Smh - this is what Nigeria has turned to. Zero values.

This man remains an ex-convict and a thief. No amount of "welcoming" can change that.

The problem with these boys is that they dont know when to stop..and they allow the wealth they are getting into their head..

They forgot that if they keep scamming people sooner or later they will have to put a face to the picture..they forget these bank that they withdraw money from have cameras..at the end of the day when they get these money instead of them to quietly spend it or invest in something meaningful they head up to instagram to show off their ill gotten wealth..

Allowing the law enforcement to catch up with dem..i guess they neva learn..
When people don't actually work for their money, they usually don't invest or spend it sensibly, it ends up being squandered eventually, back to square one. Seen it happen so many times.

LordofNairaland:
That was said in anger and frustration at the crass ignorance and stupidity exhibited on this page. I love Nigeria and ever since I traced my citizenship (by descent) here, I have been over the moon. I think Buhari means well for the country. Goodluck and his cohorts destroyed this country by looting it dry. Recession had been announced as way back as early January, 2015 and the government of Jonathan was specifically warned as it had always been warned to tackle corruption and insurgency seriously. But what did they do? They sat down and shared money meant to fight Boko Haram. They also failed to save. Their intentions were to make sure Nigerians suffer recession because they were aware of its indications. Buhari is far better than Goodluck in terms of sincerity to alleviate the problems of this country, the major one and the cause of the others being CORRUPTION.

Compare Nigeria's privatization programs with China's commercialization program and you will understand why corruption is the reason why Nigeria will never have the right leaders to give us uninterrupted power supply that would more than encourage local and foreign investments.
I apologise for that harsh statement. Many people were fed up with Jonathan which was the reason they overwhelmingly voted for Buhari because they fully expected him to set things right, but what did we see? He appointed ministers with corruption charges hanging over their heads (took him 6 good months to do that by the way), he banned govt officials from traveling for medical treatment but where is he right now? In London receiving the best treatment the average Nigerian can never experience. The employment scandal at CBN was not addressed, the N-Power programme is yet to be implemented, and so much more.

To cut a long story short, Buhari has failed on all fronts. Jonathan was bad but Buhari is dismally worse, people have lost hope in his administration. Nigerians are fed up with deceitful leadership.

the funniest thing is that when this regime starts to 'try' to do the right thing because of pressure from those who are protesting, people like the op would not be sincere enough to recognise the impact of a mass motivated protest.

if not for more people criticizing this regime...

1. data prices would have doubled by now;

2. price of PMS would have gone up again;

3. there would have been further increases in taxes;

4. more TV & media houses would have been shutdown by now;

5. we probably won't have had ministers by now;

6. PMB would still have been spending 4 days in a week gallivanting the globe;

7. this regime won't have started any work on putting an economic plan in place;

8. the herdsmen would have taken over the south by now;

9. all PMB's appointments would have favoured only his kinsmen without regard to FCP;

10. the NASS would have become an appendage of the presidency...

11. it would have probably been N1000-$1 by now.

in fact, Nigeria would have been worse off...

truth is, those who criticise this regime are the ones saving Nigeria from total collapse.
You are completely spot on.

It is just so annoying seeing the likes of OP and his other paid agents trying to stop people from exercising their constitutional rights. Nigeria has passed that stage unfortunately for them. Things are too bad right now to turn a blind eye.

His frustrations are making him remember now what the poor masses have been suffering since 1999.
When he was collecting his share of the loot from Akpabio and his uncle David Mark, he forgot that others were suffering in Nigeria.
You probably need more help than him, so leave him alone and let him be. What exactly is scaring all of you? What?

The protest is long overdue. Most people fool around than 2Face in their daily lives. He was a near perfect man, not until he showed signs of championing the protest. He immediately became an object of ridicule in the hands of the APC.

Tinubu, Buhari, Oyegun and other staunch APC politicians all protested against a sitting president and Buhari came as the false messianic liar that he is, just as your emboldened.

You are in the class of those I would gladly call 'Ekpa' in Urhobo. We made a huge mistake with the man called Buhari.

By the way, did you ever at any point ask what 2Face would gain from all these? Except power is constant in your house 24/7, except you shop internationally while you're charged 205/210/dollar, except you still buy the PMS at 97/litre, and except prices of foods remain the same in your locality, then I'd advise you sit out while those that are pained and terribly affected come out to make their grievances known against this tyrannical government.
OP should come and answer these questions, since he is such a smart as_

Dude, no offense but you mean you took your time to write this s.hit.

Damn, we truly need more jobs in Nigeria.
We practice a democracy, citizens can protest at any time for any reason, so long as it's peaceful.

Why is the government so scared.
Though its quite shameful sha, that the first ever protest led by a non politician is against an administration of "change", an opposition government that we expected so much from.

Tsk tsk, it's unfortunate,but not our fault that the administration didn't perform.
Like serious sh..t I tell you.
Does this OP go to the same market other Nigerians do?
Is OP experiencing this same inflation at 18% +?

And yet deems it fit to write this worthless epistle up here.

LOL. You are not a good analyst, all I have done is to make things clear so that those who want to protest with 2Face understand exactly what they are doing. It is for the unexposed who might be blindly following. If you think you understand the dynamics and want to protest, it is your legs, you are free to walk with them to wherever you like.

Seriously, you need to stop linking me to the Minister in your head. #LOL
No one needs your advice on whether they should protest or not. People who are wearing the shoes know where it pinches them.

See statement. The people protesting are they babies that they don't understand what they are doing.

It would be nice if people don't let religious affiliation becloud their sense of judgement, but reality is otherwise.

i agree that nothing can justify that huge amount..but if every government had realised and cut down 3billion annualy..by now the figure wouldn't be that much..would it?

to understand Nigeria's problem you have to go way back... and unless there is an actual and sincere review of our democracy, all these would ultimately amount to nothing.

and by the way...3 billion naira is huge how ever way you look at it
Fair point.

i see you are very bad with numbers.

3 billion can construct thousands of kilometres of roads. can revamp and equip more than 10 hospitals nationwide just to mention a few.

it's a good step to cutting cost, albeit a very minor one.
Good thing you acknowledge it's a minor step. THAT was my point. There is nothing significant about it.

13 billion is still a HUGE sum, what exactly is in the state house to gulp such an amount?

What is significant about 10 hospitals NATIONWIDE?

Btw, that's an interesting job you've got.
