Considering it's Nigerian police....I wouldn't be surprised if some where innocent, like the case of the other man that came for burial or the one that was shot, but was going or coming from church

Police that shot someone and is pinning it on someone else from the protests in Lagos.

70% of the crisis we have in Nigeria is directly or indirectly linked to the Nigerian police.
Not ruling out the facts that it can happen, we all look down on this police officers like they are some kind of dumb individuals who just pick innocent people on every operation they embark on. C'mon man
Apart from the guy that went for burial, did the church goers make a statement or provide evidence to this effect ?

This cars will draw attention to them during operation and this cars were kept to be sold later.
If it is well planned, I don't think it would. This will even help them keep police away from seeing them approaching. When the do the convoy style with them wearing police or army uniform full gear with their guns in hand. I bet the police will be caught off guard either on approaching their checkpoint or stations.
The police will probably assume that it is one big man or senior officer visiting their station

That Hilux is not bulletproof and this are not their normal operational car
Check through the driver side window, night not be though.
I think it isn't right to say this isn't part of their operational vehicles until we have enough information

They have killed so many security personnels. They stole it from dead personnels.

That black Land Cruiser belongs to government and it appears in pristine condition. How did they get that? Were they given by a sympathiser within the government?
Maybe snatched from the driver of the land cruiser.
They are majorly civilian driver who are friends to one person in government and doesn't really know how to maneuver is way out of a tight situation

The court block should be sealed off in fact. There is a very high possibility of his foot men attempting a rescue operation. Every vehicle moving within 250m radius of the court should be screened for bombs and other weapons.

This isn't a normal court proceedings as it is tightly related to national security. However, measures should be put in place to allow for the live broadcasting of the event to ensure there won't be any claims of secrecy and conniving.
i think it is being broadcasted live by the approved TV stations

You ain't getting the point then, I've never questioned the competence of the men of the NAF in my opinion when it comes to individuals/manpower we are amongst the best in Africa, even the Indians/Pakistanis flight cadets/students in American aviation Institutea always see Nigerians as threat(academically) I've said here before an Aircraftsman/woman in the Airforce will stand toe to toe with a Lieutenant in the army when it comes to training and exposure; but you see this collective organisation/teamwork/administration & management of a thing this is where Nigeria is a washout when placed at par with Indians or South Africans, I know know whether na JuJu.
Southafrica has more than 20 flight schools that are fully operational some dating back to the 60s, in Nigeria we only have three flight schools of which only two are still in operation and both of them are operating in an off/On basis as if they're also under ASUU. You're talking about training facilities aside the ones owned by NAF for Typerating of their personnel which other facilities can you mention that is functional or have being in operation for atleast 5 to 10yrs?
No aviation player will ever tell you Nigeria is better than Southafrica, infact it is very laughable to make such statement. When it comes to aviation the Southafricans are in same class with Indians/Paks.
So it wasn't a collective effort that made those pilot for the alpha jet and helicopter pilot get winged.
Have you ever tried to know why the flying school is functioning that way?

There is something confusing to me and yet it has not been answered ?
Where is the co-pilot or main pilot of the Alpha jet.
What if he was the only one available at the moment to go for the interdiction

NewDelhi:
The Ogun State police command has arrested a suspect for kidnapping a military officer and stripping him off his uniform and using it to commit a crime.

The incident occurred at Odo Pako Ota, in Ado Odo Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The suspect was alleged to have made an attempt to snatch a Dane gun from a vigilante operative.

The police spokesperson in the state, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi said the suspect Waliu Oloyede was arrested following a distress call received by the Divisional Police Officer, Sango Ota divisional headquarters, CSP Godwin Idehai that vigilante men are having issues with an army officer at Odo Pako area of Ota.

“Upon the report, the DPO led his team to the scene where the suspect, who dressed in full military camouflage uniform with the rank of W02 but could not give a satisfactory account of himself, was apprehended and brought to the station.

“Upon interrogation, the suspect was unable to give an account of how he got the military uniform, or address of the unit where he is serving, hence he was detained for impersonation”

“While in detention, police got an information that the suspect and others at large abducted W/o2 military officer at about 11:30 pm of 16th July 2021and took him to their hideout in Alagbado Lagos State where he was stripped off his uniform, collected his identity card, his three ATM cards and phone before the victim escaped from them,” the police statement read in part.

Oyeyemi said the suspect wore their victim’s uniform and used it to commit another crime before they were arrested.

The commissioner of police CP Edward Ajogun has ordered the transfer of the suspect to an anti-kidnapping unit of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation.

The CP also ordered a massive manhunt for other accomplices with the view to bringing them to justice.

PRESS RELEASE

ALPHA JET AIRCRAFT CRASHES IN ZAMFARA STATE, PILOT RESCUED

On 18 July 2021, at about 12.45 pm, a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Alpha Jet aircraft, returning from a successful air interdiction mission between the boundaries of Zamfara and Kaduna State, came under intense enemy fire which led to its crash in Zamfara State. Luckily, the gallant pilot of the aircraft, Flight Lieutenant Abayomi Dairo, successfully ejected from the aircraft. Using his survival instincts, the pilot, who came under intense ground fire from the bandits, was able to evade them and sought refuge in nearby settlements awaiting sunset. Using the cover of darkness and his phone set for navigation, Flight Lieutenant Dairo was able to elude several bandits’ strongholds and maneuvered his way to a Nigerian Army Unit, where he was finally rescued.

It is instructive to note that upon receipt of the news of the crash, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao, had directed that all efforts must be emplaced to rescue the pilot. Accordingly, NAF Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance (ISR) platforms and helicopter gunships provided close air support to NAF Special Forces and Nigerian Army troops who were able to locate the crash site and the pilot’s parachute, while also combing nearby locations for any sign of the pilot. It is gladdening to note that while in hiding, Flight Lieutenant Dairo confirmed that the presence of NAF aircraft within the vicinity of the crash site helped in scaring the bandits who were after him, thus enabling him to find refuge and escape to a safe location.

It is important to also recall that only recently, the President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, had directed the Armed Forces of Nigeria to do all it takes to flush out criminal elements in Katsina, Zamfara and Kaduna States. It is in fulfilment of this directive that the NAF, in conjunction with surface forces, has in the last 2 weeks mounted intensive day and night air interdiction operations against bandits and their hideouts, especially in these 3 states. Through these intensive air operations, hundreds of bandits have been neutralized and several of their hideouts destroyed.

Despite the setback of yesterday’s crash, the NAF remains committed towards fulfilling Mr President’s mandate as well as other constitutional roles assigned to it. The willingness, readiness and tested ability of the NAF remains unshaken and unwavering as it continues to carry out its assigned roles.

Kindly bring the information to the awareness of the general public. Thank you.

NAF has confirmed the crash of an Alpha Jet due to enemy action.

Praises to God Lt Dairo took his SERE training serious and was able to escape.

It is APPALLING that these "bandits" now have the ability to bring down aircraft.
