@bosslady. Being a boss is not by size, it's by mind, so you be Aunty weather big or not, a mother and a wife, your hubby is very lucky to have you. You have a great mind. Some ppl PM you Bcus they may want a very very personal issue to discuss with you, judging from the way you address issues here shows how meek and gentle your mind is, so there may want that advice thus. I bliv that is y you are being pmed. It's Bcus you have a good heart. bossladymo1: Me, Aunty ke lol....the few people that have seen me and spoken to me on this forum, know I'm quite young oo...dont let the moniker deceive u lol.
A better way would be to have all the enquiries posted here. No one knows all, so the different views from other people on this thread are advantageous. |

I used BCIE at Aba road, I didn't used an agent, I registered online with a total of 38k from PTE website using my ATM card, after 2days, they will place a refund of about 1k. The results are out within 5 business days. Pls accept my apologies again. scrollmeout: Hello Bros, where did u write your PTE in ph please? Is it BCIE on Aba road? And how much was it? The guy I met said 46,500 if they register me but I found out online that It costs 36,500 online. Also what was your he experience like, especially the cbt facilites and did it meet your expectations? Thanks |

Trust me, there is a mix-up somewhere, you cannot be doing a long OSHC where you must have finished your program and leave the Country. Your program ends June 30th 2019 and you stated you will be leaving the Country July 30 2019. Thus your OSHC ends Dec 2019. There is a strong accuracy in your current cover. What to do: Call your School (Telephone and email) your School should write a Letter as well as other form of evidence from the provider and add them as an attachment including your CoE when replying the Immigration. If you have any concern, you can still modify your OSHC to meet up with the requested period from the Immigration Board to cut a long story short, extra charges may come from the OSHC provider though. Let's keep in-torch on this pls. masperano: Thank you. Pls i have another question.... the evidence I have is just my eCoE where it is stated the start date and the end date of my OSHC as well as the provider. Should i call my school to send other form of evidence or should i inform my case officer to take a look at the eCoE because I really think she may have missed that info. |

Yes! Reply the email that was sent to you, that email should be your case Officer. Please don't forget to include to include all the relevant references when replying them (e.g. Transaction reference and so on). masperano: Thank you. Should this be done via email? |

This is fine. Then type a Letter to them, in the Letter quote the relevant particulars the Immigration Board has given to you when sending your correspondence to them: State in the Letter that: Your program ends 30th June 2019, and that your OSHC which is arranged from Aliaz Global Assistance is till 30 Dec 2019 which is more than enough to cover you for the duration of your program. Thus, you will be leaving Australia after the completion of your program on the 30th July 2019 respective. You have re-attached a copy of evidence of your OSHC for the required duration of your program. Therefore, arrangement for OSHC till 2020 is not necessary since your currently have enough cover plan. *Please see attached copy of evidence of OSHC arrangement. Sincerely, Your sign Your name. masperano: 1) thank u, my program ends 30-06-19
2) I think it was around the July 2019 |

There may be a mix-up somewhere: Please can I ask you to respond to the following questions? 1. When does your program ends according to your eCoE and Offer Letter? 2. What date of return after the completion of your studies did you fill on your Visa application form? This will help us ascertain and respond to your query accurately. masperano: Hi people I just received an email from pretoria asking for additional information. They want evidence of OSHC payment till 03/02/20. But it was stated on my eCoE that I ssubmitted that I am on OSHC with Allianz Global assistance till 30/12/2019. |

@chase, can you imagine? That is why the non English speaking ppl e.g. the Chinese will score higher and I kept wondering. chase123: yes Bossladymo I agree with you.if you watch real IELTS speaking test video uploaded on youtube which was conducted and taken by foreigners in non speaking English countries. You will be surprise to see an IELTS candidate with LOTS of grammatical errors in the speaking test scoring Band 7 in the speaking test unlike in Nigeria here where a candidate who has good command of English language but with FEW grammatical errors is given band 6 or 6.5.you can see for yourself on youtube |
Travel › Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by erictack203(m): 8:04am On Jun 27, 2015 |
@Chase123. Thanks a lot for your input, you are correct! I pray it should stop one day Bcus it's actually putting worms on the name "IELTS". Thanks again. chase123: hi,just want to correct you.it is fellow Nigerians who are IELTS examiners at British council Nigeria that treats Nigerian candidates unfairly. They are the ones who preside over the speaking test and do the scoring, they also mark the writing test not the british.Listening and reading is marked by the computer |

I know sm1 who finished from UK, started Undergraduate program and then postgraduate, after which, them let the guy enjoy the weather small and kicked him out after 1yr. He ended up becoming a professional driver for a Company in 9ja. I am currently advising him towards studies in oz and possibly PR route. The thing is, if UK don't reject your Visa up to 3 times after enjoying ur Visa fees, you will surely be kicked out after studies. Going tru UK is like sowing ur seed in another man's backyard. You may still beg for food after your degree, so my advice for the guy is to try oz and settle for life! izykvision0: UK will SURELY kick him out with pleasure after his 1yr Msc programme.
UK is a total waste of resources, except the person intends coming back to naija to romance the applicants job market or of course has the naija watch word: connection. |

Well Stated, IELTS has rubbished a lot of ppl including me. Take PTE and you won't regret it, they treat Nigerians unfairly, our English Language capacity is far better than most Countries, but they kept failing us in an unfair manner and using it as a Pawn to generate revenue. You will do extremely well taking PTE and u will pass with flying colours, a lot of testimonies about PTE on this thred. ewagbamio: I wasn't planning on coming here to vent but I suspect i'm already doing just that, but scrollmeout and other members of this efamily, I'l simply state it as I see it: Don't take the IELTS if you can avoid it. Take PTE, take anything else that will serve the same purpose. I wish I have seen a write up like this earlier, I might have been saved from this rubbish.
I do not have issues with the content of the test as it appears fair enough to me but on account of the reasons stated below, I'd suggest you stay clear of IELTS whenever possible or at least look objectively at the other options before making a choice:
1. IELTS is very subjective, the speaking component that is. but then this is my opinion and there are bound to be equally valid counter arguements 2. The English testing business is just that, a big business and IELTS's market position is so dominant that it is almost a monopoly. As such it can afford to delay your result for as long as it likes (I got my initial TRF after 4weeks of waiting), PTE gives you your result in 5 working day max. 3. IELTS as a business are untidy, very untidy. I tried for months to speak with a human being on the phone but it was simply impossible. Most of the publicly available nos were switched off or otherwise non functional. What responsible business does that? You took my money and I took the test. Fine so far. Then I need my results but it took a month and there is nobody to give me an answer on the phone. Most Nigerian online businesses provide far better customer service than this 4. The results are not available online contrary to the claims made on their website and during the course of the test. They even gave me a link where I was supposed to input my data and get a peek at my results but nothing came up, tried like 2 dozen times, nothing. This is 2015, not the year 1520. WAEC, NECO, JAMB, PTE, TOEFL, the auto sparepart dealers in Ikoku and just about everybody's online except IELTS results. What a shame.
I have made up my mind to take the PTE next month as i'm currently tied up with some othe issues now. All opinions expressed here are solely mine and subjective as it may seem, it is based entirely on my not so pleasant experience with the British Council/IELTS set up. |
