Wait as they call this Yunusa of a man ipob. After the February 2023 election, it will be so clear in their eyes that Labour Party is a truly national party. |
Good to be so recognised for your good deeds. This is reminiscent of my experience at DAAR Hall in Washington DC some years back on my recognition...the only invitee from the sub saharan Africa and Nigeria. Barack Obama was there to give us a pep ralk. It was a day I'd never forget |
This life...if only our politicians could fear God... |
Juniorpope123:I doubt Obi knew anything about this. There are lots of programs going on in every region which Peter Obi knows nothing about. He's the long-awaited hope |
Apcpdp is going nowhere. LP all the way . Apcpdp comprises same people who had run Nigeria down. Never again! |
Jakumo:I don't believe the potential crash in usd has anything to do with the redesign of naira. My position is, the CBN knows their game plans. Fx scarcity is deliberate |
Amaechi still dey apc? |
babayoahmadk:Didn't you hear what Oshiomohle said... when you said Peter Obi will be coming tomorrow, I was happy ![]() |
PoliteActivist:I know. It's temporary. The CBN is yet to intervene. Remember the governor said they'd intervene on fx soon? |
After reading some people's comments , I just dey laff. They don't seem to know the fact that the CBN knew what it was doing all along. They deliberately mopped up forex from banks , stopped disbursement of fx to bdcs expecially usd, reduced the SMEs wholesale and SMEs retail disbursement windows. Now, they'd reverse their policies and dollars would lose value against naira considerably. He who has ears,.let him hear. EFCC is also working in conjunction with the CBN so, the guy could be right but I doubt the 200 naira he quoted and i guess he knew it, which was why he said may. 465 or 500 is likely cos we were at that level early this year before the artificial scarcity was introduced by the cbn.. |
Pierocash:Talking like a typical Nigerian |
duro4chang:win nibo? Did you see what happened in Jos yesterday? Did baba's campaign witness that kind of stoning in 2015 and 2019 in the north? |
See as the stupid soldier was trying to twist the story despite the driver reiterating they were herdsmen. He was still saying armed robbers Na wah for these people oo. May God rescue the victims alive. |
GEEBITE:That's why I didn't believe the narrative. 500 naira is realistic enough. |
Moh247:I undestand your point but everybody can't keep going to cbn each time. Moreover, those 2 currencies you mentioned, including euro and yuan are valid for international trade. Naira isn't. This is another reason a domiciliary account will always be needed. What I expect the cbn to do is, formulating some conditions guiding operation of domiciliary account...if the money stays in your account for more than say, 6 months, you'd forfeit it once the account becomes dormant. I doubt they'd do this cos the government officials benefit even more by operating the domiciliary account |
Moh247:That policy can't work bro. What of those transacting business across the border? |
VULCAN:I don't believe you. Nigeria had always exported mainly crude and our naira had always been strengthened. Had we been exporting agriculture produce , naira would have become pretty more stable. Do you know what the cbn is planning right now? You'd be shocked . I won't say more than that but suffice it to say, I have an insider there. Why did you think dollar went up at the black market? The cbn stopped pumping doppar to save naira. They stopped giving out fx to bdcs completely. They reduced fx for wholesale and retail SMEs. Now, they want to reintroduce all those measures immediately after the redesigning of naira. Do you think there's no dollar? The cbn only mopped it up. Shock awaits many in coming days. Enough said. |
OdefaGirl:He may not be right on the hourly wage. In Chicago it was 12usd an hour, in cali, around that amount when I was there. Some states have upgraded now |
sukkot:My broda you don't want to blame them. There's no job in Nigeria but if they can think , they'd see legitimate work to do. With God's intervention cos this worked for me. I was once there for studies after which I came back. There's money here. All the infrastructure in America no be my papa own. I needed to build my own. Nigeria will be great, this I've seen and the greatness isn't in the hands of our desperate politicians wey don old finish |
NJyoruba12:How? |
Weirdcamila:The CBN knows what it's been doing all along by mopping up dollars from circulation and asking banks not to sell. There was a day I needed just 500 dollar and my bank said its not available. A whole branch oo, just 500usd. A few minutes later someone came to deposit 1k and I approached them at the counter. Guess what they said?...some people had been on queue before you came sir . Truly I saw them standing up from their seat. I eventually got only 300usd. They even mixed the denominations sef, 50usd and 100usd. Imagine. |
Prometheus666:It's 800 today but they'd soon scream. It will shock them. Nobody expected what happened last week. This is a risky adventure though business they say is a risk but you take the calculative ones. Today, efcc said dollar may crash to 200 naira which means, the CBN knows what its been doing by deliberately mopping up dollars all the while. DonNeon:Forget my guy, moni dey naija Anyone wey wan japa, good luck. I don school and work for there before I com home. I can only say, thanks to God today. They can't arrest that guy for any reason. It's his money. He's only being smart by doing the needful. People will beg to buy dollar in coming days. This I've seen. But leave them to say its a lie. Those hawking it will learn the hard way. People wey no go hear , no go ever hear, no matter what . |
Dollar will crash to 500 naira, though as of today, they're saying it will crash further to 200 naira which may not be possible. I predicted 500 naira. Before doubting thomases say its a lie, please read the below. It's still very hot like amala gbigbona from.the coffers of the EFCC. . Only the smart will do the needful. https://dailytrust.com/naira-redesign-dollar-may-crash-to-n200-efcc-chairman |
The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, has said the dollar might drop to ₦200 after the redesigning of naira.… Bawa stated this in an interview with Deutsche Welle (DW) Hausa service, saying President Muhammadu Buhari did well to approve the redesigning He said, “The law says the redesigning of Naira notes should be done every eight years but we spent 20 years without any changes on them. And that resulted to 85 per cent of money are in circulation not in banks, when CBN came up with this redesigning, dollar moved to 880 and later dropped to 680 or thereabouts. “So you see with this redesigning dollar may massively fall, who knows probably to ₦200.” The EFCC chair also said there is no any political motive behind the idea and called on Nigerians to report any person with siphoned monies. “There is no political motive in this; some people siphoned and hid public funds that is why we want them to bring them out and nobody says they should not bring them, what government says is let them deposit such money in banks. “We assure Nigerians that we are always ready to receive reports of any person with suspicious hidden money and if investigated to be true, we will give 5 per cent of the money to them,” he added. https://dailytrust.com/naira-redesign-dollar-may-crash-to-n200-efcc-chairman

Opolopoopolonio:Oniro ni ę . I watched it on channels TV tonight where people were hurling big stones at one another in the crowd. Apc leaders were heard shouting yi ankuri, dan allah. Go to channel's TV website and watch |
I watched it on channels TV. No be small stones fa. Big-big stones oo. Someone was head shouting...yi ankuri, dan allah ![]() Evil no get 2 names...na still evil. How jos people would suddenly forget their massacred relations and rush to the polls amd cast their votes for the apc is still what I can't fathom |
May she find a job, amen. Na d koko be dat |
The ailing presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has again caused a stir online after he almost said 'God Bless PDP.' The Peoples Democratic Party is an opposition party whose presidential candidate is former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar. While speaking at the APC presidential campaign flag-off held Tuesday at the Rawang Pam Township Stadium in Jos, Plateau State, Tinubu who wanted to say ‘God bless APC’ committed a blunder as he ended up saying ‘God bless PD” before correcting himself. "God bless Nigeria, God bless PD, APC," he said. intended recommendation was to have fifty thousand (50,000) youths recruited into various national security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigerian Army. “Asiwaju seeks the expansion of security personnel by 50,000 for the armed forces, not the 50 million that was mentioned in error. It was an accidental verbal mistake of which we all commit from time to time, especially when reciting a series of large numerical figures. “He did not mean 50 million, which is almost a quarter of our total population. “The crucial matter is that Asiwaju rightly observed that such strong recruitment would serve the twin-purpose of helping to tackle unemployment while at the same time enhancing the security of every Nigerian. “Please forgive any confusion due to this innocent error. The most vital thing is that he set forth a wise and timely approach that would help us face two of today’s stiffest challenges. “It is in the spirit that we hope you view and assess his proposal for it seeks to provide a way for more youths to participate in building a greater, safer, and more prosperous country,” Rahman’s communique read in part.
