It's like VFS is better than Teleperformance self. Teleperformance service is somehow poor compared to when applicants were using VFS. As at then, VFS will dispatch the next day to Pretoria and even send u an sms to that effect, Teleperformance will not update you with Bcus they know their lapses, too bad. Just be patient, there is nothing u can do, keep checking your email, it will drop b4 u know it. teeflow09: Egbamiooo.....its 3months today but they claim it got to dem 6 days after I lodged the application at teleperformance here in naija wch means it will be 3months officially 6 days time....O God! Grace is all I seek! |

That's a wow score, congrats!!! mrsdee: Hi all,
I am happy to announce my pte academic exam success. My scores are L82 W 80 R 77 and S 71. Speaking was my weak point. I had difficulty in describing the graphs. My ielts result is W6.5, R8.5,L7.0 And S6.5. I read so many success stories of pte and decided to take it. It was a very wise decision considering the many tales of woe by ielts candidates. I am so happy. Next is to apply for sa sponsorship. |

@mpop, goto page 40 of the thread and check the media release again. You will see that the Asst Minister Cash said it's ending 30 June 2016 and SSVF takes effect.
Though folks that are applying then will have upper hand since the SVP will then be extended to all International Students. Thus it then depends of the Immigration risk of the University the person will be applying to, our Country has a default assessment level 3, so if the level of risk for the Institution is classified as "low", then the person will be fine irrespective of the program applied for, but if the Institution risk is on medium or high lever, then the person will be required to provide financial/english evidence.
Please all Student in the house should note that University of West Sydney no longer requires English requirements from International Students. So happy applying. |

Hello House, I have gone tru the newly proposed SSVF by the DIBP. It's far better than SVP, however, the Students and the Institution will be classified into an Immigration risk: I will post the simple table later once I get access to my Computer, I was able to dig into the discussion paper done by Consultants and Educational Stakeholders. So no worries , I almost had a high blood pressure when it was posted on the thread yesterday. Whew!!! mPop: wow! this is nt a good news for people that wanted to go svp route in the future. i hope dey dont become so strict like canada. hmmmmn |

Assistant Minister - Simplified student visa process to boost Australia's international education sector
Tuesday, 16 June 2015
Joint media release - The Hon Christopher Pyne MP, Minister for Education and Training, Leader of the House and Senator the Hon Michaelia Cash, Assistant Minister for Immigration and Border Protection
Minister for Education and Training, the Hon Christopher Pyne MP, and Assistant Minister for Immigration and Border Protection, Senator the Hon Michaelia Cash, today announced the introduction of a simplified international student visa framework (SSVF) to support Australia’s education services sector.
The changes will mean:
• a reduction in the number of student visa subclasses from eight to two, and
• the introduction of a simplified single immigration risk framework for all international students.
“Australia is open for business and welcomes genuine and high quality international students who provide a much-needed boost to our economy, our local communities and jobs, and who boost our country-to-country relationships,” Minister Pyne said.
“We warmly welcome genuine international students and we are committed to improving and protecting the integrity of our immigration system.”
“After coming to office the Government moved immediately to improve competitiveness and it is pleasing to see growth in international student enrolments in Australia has resumed.”
Minister Cash said an improved approach to the administration of student visas as part of the SSVF will have clear benefits. The overall integrity of the student visa programme will be maintained, and the improved regulatory arrangements will avoid placing unnecessary burden or cost on education providers.
The SSVF will replace both the Streamlined Visa Processing (SVP) arrangements and the current Assessment Level Framework and will apply to all international students.
It will lay out a student’s financial and English language evidentiary requirements based on two things: the immigration profile of the student’s country of citizenship and of their education provider.
“The SSVF will support the growth of the international education sector by enhancing both competitiveness and integrity while extending streamlined processing to all education sectors and all course types,” Minister Cash said.
She said the changes follow consultations on the Government discussion paper Future Directions for Streamlined Visa Processing.
“SVP served a very good purpose but it is now time to implement a broader, simpler, fairer framework,” Minister Cash said.
A working group with international education sector stakeholders is being formed to guide implementation of the new framework on the expiry of SVP arrangements on 30 June 2016.
The agencies responsible for the quality assurance and regulation of education services for overseas students will work closely with the Department of Immigration and Border Protection on the new regime.
Minister Pyne said the SSVF would contribute to the objectives of the Draft National Strategy for International Education released for consultation in April and the subject of a roundtable on international education this week.
The first of two roundtables to discuss the Draft National Strategy will be held at Parliament House, Canberra, on Thursday 18 June. Chaired by Minister Pyne, it will involve Ministers whose portfolios relate to international education, including Minister Cash.

Also, after the occupation has been access positively by VETASSES, and we intend to apply for skillselect getting a point, will she apply for Regional Sponsorship from the WA state sponsorship b/4 applying to skillselect? Those are the process am asking for. Jetspeed: It is assessed by Vetasses (Atleast the last time I checked) and the occupation falls under General Occupation

Disability Studies and Nursing has a lot of relevance compared to Community Sector Management. Community Sector Mgt fall under Social Works, while disability falls under Nursing Studies/Paramedicine. So Mrlinobrown is right, go for A which is relevant to your previous program and thus the Embassy will be fine with it. Regards. laminaria: pls house come to my aid on this issue. Schools A : cert iv in disability (39weeks)+ diploma in disability (70weeks) + adv.diploma in disability (66weeks) altogether making it 3.5 yrs for d whole course Note certificate course is a prerequisite to diploma n diploma is prerequisite to adv. dip to qualify for SVP School B: diploma of early childhood education care (78weeks) + adv.diploma in community sector management(26weeks) altogether 2yrs ..SVP too. payment for d tuition for both is almost d same except that d oshc of school A will be much more than B cos of duration of study...school A course is much in line wit former course i was denied visa wit (aged care+nursing) my question... (1) am worry cos of 3.5yrs for tafe course whc is also bsc duration as well, won't Pretoria tink i shud opted for degree? (2) completion of cert n diploma will already qualify for two yrs post study visa/ PR...can I bone d adv.dip then CC missmakoye, futuredon,surveyor1,Mrnilobrawn....pls wanna make my final moves this week....both have Oct intake too. |

@Ferdimako, I was @Teleperformance yesterday with 2 of my guys whom submitted for Study Visa application. Medical was front loaded and when I checked online, their Final Medical report has been sent to the DIBP. They did their Medicals last week friday. The worry is: will this said strike action affect their Visa processing (their resumption date is 13 July, Orientation is 6th July). Some of my guys were given their grant within 5working days. If these guys are on strike, are they not suppose to halt Visa application collection? I am worried |
