Critics of Nigeria have ensured that all Nigerians are familiar with the negatives of Nigeria. Actually, critics have been so effective that it has become as if the entire world is familiar with these negatives also. I’m sure I’m not the only one occasionally surprised by some foreigners’ expert negative opinions on Nigeria. It is a wonder then that some Nigeria critics on this thread find others unreceptive when they criticise. A poster (EricBraven ) even uploaded a Fela video – possibly not EricBraven’s intention but the vid reinforces this observation that criticism of Nigeria has a long history. We get it and maybe some of us would appreciate a fresh approach to these criticisms of all aspect of Nigeria and Nigerianess supposedly intended as a kick in the direction of positive change. A less stale approach may be for all future such “motivational” speeches and writings to include positives that counteract the debilitating and morally exhausting negatives. Battling negatives is possibly easier when invigorated by positives

So Yaw if you’re not offended by my asking, what you would suggest are the Nigeria positives of which we all should be aware and need to work on even as we are remained of the negatives that we all must fight to reverse?
I wasn't the one who posted the fela video

NIGERIA AIR FORCE DESTROY TERRORISTS' GUN TRUCKS AS GROUND TROOPS KILL ISWAP - BOKO HARAM FIGHTERS
Scores of Boko Haram-ISWAP terrorists have been killed , while their gun trucks were also destroyed in a well-coordinated joint operation of the air component and the ground troops in Gubio, Borno State.

at least four gun trucks belonging to the criminal elements were destroyed by airstrikes of a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) alpha jet while ground troops pursued and killed the fleeing terrorists.

The insurgents were killed on Monday after they encountered the military jet, sent to provide close-air supports to ground forces at Gubio.

Sources gathered that the ground troops at Gubio were initially confronting the invading terrorists when the NAF jet on a different mission was instructed to proceed to the Gubio axis.

“The NAF alpha jet, on sighting the Boko Haram-ISWAP fighters fleeing towards Damasak in four-gun trucks, rocketed their convoy and subsequently immobilized the occupants.

“After the aerial bombardments, some terrorists who were trying to escape on foots, were neutralised by ground troops.

“Apart from the destroyed gun trucks, items recovered from the terrorists included sophisticated guns, ammunition, fragmental jackets, jerry cans, bags of Indian hemp, sexual enhancement pills and exercise book containing Arabic text on how to make bombs.

Meanwhile, following reports of terrorists’ movements within Sambisa from Parisu through Njimiya axes, another military attack jet, which was quickly scrambled, intercepted the Boko Haram-ISWAP elements at a location and neutralized them in multiple airstrikes.

However, Sources says that the mission was successful.

The Theatre Commander, General Christopher Musa has commended the troops for the gallantry in the joint air and ground operation and charged them to remain dedicated in ensuring total annihilation of ISWAP-Boko Haram in their hideouts and enclaves.

Someone was talking about this recently. 80% of those arrested as ESN are innocent .
I hope you know what 80% is, if they have arrested a thousand 1000 ESN suspect then 800 of them are innocent people, which doesn't pan out well for your own stat, apart from the petroleum engineer which other people has the family claim to be innocent? Truth is no one can tell what another person is doing with his or her time,in secondary School you hear teachers tell parents that your kid at home is not the same kid in school. Which means people keep secrets from their closest ones. Let wait for the court to decide. Peace

No waste your time chief.
Some here thinks we are protecting a criminal, when no one did such.
I wonder how many Chinese and Russians are also wanted(granted their might be no extradition treaty in place), you see Moscow or Beijing handing them over? but a black man hear FBI, they thought the gods have arrived.
No matter his crime, Nigeria must carry out her own investigation and if found guilty of certain misdeeds, appropriate punishment should follow.
Some saying US have jurisdiction, lol, where? even if these accusations are true, Nigeira could put him on trial and tell the DOJ they can have him once he's done serving his time.
Me, i want him punished if guilty, but don't throw your citizen to a foreign country on a whim. he will also exercise his right to challenge this in court, then those FBI agents will come here with their prosecutors and argue their case.
A Nigerian judge will determine this, no one esle.

The tribalism that has eaten some people up will take us years to heal from. a lot of re-education has to be done on this generation

People are just demanding what they feel the police would do, to a random nobody citizen to be done to kyari. Which entirely isn't a bad thing, and can push them to improve on the way they do things.
I don't see it that way bro, they want the man trapped because he is part of what you would define as the recognized in the society, former SARS division officer and what to see dent on the image of the police force or largely Nigeria.
If anyone thinks dishing out the same dose of medicine to another person is what would reform the police then we are in for a long ride.

i think they should just extradite allen oyenma and abba kyari together, since some of us has decided to put on bias lens when having conversation concerning the state of our nation.
Some have pronounce him(kyari) guilty even before the court proceeding begins, some here are saying another person will be worst than the current president because the person refuse to fit into your own perceived truth.
How about we start extraditing everyone the FBI ask for and make ourselves puppet, them ask we carry give them like say you no get value.
mtcheew.
A lot of young people need to be taught what patriotism is, you don't just wake up to a news concerning your own people and decide to fly with it without probing what it content is. HABA.
Some want him thrown to the dogs because he is a police officer, once head the SARS division and what not but truth be told will other countries do the same to their citizens when they are requested for extradition ? feed on it

And he can as well dispose of your assets as he sees fit and arrange a very early meeting between you and your ancestors, all without a crime being committed or your being charged with anything.
