Hope you understand that if Fashola fails today, its not just him but the Buhahi government that has failed...
If the seat of the president makes a decision, the then president is rather not held responsible as an individual when he leave office but continues suit... Therefore, if Fashola feels the policy is no longer viable, he and the present seating president ought to work it out rather...
NB: How you choose your words and how one understands them matters anyway... I don't think you rather didn't understand where mine were going to... OK lemme c if I understand u so that we can be on the same page, you are saying that since he took the decision under GEJs tenure GEJ by extension should be liable for his decision. if that is correct then let me remind u that the act setting up nerc gives it a certain level of independence in decision making and its decisions do not necessarily need to be approved by the prez. the former nerx chair gave details of how decisions are reaches and it is collectively done by all nerc commissioners not just him alone. |

ayodele234: What is the argument here? The living standard or which country is richer? The Nigerian economy is bigger than the UAE in nominally GDP. When converted in purchasing power parity, Nigerian economy is over a 1.2 trillion dollars while that of UAE is just 600 billion dollars. What most here don't know is that before 2060 Nigeria economy will be bigger than that of Canada, United Kingdom, France, South Korea and almost 98% of Western Europe. You all go and do your research and come back to me. The question now is that can we march it with infrastructural development? GDP only points to the size of the economy it does not reflect the standard of living. Nigerian GDP is bigger than south Africa's but sa is far more developed. by virtue of Nigerian population it is expected to have a large GDP. |

Watch how brainwashed and demented Christians followers will litter this thread and start chanting revenge and all brands of garbage
I really dont care about what Danjuma is saying. But the truth is any Christian that is surprised about all these happenings is just a church goer. He never read his Bible
Jesus told us that we must receive persecution here on earth. Its part of our crosses as Christians. The Apostles of old faced tougher ones too. So we need to fight back, not with earthly weapons, because we wrestle not against flesh and blood
So, any Oyedepo or Suleiman asking you to kill Fulani herdsmen is just speaking for the devil. Jesus will never do such so a gulani herdsman comes to ur house or farm, rapes and kills your people and your response will be to what?? pray? are u aware that the Israelites fought wars against their enemies in the Bible? |

Oxenomy: Obansanjo placed embargo on Ibeto Cement from 1999 to 2007 where as he allowed Dangote as sole importer of cement within same period.. If that is not monopoly, I wonder what it is.. Before 1999, Dangote is nobody compared to Ibeto as far cement business is concerned. that was because ibeto was using his licence to export rather open a factory to manufacture cement as was originally intended that was why his licence was suspended. |

I know for sure that in the cement industry he was given licence along the several other persons to open factories but rather than open factories some of the others started importing until govt step in. also he has started building a refinery now but are u you aware that before now more than 9 licences to build refineries have been given out but those people did not build refineries rather they import petroleum products by the guy time he completes the refinery now people will start shouting monopoly, where is the monopoly. |

farouk0403: Why is it that northerners don't usually embark on this dangerous journey, it is only southerners and north is more proximate to Niger republic. the truth is that the average southern youth often has more drive to succeed than the average northern youth, this drive sometimes leads to undesirable conducts like the one we are currently discussing. this drive also accounts for the wave of migration by southern youths to various countries, northern youths are not very much into migration, most times migration for them entails just leaving kano or their home state in the north and coming down south to look for menial jobs. |

gozzlin: Idiots. That's what all these people who travel through the Sahara desert are. What kinda condition in Nigeria will compel a supposedly sane human being to elect to travel to Europe through the Sahara desert, despite all the perils associated with such a journey and the tales of sorrow emanating from such journeys which we hear daily on the news?
Some people are hopelessly stupid and beyond redemption. They will never listen to wise counsel. They only learn their bitter lesson and become sober after they have gone through the harrowing experience first-hand. This m0ron featured in this story even had a job as a nurse in Nigeria, yet chose to make the ill-fated trip to Europe through the Sahara desert in search of a better life that has eluded most Africans in Europe. Those in Europe have realized it is all a Mirage and are coming home, while those here are desperate to get there. Africans are just the most dim-witted class of humans created by God.
Go home fool and sin no more as in eh there are lots of folks in Europe who can barely survive and most of the folks struggling to go over don't ever believe when told. |
