The only time you could really show you mean the words in your songs, yet you disappointed us.
May be he remembered sound sultan's song:
"I want to be like moses... Take my people dem to the promise land, But then I notice something... People wet try am don dey underground... I see them, I ja (run), look dem from far, Me I fear this government people"
How many likes for the likes of Seyi law He must feel like a scumbag right now. I only hope though that he chickened out from fear, rather than he was paid off. |

[s] DropShot: I am sure Nigerians will rank amongst the world's dumbest people.
Simple logic, we find hard to understand.
I am sure if this regime was culpable, Soyinka and those who matter most in Nigeria would have been up in arms before now.
Imagine people defending criminals and corrupt politicians are same protesting about the economic woes brought upon us by the looters they hail!
Shame on them! [/s] |

How come he did not speak to the President himself if indeed the delegation was ready to return home yesterday? Why the personal doctor? |

proeast: Yes, corpers are not allowed to protest or be partisan in any way. Kudos to the corper though, situation in Nigeria has gone beyond being careful. Tuface missed a golden opportunity to forever join the hall of fame of freedom fighters like Fela, Gani, Nnamdi Kanu etc. Tuface has no excuse, he shouldnt have chickened out even if he was threatened. So sad. I tell you. I guess that's what separates the men from the boys. Unfortunately people have long memories and will not forget easily. I also don't think any harm would have come to him or his family had he gone ahead, because Nigerians had their eyes on him, the govt and/or police would not want that backlash that would come with harming him. |

He has played his part, it's now left for you and I to fight for ourselves and protect our futures. I am not expecting him to be in the streets protesting, my comment was more about how he hasn't spoken up about the state of the nation considering the support he gave Buhari during the election. |

FYI, I condemned the 5percent statement made by the ailing president as any SW person will neva make such ridiculous statement Yes everyone is, and I am sure they are represented in one of those 2 states, we can't blanket conclude all Igbos are not a part of it simply because no S/E city carried out a protest. |
Celebrities › Re: Photo Of Seyi Law At The National Stadium For Protest by ephi123(f): 12:32pm On Feb 06, 2017 |
wristbangle: Ask yourself, aside Lagos, FCT, Ibadan, which other places have we recorded protest so far? But you guys were the same ones who referred to them as 5% and make fun of them calling them IPOB. If you were in their shoes, would you sincerely think they should join the protest on that basis? Besides, as far as I am concerned, Lagos and Abuja are melting pots for different ethnicities in Nigeria so they likely are represented there. |

They have vowed not to join in the protest becos afonjas removed their shameless hero from power Some of you still don't get that this protest is beyond 2015 election or online IPOB/Afonja jabs. Everyone is in this mess together and the earlier we stop with these unnecessary distractions, the better. |

0b10010011: Scanty protest!
Akpabio and Fayose's plan failed woefully.
I just hope the Nigerian Armed Forces and Nigerian Police Force do the needful in due time. State it clearly. What exactly is the needful to be done? Shoot at innocent protesters? You should be ashamed of yourself if that is what you were referring to. Later when people are referred to as animals in human skin, they will claim they are not. |

mrvitalis: Please read about Brazil and Indonesia economic please... U can grow even in corruption... But no economy that depends on taxing can be excessively corrupt because the tax payers won't let that happen
U think if Saudi or uae get their money from tax they will allow their leaders to be worth billions... Hope u get my point now So you think looting will be less if the income is from tax, rather than oil...hmmm, fair point, people will be more sensitive to how the money is spent. |

mrvitalis: My point is all three have better infrastructure than us.. If we had enough revenue at worse we will be like Brazil.. That's my point.. They have better infrastructure because they have low levels of corruption, with the exception of Brazil - there is nothing to aspire to in "being like Brazil". They've got equally as many problems as Nigeria has right now because of corruption. It has nothing to do with revenue. Countries without high revenues are making progress, because the little they have, they use it for what it is meant to be used for. |
Politics › Re: "I Stand With Nigeria" Protest Begins In Lagos (Photos) by ephi123(f): 11:07am On Feb 06, 2017 |
mrvitalis: Lol.. Ok Brunei, Brazil, Indonesia None of these 3 are middle east, and of the 3 the only one known for massive corruption is Brazil, they have had a lot of protests since 2016 because of the economic situation. Corruption at the end of the day will always hinder development significantly. Indonesia is not a huge player in the oil sector, their production has declined in the past two decades. Brunei is a tiny country, not much to reckon with. |

I'm not sure the people around Buhari have his interest at heart at all. If they did they would have cautioned him. When he was flying across the globe like someone being pursued, he didn't realize that consistent jet lag and change of environment at this age should be minimized.
Does he see Mugabe or Biya travelling in the same manner? They know they are old, they don't tempt fate. |
Politics › Re: "I Stand With Nigeria" Protest Begins In Lagos (Photos) by ephi123(f): 10:58am On Feb 06, 2017 |
mrvitalis: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, uae all have super corrupt leaders living lavish lifestyle... But yet has enough to develop their place.. That's what enough revenue can do for u Those 3 countries you mentioned have done very very well in terms of development neither are they known for corruption (check their ranking in the latest index) - so again this is not just about having high revenues but high revenues combined with low levels of personal enrichment and corruption. |
Politics › Re: "I Stand With Nigeria" Protest Begins In Lagos (Photos) by ephi123(f): 10:43am On Feb 06, 2017 |
mrvitalis: The middle east has some of the most corrupt leaders and messed up systems in the world.. But because the revenue is high what do u get? Which middle east country are you referring to? Be specific please. The oil rich countries in the middle east are doing very well because they have developed their country with the oil income they made i.e. the money was NOT looted like was and still is being done in Nigeria. |
