Tinubu's people must have read the report back to back before hurriedly adopting it to divert attention. They knew it's outdated. The next thing is to carry out a debate on it and eventually jettison it. |
Like I said before, they can't do without the bdcs. It's impossible. Banks aren't sincere in allocating fx which now makes bdcs the last resort for fx needs. This will reduce the pressure on the part of the naira. Instead of scrapping bdcs, arresting them or increasing their share capital to discourage operations, why not regulate their activities? I hope they can improve on that and naira can regain its strength cos only their policies affect everyone |
yarimo:Because they call it a peaceful protest ? Wait and see full enforcement nah. I hope the issues on ground are addressed cos it affects everyone. No bank would load atm with money as everyone would be advised to use electronic channels. Strike no be anyone's mate. I pray it doesn't happen and government too would address the issues leading to the protest asap |
SEsellingBabies:This warning strike. You don't expect full enforcement. If the issues on ground aren't addressed, you'd see a full-blown strike with enforcement. Not even an atm would dispense money to you for as long as the issues are addressed cos everyone would be at home. |
matify83:We'd find out who's behind this. Maybe they've collected money behind closed doors |
Isn't this lovely? Time of pretence is over now. Everyone is feeling the heat. I guess Makinde's eyes are now open to see the deceit he was lured into |
mytime24:You are right. Only gullible minds would fall for Tinubu's lies. 4th mainland bridge and lagos airport promise of almost 30 years, we never see |
SoNature:This is same man they said had collaborated with Obj to steal billions of dollar power money. Imagine the apc praising this laudable achievement which their VP came to commission. This makes me hate the apc more with passion. Their supporters are so myopic. They believe anything they tell them without finding the facts. Obj remains the only detribalized Nigerian leader. No wonder he was able to achieve so much during his terms |
Fineman2:How, why did Palestine hamas attack them? Why didn't they allow the sleeping dog lie jejelly? They caused all what they're facing now, not Istrael. They acted stupidly |
ufotunang:Southern Nigeria. Simple English ![]() |
Make terrorist no bomb am oo. It must be well secured. We need more of that nationwide |
MyVILLAGEpeople:Yes, apart from Muslims. |
MyVILLAGEpeople:They're the only tribe in the southern Nigeria who still keeps polygamous marriage tradition till date apart from Muslims. It's an age-long tradition among them. If you go to Ondo or ekiti state where they produce palm oil you'd see them and their wives living under same hut |
NaijaPrince18:When we are surrounded by opportunities but we can't utilise it, someone must take it so, don't blame them. We reason and think differently. This isn't only peculiar to Ibos. Chinese, Indians, Lebanese keep coming to Nigeria to utilize those plentiful opportunities which our people are too blind to see and earn a fortune. You can't beat Chinese on Logistics business in Nigeria today, especially from China to Nigeria. Our people used to complain that their goods wouldn't get here on time and Chinese decided to come and establish Logistics company here. See the pharmaceutical and other sector overtaken by Indians. If not for the smartness of some few Nigerians, they would have taken over our IT space as well. I remember when they first came with APTECH. I'd just advise the sentimental few among you to please begin to think outside of the box now. An ibo boy would come to the south west, learn a trade and become an oga, rent a shop and buy your house he's paying you rent on, with embarrassing amount of money, sack you and render you and your children homeless cos you'd soon lavish that money he paid you instead of investing it. You'd now be forced to live in atan-ota or Ifo in ogun state where land or houses are cheap. You caused it. When shinedu was learning his trade with one shirt and trousers, you didn't see him. When he became an oga, you didn't call one of your children to go and learn what he's doing and become somebody too. Before your very eyes, he's become a big boy and you're now asking him to leave your land...which land? Maybe that's why they call me ibo lol. I've learned a lot from these guys. I have lots of friends among them. Look at every street in lagos and count the number of hotels. Most of them are owned by ibos. Go to ajao Estate. What were we doing while they were occupying all these areas with our time? They saw opportunities near the airport and grabbed it. Not that we don't have money too. But we utilise it differently. It's never too late. Me I'm an advocate of oduduwa Republic. I know we are still playing as a nation. We'd go our separate ways someway. When we eventually split. We'd lag behind in some areas if care isn't taken, especially in trading. Truth is bitter. Enough said. |
Anukanbayi:Say it louder! A childhood friend is developing a solution for the future of Logistics in the United States as we speak. Someday, Bread seller wouldn't have to go to bakery to pick bread any longer, as the bakery owners too wouldn't need to interface with buyers to supply bread. Everything wouid be done online. You book your bread, all what the bakery needs is load the right amount of flour with other materials into the machine and programme it for mixing and baking, then go home or even travel for as long as he desires, The baking machine would do the baking after mixing and move the bread loaves to the secure dispatch section, based on the qty ordered by each bread seller. All you need is give a rider or courier the code given after payment which will be on your receipt. Once he gets there at the set or scheduled pick up time, he enters the code and the machine dispatches. He would now deliver to the breadseller, gets paid online and zooms off. The baker can programme all he needs to bake for a whole year. The breadseller can also track the rider's movement realtime and reports him, if he goes off route |
What government needs is provide an enabling environment for businesses to thrive. Hope to see similar strides soonest from other governors. Kudos to gov Otti |
Validated:Don't mind them. They got off on the wrong foot. In a collapsing economy, you didn't patronise local automobile manufacturers to build SUVs for our lawmakers in line with the spec needed . You wasted our money on Toyota Suv which were purchased at a highly inflated contract price. How do you promote local investments and save money in this case? We have the likes of GAC, innoson, etc. You want to grow like China but you can't do what China did. You packed your fellow corrupt friends in government including the appointment of key officers at the NASS. You can't expect results in all these. The military ruled for decades and patronised local automobile throughout. I remember the Peugeot 504 SR, GL, etc. Those were the people the likes of tinubu criticised in the 80s, not knowing he was fighting for his pocket |
They'd say this is also sponsored . Sadly, most of his supporters belong to the poorest of the poor, those who believe the government would do everything for them. The way Tinubu's government will disappoint them wouid teach them the lesson of their lives. Someone who achieved nothing, claiming he's the one who built Lagos. Buba Marwa who developed Alimosho and opened so many roads including the Ipaja-Ayobo and AIT roads would just be laughing at him during the last elections as he cornered his achievements to himself. Charity begins at home. His failure to win Lagos and his home state of Osun are a proof of his desperation and eventual failure. Anyone who says ebi npa ohun around me will receive my curse in full. I hope they learn their lesson in full |
It depends |
SETHARTHUR:I'm one and I can't even enter my daughter's room anyhow, talk less of touching her so inappropriately. This is irresponsible of a man I respect so much. You never can tell...charity begins at home. I've heard of fathers defiling their daughters here on NL. This video should be put down pls OP. |
Buhari came in 2015 and unleashed hardship on Nigerians. He said we should be patient with him as things would soon get better. He increased pump price the first time and Lai Muhammed said...change begins with us that we should endure. Nobody protested with the hope the change agenda would truly work. Tinubu was the party's national leader. As if that wasn't enough, he increased the price again and said our refineries would soon come on stream and nigerians should allow him spend 2bn usd to revamp the moribund refineries, under a TAM arrangement. Timipre silva came on air to beg . Nobody protested and today, it's change promax. Now Tinubu came under same party with his usual sweet mouth, with which he brought Buhari into power in 2015. He said subsidy is gone, floating of naira must take effect now...and we should endure the hardship while it lasts. He said the hardship is for a short while, after which things would get better .Dear Nigerians, shey won fi oogun de yin molę ni . We're so daft in this country sorry to say. The suffering will only continue. You got what you paid for so, enjoy it while it lasts.I do sincerely pray for a better and prosperous Nigeria but not under these liars playing opposition under same party, blaming the failure of buhari which they jointly inherited and contributed to, as the cause of the current situations. My concern is the innocent, who are paying the price of some people's stupidity. |
I beg you Tinubu's supporters, tell your arrogant leader not to attack peaceful protesters oooo. Ilu ko rogbo rara o, ita le gan oo. He should let the sleeping dog lie in peace and people protest in peace. Cos if he behaves same way he acted jau-jau on the Niger matter and the latter banned importation of cooking gas to Nigeria and their foods and cows are not allowed to enter Nigeria again, which had now snowballed into food crises and high cost of gas...the truth he failed to tell Nigerians, he won't be able to curtail people's anger oo. Not even the police or army can. He should remember the endsars days and apply wisdom into this. The reaction will be holistic this time around from all over the country. If Jonathan could permit him to stage protests and even supply police to protect him and buhari back then when things were far more better, he should do the same. It's in line with our constitution. Ilu le oo |
If anyone told me Nigeria would be like this, I would find it hard to believe. So tey we com dey advise ourselves on how to cope with hardship in the land that flows with milk and honey. Is this the renewed hope he promised his followers? I'm Just observing with peace of mind |
chidiokay:Government is a custodian of state and every aspect of it. If things get better, give kudos to the government in power, likewise if it goes the other way round. Bandits, armed robbers , kidnappers, ritualists, yahoo boys, name it...they had their way today cos government is a leader in all the vices we see and nobody is challenging them. If they can steal public money and get away with it 99% of the time, why won't citizens too find a way of behaving like them? Before buhari/idiagbon gained power in the 80s, what happened to the apc members which was caused by stampede over rice palliatives used to be the order of the day, at the bank, at bus stops, parks, in most places. But when buhari/idiagbon came, they introduced queuing. That's what you grew up to see. It never existed before them. If you still see places where they queue today, it was buhari/idiagbon who introduced it in 1983, though idiagbonwas the one in power. Buhari was a mere figurehead who lacked wisdom. The government of the day doesn't value life. They're worse than the pdp they once challenged. The proofs are there. They see people as mere animals and treat them as one. Those people didn't deserve to die if the activity was well coordinated. They can't challenge the police deployed to the venue, had they enforced queuing and conducted the whole thing in an organised way. When people go abroad, they behave well, even queue at airports cos they know the implications of breaking their rules. But when same people get here, they know govt is number one law breaker, they don't join queues. |
PARADIZEPRIEST:So primitive set of people |
nairavsdollars:It's so unfortunate. |
To manage people had become so difficult for these clueless set of people..they've succeeded in improving on all they've acussed the pdp of. I remember the NCS recruitment exercise stampede. Abba Moro was called all manner of names, as if the group who later became apc and a ruling party knew how to do it better. We have a lot of criminals in this country. Aba moro is still walking freely today |
Better. People can't just be keeping quiet in the face of unprecedented inflation and hunger |
Tinubu, the jau jau president the man who dwells and prevails on propaganda in lagos, com carry the mentality go Abuja. He arranged trucks along the Nigerian-Niger border and told Nigerians the reason for hunger in the land was because Nigerians were taking foodstuffs to Niger to sell. Whereas, the reverse is the case. Which food and from where? Benue, sokoto, zamfara, nasarawa or plateau that are no more farming cos of boko haram? Only ignorant believed this news, same way they believed the fake rice pyramids put in place in Abuja by the apc government as Nigeria rice, which was imported from Niger and the Ibikunle amosun rice pyramids which were built on sand in the innermost part The below are the facts on ground: Niger supplies a large percentage of our cows and animal consumption. Niger Republic supplies a large percentage of Nigeria's beans consumption Niger Republic is responsible for the supply of a large percentage of our vegetable consumption Niger Republic is responsible for the current cooking gas high cost. They contribute to a large percentage of our cooking gas supply in Nigeria. The moment Tinubu announced the sanctions amid naira flotation and the hurried removal of subsidy, Nigeria's lives have never remained the same cos Niger banned supply of cooking gas to Nigeria in retaliation. The FG now said they'd reduce our gas export to feed Nigerian Market. But can we cope? No! Nobody should ask me how or why. I read widely and I have business associates in Niger. The moment Niger Republic banned export of cooking gas to Nigeria following that sanction, my friend told me we will feel the hit sooner or later and sooner than later, Nigeria is feeling it already. 12.5kg of cooking gas is around 14k now. The below links say it all. I read about them also. https://www.theafricareport.com/321609/ghana-west-africa-food-security-concerns-rise-on-niger-sanctions https://businessday.ng/news/article/niger-bans-cooking-gas-exports-to-nigeria/?amp=1 Tinubu now realised the role played by Niger on foods and gas consumption in Nigeria as food crises had hit our dear country as seen in recent times...this is just the beginning. He now thought it wise to suspend the sanctions on the so-called humanitarian grounds instead of coming out clean that the reason was because Nigeria was dying of hunger. Did Niger Republic cry over hunger? Did they plead with him or ecowas to relax sanctions? There's so much food in Niger, wasting away...rice, beans, even animals like cow and goat that are nigeria-bound, cos of sanctions. A lot of these foodstuffs and animals come from as far as Burkina Faso. Tinubu heard of the Tri-state agreement with the 3 countries as they're no more sending ecowas as they want to remain independent. Then ecowas began shaking. With the Tri-state formation, they can sell foods to non ecowas nations, even across the continent. They'd become a strong bloc economically. Ecowas will suffer the loss. Every Niger maiguard in lagos is a big time farmer at home. Farming is like a carnival in Niger. When its time for farming, they all go home. Dear Nigerians, brace up for more challenge ahead. We must learn a lesson. |
Chrisrare:Tribalism, how? You're still dreaming guy. If Obi was a tribalist, we'd not have delivered Alimosho LGA, the largest local government in Nigeria in population and the largest settlement of yorubas in Lagos for Obi. Dey play ok? How far has the Omo ęni koni shedi bębęrę slogan and same faith ticket led you? All of you who voted along the tribalism line, how far today? See kettle calling pot black. Qe won't low that happen again, come 2027, even if you've not received enough lesson before then |
Crime is tribe-less, so are poverty and hunger. When people say vote right, e get why. See grandpa oo. |
Who else will join? The north and our people caused the wahala on ground and they're the ones protesting over hunger cos they feel Tinubu, who said he'd address hunger if elected into power has failed them. That's what you get when you put your whole trust in man and do his bidding. I rushed to read the message, thinking it was Pa Ayo Adebanjo who made that statement. Thank God he made his position clear from day one. Agba yin a dalę sir. Ęni a wi fun, oba ję o gbo. There's no name they didn't call us for discouraging them from threading on that dangerous path of tribalism and bigotry. |
