if you have any.
