Lol. Your write up is funny but true. Although when it comes to dealing with the Nigerian government, some things just have to be nipped in the bud. Like when Jonathan told us he had removed petroleum subsidy in 2012 and we endured, only to find out again in 2015 that Buhari is removing subsidy again. (Which one did they remove before?) And we are hearing now that the same subsidy ( a cat with nine lives) may be removed yet again soon.
So if we are not careful, we may end up studying both Arabic language and Islamic religion through the backdoor, before they start compelling us to recite part of the Quran at government events after the National Anthem.
Like when Seun forces us to declare that we pledge our allegiance to Islam and Allah anytime we want to comment on certain threads on Nairaland...

All I am saying is, let us decide for ourselves what we want to study, not under government duress.

That's their plan. Underhanded tactics. Nonsense.

All of you who attend Redeemed church and voted this despot into power because you believed in "the VP will be our member" ARE NOT EXEMPTED you people will not only learn and understand the Arabic but MUST also wear hijab and the men jumping trouser and goatee

Sincerely I don't know how the G.O. did not see beyond the election when he was being coerced into all this.

I hope they are all seeing it now. VP obviously is a puppet acting president with no influence or power.

As for the jumping trouser and goatee, please have mercy on them abeg, lmao grin

PapaBrowne:
The thing tire me oh.

To understand the motive behind this new curriculum, simply ask yourself these questions:

How many French teachers are there in Nigeria for the over 30 million Nigerian students. The answer is zero.

How many Arabic teachers are there for the over 30 million Nigerian students. The answer is that in every mosque in Nigeria, the Imam is an Arabic scholar. Meaning there is more than enough Arabic teachers most of whom would be Imams.

Since either French or Arabic is compulsory and there are no French Teachers but numerous Arabic teachers, all Christian students would be left no choice but take Arabic classes from an Imam who will teach them lots of lessons about Mohammed and the religion of peace!

That exactly is their planned strategy which is surely doomed to failure.

Any religion that wants to expand should do the hard work of proving to people why they should be converted, rather than this shady disgusting underhanded ploy they are trying to cook up.

Rubbish.

The Federal Government has no right to force any Nigerian student at any level to study Arabic Studies.

Eod.

Whether it is a language or a religion or whatever as the proponents of this nonsense will be quick to say, we do NOT care.
The point is no student should be obligated to take the subject.

Romance / Re: Nigerian Men Need To Understand That Some Women Have Financial Standards. by ephi123(f): 2:26pm On Jul 02, 2017
Omoluabi16:
lol. let's hear what you think?

I initially thought I understood the point she was trying to make in terms of an ambitious girl would be more in line with an ambitious guy even if he's not there yet, but that wasn't her point. Only a foolish person will correlate being broke with bad luck or lack of education/intelligence.

What most guys don't realize is that being broke or just having enough money to subsist, are indicative of certain traits women in general aren't attracted to. Traits like laziness, unintelligence, lack of ambition, bad luck, and a lack of good education. It's not the fault of a financially ambitious woman who is financially bouyant herself if she doesn't want to mingle with broke people, let alone date them.

She comes across as a snob as well as I don't understand how mingling with people should be on the basis of their pocket.

Very shallow write-up and it just goes to prove that relationships in Nigeria have become very transactional.

You don't care about facts so quit crying to me. That's why you you can't justify your vapid points with any logic. Why would Nigeria leave president without means of escape in case of emergency? The norm anywhere is to keep assets close to him.

Means of escape, lmaoooo. Escaping from what exactly? Funniest thing I've read all day, smh.

Try not to drown in your tears. I had a front page thread already expressing my criticism of the lack of transpency about the medical cost incurred on tax payers. I also established the fact he campaigned on reducing medical tourism multiple threads. Besides your shallow emotional arguements doesn't justify why his jet should leave.

I don't give a hoot about your FP thread, so you can take a seat when done, mr sycophant.

It's sad people need sarrki to tell them the obvious. Buhari’s jet can't leave his side. He's still the president. Some kids of this website don't know difference between acting president and president though.

It is even sadder that people who refer to others as kids are trying to justify such a ridiculous amount spent on parking fees, all coming from the coffers of a third world country like Nigeria. Sycophancy will be the undoing of this country.

oh now I c where this is going. my dear Nigeria isn't about goodluck or buhari. Nigeria is bigger than both men. D office of d president of d federal republic of Nigeria is an institution that far outlives any president. so I don't give a damn about goodluck or buhari.all I am interested in is seeing any occupant of d office of president fulfil his/her constitutional responsibilities and deliver on his or her campaign promises. goodluck is now past tense and he has himself 2 blame 4 that.buhari is d new kid on d block.it is his choice 2 make himself look like a novice and failure when compared 2 past administrations.already he isn't doing 2 bad in achieving that goal

Spot on. I couldn't have said it better.
