Actually you know a kid when you hear one, such passion what a beauty. Sry to bust your bubble though, I know it hurts but better when you direct that pain towards your BEE political and military leaders that have managed to take the SADF back a 100 years from what it used to be to a now moribund SANDF with a handful of shiny gear bought almost 20 years ago whilst technology has since moved on.
But yes we agree with you Kabe1 does delight us with your fanciful pics the only problem is they haven't made any tangible difference to suggest otherwise to observers that your military today is not what it used to be.
You might want to start with replacing your almost sole outdated maritime patrol plane and Olifant tanks and perhaps upgrade your few Gripen jets to EF standard, bring out whatever is left of your serviceble Frigate or Submarine from dry dock with qualified personnel in tow before you come here to attempt the Salsa with existing and anticipated Nigerian 3rd generation VT-4 tanks, stand off ST-1 tank destroyers, modern Maritime Patrol planes, new state of the art persistent at sea Ocean Patrol Vessels, Fast Attack Crafts & SDBs, 4th generation dedicated high endurance ISR CT/COIN & border patrol A-29 Super Tucano planes, brand new 4++ Cadre BVR JF-17 Thunder Air Superiority Fighter Jets, Advanced M346 air & ground precision attack fighter jets, Advanced Wing Long 11 & CH-3/CH-4 UCAVs and that's just some of the items on the list of our modern inventory of which nothing of such capability exists in the present SANDF but beyond that highly trained and qualified Nigerian servicemen and women. As we have seen with Afghanistan the man is more important than the machine something you haven't lived up to in recent times with the bare bones you acquired in a corrupt deal under Presidents Nelson Mandela & Thabo Mbeki with President Jacob Zuma getting the kick-backs.
Take a chill pill. I could go further but let's just save your face from public ridicule especially from those who know better these matters. By the way don't even try to go to foreign deployments because you will be thoroughly embarrassed to find out Nigeria actually wrote the original script on which you now brag.
Nigeria does not use South Africa as a benchmark rather the United States and advanced European countries has always been our benchmark of military advancements and developmental indicators. We don't need to use South Africa that has a smaller GDP economy and weaker Army, actually the average Nigerian just sees South Africa as another African country we will need to bail out if its security and economy collapses. We saved you once from slavery and apartheid only I don't know if we will ever do so again after all the ingratitude just like you daring to question who is boss.
In the interview of the former group captain of the Nigerian airforce, he mentioned something about having eyes in the sky at all times, something like observation balloons that will enhance the effectiveness of other ISR platforms. The airforce first needs to know where they are right now and then continue to monitor their movement until it a suitable time to destroy them. The few ISR platforms we have can't stay in the air for so long.
True but how many observation balloon will be enough, where will they be fixed and will there be manpower allocated to protect this balloon. I once suggested that we get each state an isr drone but then again it won't be enough because they would need to be recharged and serviced but can the number of ISR platforms be increased and also the intelligence gathering agencies need to increase their capacity and response
this is unfortunate walai. I keep wondering if it is some sort of deficiency from the part of AFNs Intelligence or is it the Absence of Political will power to deal with these guys.
I won't say It is not about intelligence or political will,it is about timing and the ability to be easily mobile and uncertainty. You may have ISR craft above them but are you sure they don't have kidnapped victims in their midst that is being used as shield
Ok. This is something none of our firm has handled before. Considering the population & complexity of Nigeria terrain, will u prefer to give it out to our fintech for trail and error ? If anything goes wrong u still will come out to blame CBN .
I am not for and against the fintech but what your said about Nigeria companies are not entirely true
Beedude: Okay. I dont see anything wrong in what CBN has done if truly the tech given has run such program in another country and was a success. This is a major project that any wrong decision can hamper. If this foreign company cant live up to expectation, then CBN will have a lot explanation to give.
So many people forgot how pos, atm and other transaction errors takes more than a month to get rectified for our fintechs but want CBN to trust them. Ordinary electricity, our companies cant distribute. Now we run to Seimens, a German company to help. Julius Berger, Arab contractors and CCECC are still the ones doing most of our major roads. Give a Nigeria company the project and regret later.
Believe it or not, Salatavor, there aren’t many polices forces internationally whose officers would tolerate the pulling and pushing these Nigerian women subjected the Nigerian police office to in the Video in spite of the police Officer’s prior inhumane assault. Do you know that I was watching CNN or Aljazeera’s coverage of some of the disturbances that followed George Floyd’s death, and on one late evening capture, a black woman could be seen remonstrating with a white police officer that had manhandled her off camera. She flayed at the officer, as women do when they become irate, and the white officer’s police partner, an African American, stepped between them and gave the black woman a vicious left hook that knocked her down and flat out.
I was shocked that the news readers did not remark on the event when viewing cut back to them in the studio. Before this I had thought that the clip was to highlight this brutal incident but it seems the clip was in order to highlight something else. Her attack was merely incidental.
I’m not condoning police brutality, all these officers deserve suspension and the publics anger, I’m just concerned that we Nigerians are working ourselves up to such a state of righteous indignation , we are willing to tear ourselves apart in the belief that we are uniquely terrible people enduring uniquely terrible circumstances.
That is a one sided story,up there. Most times when Nigerians are stopped by the police they are already on the offensive not even bothering to know the reason for their stop.

The political scene are run by intelligence officers, they know when to throw bone at the population. Former CBN governor made some claim with no evidence several others have done the same,we need something concrete not your thoughts
The only holy people in Nigeria are the citizens while the law enforcement agencies are the unholy ones. Mtcheew non-sense,I pity this young generation
I wish stories like this could be broadcasted across Nigeria, maybe those about to make the same mistakes will have a rethink. A tour of the cities, towns and villages affected by the insurgency and also life in the IDP camps should also be broadcasted. Movies should be made from these events.
In trurh, all aspects of the Nigerian society should have learnt from this war. Bad governance was the spark Brutality from security and law enforcement forces ignited and is still fueling the crisis Stupidity on the part of the people also contributed.
Unfortunately, we are seeing something similar starting to play out in the northwest .
This would be a great discussion on the telegram group
That's just an isolated case boss Plus did you experience this happen, abi na "them say, them say" Why haven't they been able to track and arrest those kidnapping people along kd/abj express road
I hope you have heard about slhun the arm controlled by DSS
Faithful007: I don't think it's really about who is Shiite. Iran is fighting US for political reasons not religious inclined. Iran isn't really into Islamic hard-line terrorism. Taliban is the main fear for terrorism. Both China, Russia, US are all in the same shoe. They are already taking steps to safeguard themselves. Russia has moved troops into Turkmenistan already.
You see, Taliban isn't interested in any negotiation. The only negotiation is to spare Americans. They're going to sweep that country clean, and then the defunct Afghan government and those who supported the US, will start facing the music. Thereafter, we will know whether they bring back terrorism or not. They are already giving us a hint of what is coming by calling their war an Islamic Jihad.
They will make the US up their guard on immigration because those guys go come their side
yoged: if the Americans left with their equipment and ammunition. Its people like you that'll still be complaining. Human can never be satisfied. How about blaming the Afghanistan Army who couldn't hold on to their territory.
They knew this guys can hold it,but still went ahead with their plan
Great point made bro. The lack of cohension and a common front on the part of the security agent is a flaw and weakness that the enemy can capitalize upon.
Though to be sure, it is a common plight of security agents everywhere in the world. Each agency trying to outdo the other and catch something that a sister agency missed. Basically trying to justify the need for their own existence given the multi level duplication of duties.
Good for the joutnalists tho, that the DSS didn't see the need to 'pass' them down to the police. They wouldn't have been able to escape bailing themselves
You are wrong when it comes to the intelligence agencies working together, although I agree with you that they always try to outdo each other. Do you try to imagine how they were passing him from one agencies to another for cross-check. Ever wondered how they got to know about Is presence at the first holding area? They share information
sizzorchan: A country that wants to develop, yet we have governors who still walk around without shoes, like seriously, what the fvk? this is highly inappropriate, regardless of whatever culture they have over there, it's beyond gross. you can wear your shoes inside, i think a governor residence should have a vacuum cleaner lol. This just irritate me.
It culture and it is different everywhere,it irritates you does not mean it dies to others of the same culture. So girls like men feet though
Nyanyafk: Rwanda is by all measures a poor country, Almost all African countries have had at least 50 or more years of independence and yet we are so far behind the rest of the world it’s tragic, even Ethiopia that was never colonized is nothing to write home about, every African leader and all those they have appointed since independence should be hanged if you ask me, but that is another discussion entirely.
What the leaders are guilty of,the citizens are also guilty of. When the bring bag of rice who dey collect am. We all think civil education should end once we are done with secondary School forgetting that it has to be continuous and also be implemented. They sell someone with no vision to us and we buy it with all our heart not asking question.
Nyanyafk: I don’t blame him because I sometimes catch myself in such thought, think about it bros no single Black Country is doing well, basically going in circles chasing our tails since independence, my professor used to say Africa has never had leaders and quite frankly I agree with him.
Not sure if I should shake your hand or break your head for sharing that link. Been reading stuff there for the past hour and half and I am now officially depressed. Stuff like what I read serves to convince me that the black race really could have a genetic malformation that makes them extra stupid, shortsighted and corrupt.
QuietMynd: Anyone watch the movie "Escape from sobbibor" After watching the movie, Jews should be the last people on earth to be accused of oppression.
Is it reasonable to be law abiding in ⚖ LAWLESS SOCIETY where the government has no regard for the RULE OF LAW.
I am familiar with Nigeria judiciary it mirrors our society in many ways, intrinsically corrupt.
So it is not reasonable to be law abiding in what you define as a lawless country but you can complain about it being lawless but do nothing about it, when you know the change has to start from the individual members of the society
Ogaslot: Na I no say anything this govment do right or wrong u go always support them cus be like say Buhari they give u allowance
Anyone who disagree with another person on an issue that concern the armed forces is being paid by the government because all of us have lost our common sense of questioning or disagreement bah .
sizzorchan: I wonder what language future Chinese joint military exercises will adopt? lol, ya'll better start learning some mandarin, coz it will happen eventually ( the exercise that is). And Western countries will be screaming out loud about it
Truth is some Nigerians are not willing to follow due process, even when they are right They prefer to part with their money than call a lawyer, moreover how many of use have standby lawyer that we can call on when we are in a situation that require them. If there is no giver there is no receiver. Dorime
