Mayb and mayb not, we should be happy for them sha.. you knw it's really hard to choose 10,000 by merit considering the hundreds of thousands that applied.
I'm curious, why do you think it's hard to choose that number by merit?

When will Nairaland Mods have respect for grammar, how can a person 'storm' a place? It takes numbers to 'storm,' Okay?

Geez, Seun needs better editors.

Anyway, check my signature.
That is what happens when a mindset is still very "localized" despite the fact that the world is now a global place.
PoliticsRe: Ima Niboro Dumps PDP For APC by ephi123(f): 4:31pm On Dec 06, 2016
Crooks joining their fellow crooks. I pity anyone that thinks there is a difference between APC and PDP - they are all the same bunch of thieves who only have the interests of their personal pockets at heart.
PoliticsRe: Corrupt Elements Obfuscating Fg's Good Work - Lai Mohammed by ephi123(f): 12:42pm On Dec 06, 2016
Thisis2raw:
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has said corrupt elements are doing everything possible to obfuscate the good work of the present administration, as a response to the government’s determined fight against corruption.
Good work indeed.

If this government's "good work" is producing the level of suffering people are experiencing right now then I wonder what their "bad work" would be like. Foolish leaders. Nothing upstairs. Nothing to offer.
PoliticsRe: Who Says The North Is Feeding Fat On Nigeria? by ephi123(f): 12:41pm On Dec 06, 2016
It is very simple. The Northern states should start pulling their weight and contribute their own quota to the nation's coffers. It's a shared pot afterall so every one should put in, not just take out.

This needs to start first of all with educating their masses, there is no way a region can ever develop with low levels of literacy. Education should not be for the elite, a select few, but for all. There is no point having a huge population which is undeveloped, infact, that becomes a problem.

His policies are just too stringent . What is the ratio of our own manufactured vehicle compare to import . What is the capacity of innoson vehicle ? At least before u ban ur production must be at the optimum, or u create import substitution. Make the economy conducive for investors to put their money down , make sure infrastructure are in place , optimum energy , tax holiday and we shall be call a beautiful country . How many of our vessels are in operation in other countries, same with our aviation.? The country is just up side down . And duty rate of vehicle coming in is about 35%. Where are the money going into . The Nigeria custom, revenue alone enough to feed the whole , same with FiRS . We should be the one lending other countries loan , and not we begging for loan if we gets our acts Together . There is so much waste in the system. What a country ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Thank you. These are the sensible logical questions that people should be asking rather than giving a blanket defence of "it will help local production".

Local production in a country where constant electricity is still a struggle huh What a joke.

“- Buhari’s government increased petrol price from N87 to N145 per litre,
- kerosene; diesel and gas price was increased,
- electricity tariff was increased,
- N50 stamp duty was imposed on bank customers,
- N65 levy was imposed on every withdrawal on ATM,
- various bank charges introduced,
- custom duties increased
- and now workers’ PAYE tax has been increased.
Undisputed facts. Not forgetting the many companies that have folded up, those that have sacked staff, and also inflation at 17% +

Government of increase cheesy But to increase/improve standard of living, nah, that one is not on their list. It is only to increase the people's sufferings.

PoliticsRe: Adamu Seeks Waiver For Islamic Board: CAN, Labour, Rights Activist Kick by ephi123(f): 11:59am On Dec 05, 2016
DIKEnaWAR:
I am no longer asking for fiscal federalism again. I am asking for a confederacy!(since they say we are better together) Let the north continue with their religious affairs which puts food on their table.

As for me and my people, we want advancement in science, technology, agriculture, health care, economics and business. We want to run a country like it is done in the 21st century. We want to compete with other 21st century countries. We don't want to be held down anymore by a people who are not ready to develop.

This is the same way they smuggled sponsorship of pilgrimage into our system and compensated the corrupt christins among us with same, to keep quiet. We keep wasting scarce resources on that alone. They have abandoned the almajiri schools built by GEJ, to drag us down again. People who are still practising nomadic farming with the attendant killings by the nomads. Yet we can't stop it!

Nigeria is not developed because northerners have been most of our heads of government. The few times southerners occupied that position, this country moved forward a bit. Do a honest appraisal and you'll discorer the truth, unless you are still shouting sai baba on a half rotten by hunger stomach.
With all the resources at the disposal of this country, it is still a wonder why we are yet to grow. The answer as you have correctly pointed out is because we have constantly been led by people with very retrogressive ideas.

The North boasts about having been in power, but the real question is what progress has been achieved by their being in power? What is the use of being in power when there is no development.

Why are many Northern kids still uneducated in this 21st century, with the exception of a very few whose parents belong to the power blocs?

They keep trying to pull this country backwards to the stone age, and we reject it!!!
