That's their last resort...to be burning inec offices where there are uncillected pvcs. Any serious minded Nigerian would begin to visit the inec office nearest to them and collect their pvcs now. These people don't mean well for the masses. You can't force yourself on the people naw.

I urge everyone to go pick up their pvcs in their respective states ASAP. Students who registered during strike are back in school so, the arsonists knew what they did. But they've failed. Students would soon be on holiday and pick up their pvcs. Army, police and DSS... please shoot at sight....anyone you see close to the inec offices nationwide who arent staff of inec.

(Because failure to remove subsidy for decades is why we have this issue...and it has been there for years).

The smuggling is not caused by failure to put right people in government...it is caused by the fact that fuel cost N170 here, and N400 in our neighbours....a difference that has been there for years (in 2015, it was N87 here and N115 elsewhere.). A lot of wise people...from the big to the small...did da math.

I've always been in support of the subsidy removal. Not only will it chrck the fraud in subsidy payment. It would also brong about transparency in the sector to a reasonable extent.

However, I still maintain, with the square peg in the square hole, the nonsense will stop. Even with the removal of subsidy, we'd still be selling at a lower price compared to the price at which our neighbour is selling and cross border smuggling wouldn't stop as a result, except the fundamental cause is removed.

And it will continue, not because of the mallams...but because petrol costs N178 here, N350 black market...and N400 and above in all our neighbours, including Ghana, where it costs above N600.

Even if customs tries to stop it, the geng smuggling fuel will just arm themselves, and shoot their way through. The profits are too tasty to pass up.

Note that it isn't just big tankers...small time boys are in this business too.

Note that governments have tried everything...close the border, put more guards, remove filling stations from operating close to the border...nothing works.

But anytime any government...tells you that subsidy has to go...you guys will scream poverty. The truth is, so long as we keep fuel cheap here, smuggling is going to continue.

It's because we've not had a sensible leader yet. Nothing is impossible. Obi said those who engage in bunkering were government officials...he was right afterall with the mind-boggling discoveries that followed. Were those people in govt sleeping before Obi bursted their bubbles? Put the right people in right places and all the nonsense will stop.

The officer who arrested him,.if well investigated, must be a mallam. They're out to destiny this country. He'd just retire and vy for a governorship position in his state after making so much money from smuggling like Atiku. Guy, in your best interest, sell oo. Are you aware inflation has dropped in the USA right now? Pounds and euro have also appreciated . Most currencies are appreciating against dollar already and naira isn't left out in the game. Today, I bought dollar at 725. Yesterday it was 775. See the difference. We don't know what it would be tomorrow...maybe 700 or less. I'm the happiest man at this moment cos I borrowed thousands of usd to execute a job and pay back time don reach. I almost collapsed 3 weeks ago na God save me. God is good
