Good Morning Everyone

I hope everyone is having a good day

I have a study permit that is expiring on the 11th of June, 2022 because of my passport.

I am renewing my passport at the moment but it is still yet to come so

I would like to know if I can start my application for study permit renewal without the new passport and I would like to know how I can go about the matter??

If there is anything else I need to know about, please kindly share

Thank you very much

PPR Dropped yesterday! We thank God.
It's been a long wait and I would like to thank every guru that helped me through this process. I would also like to thank my sister for helping me as well, because this wouldn't have been possible without her. First time applicant, normal route and no agent.

My Timeline
June 11th - Application submitted
June 12th - Request for Biometrics
June 16th - Biometrics done and Updated
July 8th - Upfront Medicals submitted
July 9th - Medicals being reviewed
July 20th - Medicals passed
Sept 20th - PPR Dropped

All Documents Submitted;
1) Application of study permit made outside Canada (imm1294e)
2) Letter of Acceptance
3) Scanned Copy of Passport Info Page
4) Proof of Funds (which includes Letter of Explanation of Funding Support, Letter of Financial Support and Affidavit from Sponsor, Scanned Copy of Sponsors ID, Sponsorship Letter, Sponsors 6-Months Bank Statement and Reference Letter from Bank, Tuition deposit payment Receipt)
5) My Digital Photo
6) Upfront E-Medical Information Sheet
7) Family Information (imm5645e),
cool Client Information (which includes Letter of Explanation, Police Clearance Certificate, Proof of Volunteering, Online Certificates related to my preferred course of study)

WE THANK GOD! It wouldn't have been possible without His grace. The thread has been a tremendous help. I wasn't in any WhatsApp group, nor did I have any agent. I did this application with my sister and Nairaland. It took a long time to work on it, but it was worth it.

To God be thy glory.
Great is thy faithfulness.

To all PPR Hopefuls: You will get it soon by the grace of God—Your labour will not be in vain. God, in His infinite mercies, will cover your mistakes and colour your efforts. The joy will go round. We all testify to the goodness of God and his name will be magnified. He will surely come through for everyone.

Thank you everyone, I hope you find this useful.

Good Afternoon everyone,

I hope everyone is having a good day

I applied on the 11th of June and my review of eligibility is still yet to begin.

However, I submitted my LOA, and it has an expiration date of 8th September 2021, which is tomorrow.

My courses will be online for the fall semester, but I would like to know if and how I can mention this to IRCC.

Please advise

Thank you very much
Please this is URGENT

Good Morning everyone,

I would like to know what kind of questions an international student should expect at the port of entry?

Also, I plan to stay in my sister's apartment for the 2-week quarantine before heading to campus. She is also a student. The problem is she lives in a different province than my college. Would the border/immigration officer have an issue with this?

If so, I would appreciate any suggestions for a suitable quarantine plan.
Thank you very much

Lekiboboe:
1) IOM (Lagos or Abuja) - #46,500

Q-life - (Lagos Only) - #40,000 (New Price) formerly #35,000

2) For IOM,
this is your plug
How to book for Medicals at IOM, Ikeja, Lagos or Abuja
https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/261#93191277

For Q-life,
this is your plug
Q-life , Lagos , Details (For Medicals)
https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/389#94601459

Members on this platform who did their medicals at Q-life would be able

3) For IOM , Lagos, you are to go there with your Valid International Passport & Printed Evidence of Payment for the Upfront Medical (Very Important). Members who did medicals at Q-life would let you know how it is done there.

4) If you use IOM Lagos, they would notify you by text when they have sent your Upfront Medicals to IRCC.

After you are through with the medicals, either of the clinics you choose to do ur Medical will give u an E-MEDICAL SHEET, its that E-MEDICAL SHEET u gonna send via WEBFORM AND MAIL to CIC NAIROBI IMMIGRATION OFFICE

The link below is ur plug for that
Sending Webform of E-Medical Sheet (Upfront Medicals) & Sending the same E-medical sheet via E-mail to Nairobi office (see template of the message body for the Webfrom & Email)
https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/260#93174797

If you are going to be doing your medicals at IOM Lagos, you would find the information in the link below very helpful

IOM, Lagos based on Experience Medicals of a Nairaland Member
https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/198#98618943
Thank you very much for this information. I really appreciate it.

However I still have a question

For the Printed Evidence of Payment for the Upfront Medical

Do you mean my Transaction Receipt immediately after my online student visa application OR

I get the evidence after booking and paying the #46,500 fee online for IOM Lagos?

Please I would like to know about this.

Thank you very much

Hello Everyone

I hope everyone is having a good day

I have a sister who is currently studying in Canada

I would like to know if it's possible to attach her transcript to my Canadian study visa application as a way to show she is studying in Canada without any financial backlogs

I would also like to know if there are other documents of hers I should add to further validate my intentions

Please advise

Thank you very much

JustMellow:
Hello EPICUnleashed,

You can fill the gaps with either of:

• Paid/unpaid internship
• Voluntary works
• Apprenticeship
• Online studies
• Part-time management of a family business
• Social development/social works/health awareness promotions
• Workshops participation
• NYSC
• Short employment/probatory employment (partial pay/commission/allowances incentives)
• Online sales/digital marketing/blogging/show promoter
• etc

n.b. in any that you opt for must be the most suitable and well-related to your experience line and/or prospect study.

Hope this helps?

Best of Luck
Thank you very much for the advice
I am grateful and it is well appreciated.

JustMellow:
Hello EPICUnleashed,

Note that this advice is not limited to the following documents. However, it boils down to the nature of the organization and how well organized it is. You can show:

• Membership certificate/card

• ID card

• Photos when on mission outreach

• Awards

• Training/Volunteering certificate(s)

• Welcoming or acceptance email correspondence received upon becoming a member or as the case may be (preferably non-commercial email)

• Newspaper or publications on articles of your active participation/services in the name of the organizational outreaches or missions

• Organization web page where you are recognized as a bona fide member, etc

• Printed program copy, brochure, pamphlet, flyer, etc having you as host or participating host/member or being recognized

• A screenshot of the organizational social media page(s) recognizing you either by image upload or by appreciating your contributions by your full name acknowledgment

• ...etc. Please, kindly Follow GCMSWriters on Instagram/Twitter for rich Canada immigration updates and others.

Best of Luck
Thank you for your response and I have also followed GCMSWriters on Twitter as well.

I am truly grateful

Hello everyone,

I am putting together my Canadian study permit application and have some questions to ask.

I graduated from secondary school in 2018, what is the best way to address the study gap in my SOP?

Also, my sister is studying in Canada. Do I mention her in my SOP?

Lastly, can I use a copy of my sponsor's 6 month bank statement or do I have to get his mybankstatement certificate?

Thank You
