These web of subsidiaries feed the IVM with locally made parts in the production of their vehicles. They get their cables from Cortix Ltd (the No1 of its kind in Nigeria), etc...The company claims that as high as 70% of their requirements at IVM is met locally with the exception of the engines and transmission assembly which are outsourced to Mitsubishi (or so). You are a witness to the fact that the IVM was able to reverse-engineer the brake assembly of the alpha jet in the NAF inventory (how could a 'rebadging company' pull off that feet?). Though the IVM commenced operation in 1995 as a vehicle assembly company, it however veered into manufacturing in the year 2009. If you guys had any shame at all, you should have been happy that a private individual had the temerity to go into the world of automobile manufacturing in Nigeria; in view of the fact that a Nigeria of roughly 180M heads could not even run Steyr in Bauchi, PAN in Kaduna, Volks wagen in Lagos and ANAMMCO in the east. If Nigeria had been able to run the ASC in Ajaokuta would the IVM not be making its engines? No, guys like you ran the GAZPROM-built Ajaokuta steel complex aground; same to the Booker McConnell-built Nigerian Sugar Company in Bacita; the Jebba Paper Mills in Jebba and a host of others. At a time as this, where a foreign government has demonstrated unusual confidence in the production process at IVM by placing an order for 400+ vehicles, myopic guys like you are hell-bent on condemning us to further slavery to Euro-Asian/American economies through their MB, Honda, Hyundai, Toyota, Ford etc...You guys should be rounded up and SHOT for treason and subterfuge!

so people should be shot because they dare to call out your copycat manufacturer? let them come up with their own design or at least modify the generic design they bought from a little known Chinese auto maker to give a unique identity that befits a brand.

holden is a subsidiary of general motors, same with Vauxhall in till recently, so they are basically same.

Edited: I want Innoson office to come out with a written statement to debunk this propaganda. Someone close to the company just told me that they share the same design with that company WITH PERMISSION however the Innoson 4x4 Carrier is manufactured in Nigeria with few imported interior parts as do all automobile manufacturers around the world.
