Education / Re: NUC Approves Doctor Of Pharmacy Degree by Eronmosele(m): 8:20am On Sep 17, 2016
Gozzzy:

you nearly made sense, but ur opening gambit was a complete rubbish!!! Pharmacists don't diagnose and treat... every profession has its job description... The pharmacists should be concerned with manufacturing and dispensing drugs, while the Medical Doctor is concerned with diagnosing and telling the pharmacist the drugs the Doctor need for treatment of the patient, which is dispensed by the pharmacist!!!! that's the practice, world over!!! Its only in Nigeria that a court clerk would fight to preside over a case, and ask a judge what the judge can do, that he the clerk can't do!!!! Nigeria is professionally messed up!!!! We don't give a flying fvck if they answer Doctors, but we give a supersonically flying fvck if they go beyond the ambits of their profession and encroach into ours!!!!
Are you joking or what? do you know that if a patient dies due to a wrong prescription by a doctor, (and this is very common in Nigeria and around the world), the pharmacist is liable by law because he/she did not identify the incompatibility or inappropriate dose? Do you honestly think it takes 5-6years just to learn how to dispense medication? And if there is any chance that you are expressing this sentiment because you are a doctor, then I must add that your use of swear words is not befitting of a professional. Please do something about it. It tells much about the quality of a person you are. You can express yourself without flying anywhere.

I am still of the opinion that religion should be practiced in your church and mosque but not in the public place like schools and national affairs . This religious factor is taking us way, way back and a nation that want to move forward will do away with religion in the public places. Come to think of it, in which way has the two religion help us to develop, no way. Instead it has impoverished nigeria the more, has Angel Fela Anikulapo sang, " My people them go dey follow Bishop
Them go follow Pope
Them go follow Imam
Them go go for London
Them go go for Rome
Them go go for Mecca
Them go carry all the money
Them go juba Bishop
Juba Pope
Juba Imam
Then them go start to yab themselves"
If all the landed properties acquired by the Christian and moslem is put into manufacturing industries by now poverty should be a thing of the past in this country, look at individual pastor and Imam amassing wealth out of the congregation. It is high time we re fashioned our way of life for the progress of this nation. Please, don't abuse me because I don't think the way you think.
Anyone who abuses you for expressing your opinion is pathetic and unfortunate. What you have contributed in my opinion too is just perfect and I have been saying the same too for years to all who care to listen. 'Religion' as it is practiced in Nigeria so far has been no use. I don't know how to put this in a few words, I take my time to contribute just like you did. I am not an atheist or agnostic. I believe in one God who created the heavens and the earth and the beauty we see all around. But can you explain to me how the worlds most religious country is also one of the world's most corrupt? Why cant we just understand this? Why?!! It even gets worse when fanatics or extremists of a particularly religion are known globally for violence, intolerance and terrorism! It is a menace to society and a threat to civil co-existence and even the western world that foolishly opened their doors through ignorance, godlessness and lassitude are already reaping the rewards. Ask France. I assure you , UK is next.

Why does wearing hijab by Muslim woman affect Christians? Do you people want our sister to go around half naked like your very own sister who are causing nuisance in our society? Bunch of hypocrites and intolerant.
Don't deceive yourself with these outward show. When I was a teenager many years ago, My uncle who was then an ardent muslim (now a pastor) had these hijab wearing girls come regularly to his room for sex. And I mean regularly! They will come fully covered in fact some of them came ninja style, even eyes covered, socks and gloves! I wondered how he identified them. After the whole show, they will put on the hijab and go out. I know, if others don't know. I am not moved by these things. Only God that sees the heart knows who is truly seeking Him in truth.

That's a blatant lie and I'm quite sure you know it. There are plenty Hausa Christians and I mean PLENTY! I'm not talking southern Kaduna, I am not as ignorant on this matter as the average southerner who thinks everyone in the north is Hausa. I have spent over 4 decades (birth and continuous stay) in Zaria and I have many of them for friends. They are such lovely and comely people and of course they are heavily marginalized and persecuted. Ordinarily I would not comment on deceit like this but because knowing what social media is, someone else will read and take the false information for a fact and start spreading his own brand of deceit. Apart from the Christian Hausa there are also the Hausa called Maguzawa which funny enough actually means, 'those that run away from Islam'. All Hausas were 'Maguzawa' in a sense before the coming of Islam. The Maguzawas are currently found in Kaduna, Katsina and Kano states. Don't take my word for it, do a little research online, google Maguzawa and see what comes up. Its that simple. As a final word of advice, please I encourage everyone not to rely wholly on information from social media without doing some little research, this is very important, too much false information here.

In descending order of recentness:

Slot, Mayfair, Ife:

A lecturer of mine saw my recently purchase Tecno Droidpad and wanted to purchase exactly the same device. He went to slot & bought the device without my knowledge. Unfortunately for him, the tablet he bought had some kind of factory defect that made it undetectable by USB ports especially USB 2.0 ports.
We went back to slot together to lodge a complaint but we were not well attended to at all. Infact the presence of a man of international repute, over 65 years old did not give those ill-mannered girls at slot a molecule of sense. They were very rude. Ultimately, nothing reasonable was done & my lecturer is still 'managing' the tablet that way till date.

Slot, Muritala Mohammed way, Ilorin:
These ones sold a windows phone under the guise of Android to my Aunt fraudulently by installing a 3rd party application to give the phone an Android look. I later got to know the phone had Android support anyway. Again the sales representatives were very rude.

Slot, Osogbo:
I went there for an enquiry during National Youth Service a few years back. Just plain rude.

The management of slot needs to teach their employees how to relate with customers or they will lose a great chunk of them.
Personally, I don't think I'll ever buy anything from them anymore.
They have lost me already. There is hardly anything I hate the most than to be cheated! So I hereby add Slot to my list of no go areas. You will also not find me at Amigo Supermarket or Wonderland amusement park (there is nothing amusing about a Hezbollah terrorist linkage) or whatever their new names are! I will not fund terrorism. I have not forgotten!

I read your comment several times trying to make sense of your position on FFK's article. Don't you know that wisdom can come from anywhere? The question you should be asking yourself is whether what this 'mad man' is saying is actually true. If a house is on fire, is it wrong to raise an alarm or to draw the attention of the fire service? Can you deny that what he has stated in his article is a true reflection of the current happenings in Nigeria? I am not a fan of FFK but I can identify logic and common sense when I see it. So its not a matter of praying a useless prayer that FFK should not know peace, your house is on fire and FFK is in his own way blowing the alarm and you are saying he would not know peace? Can you see why we are were we are as a nation? I don't like FFK, but in this matter, he has spoken well. Have you ever wondered? You see a Fulani man strolling freely on the highway with an AK 47!! Later, some useless men will say that rape occurs because girls dress indecently.
The things God will judge too plenty!
[/size]

THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR RAPE!.. There might be motives/reasons but no justification!!!!
iF a girl or guy is dressed provocatively and flaunting her tits and ass or abs and you feel aroused, please look away.
Even the bible charged us to look away from anything that would make us sin!!

THERE IS
NO JUSTIFICATION
ONLy mentally disturbed people commit rape.
I don't know how to put this to you but I will try and hope you understand my differing opinion on the matter. Truth be told, there is no excuse and moral justification for rape. But when you talk about the 'look the other way' approach, its appears you have chosen the most impractical approach. I will give you a real life scenario. This morning, I had to travel by road outside Abuja and left my house a few minutes past five in the morning to be able to make a 4 hour trip. Outside my estate is a long untarred road with block industries and batchers to the left and right of the road. You would not believe that I saw a young lady with earphones on doing her jogging routine alone out in the dark!! And I said to myself out loud in the car, 'what madness is this? The same applies to indecent dressing. Don't say, 'look the other way!' to potential rapists who are present in virtually every society, without addressing the increasing reality of the public nuisance we see in nudity and indecent dressing. I beg you, If you have sisters, aunts or female friends, be more proactive in advising them to dress decently. Decent dressing is simple. Do not expose your breasts or cleavage! Those are private sexually suggestive body areas. Do not wear tight body hugging clothes that reveal contours and shapes etc. How simple can this be? I am absolutely certain you have keys or padlocks at your residence. I wonder why? Shouldn't the thieves or robbers just look the other way? But no, that's not the way. You have taken steps on your part to make it difficult to be robbed by choosing where to stay carefully and putting in place appropriate security systems (this is synonymous to dressing decently).
Summarily, It is not a good thing to say that people (and its not just men that hold this opinion!) who think indecent dressing is a cause of rape, are useless. It is indeed a matter to consider. Call rapists whatever you wish to, I even call them goats sometimes out of annoyance! But then hypothetically speaking if you had a barn and you used a goat as the security man (or should I say security goat) no one will sympathize with you when your yam gets eaten up. If there is no combustible material, there would be no fire. Do not rule it out, indecent dressing is a major factor.

I have driven 3 models of Honda accord from 1998 till date without having the pull out. Would you say i am lucky?

I have seen Toyota Tacoma twice, 4runner thrice, others are MBenz, VW Golf, Peugeot 807 uncountable times. As a matter of fact i went to charter a car for a trip a very good 807 was offered and i refused because of this problem. Honda atleast doesnt happen on high speed but Peugeot does strictly on high speed.

Search the net for the leg pull out, and you will see cars you thought were perfect.

Most of our Honda are American models, how come the problem isnt a problem in US or Canada where they come from?
Thank you for your comment. I respect it and even though it differs from mine but considering its been your experience, I take it noteworthy. But my experience differs from yours though. The honda we sent to our mum had this problem after only three months of use. It was very embarrassing for her to experience because she did not even know what it was. She has been driving for almost 4 decades now but this was her first Honda. From my own experience I could say you have been lucky. Note that I didn't say its a problem exclusive to hondas, I only mentioned that I have encountered the problem by far in excess with various honda models. Or maybe in your observation I should say I have been unlucky? I don't know.

A natural reaction time was not sufficient to have an effective braking. Someone mentioned on top and i agree, we need to learn to give some space between ourselves and the car in front to allow reaction time and sometimes to be able to see the obstacle in front of the cars in front.

Ken4Christ:

Yes, it is true that when you pay more than 10%, it is no longer tithe. But that is what should be encouraged. We are not practicing the Law of Moses because we are not under the law. But how many people are really willing to give more than 10%? That is why I think most Pastors just decide to stick with the expected minimum which is 10%. Remember, God loves a cheerful giver. The bible encourages us to sow bountifully. Anything less than 10% in my opinion is not a bountiful giving. Government of many nations collect tax as high as 40% of their income to build and maintain infrastructures and I have never heard about workers protesting or anyone attacking these governments. Why should we be attacking 10% that people give to build his church that is giving life to a dying world?
No one will count you a sinner if you do not tithe but you will be seen as one if you do not give a proportionate amount of your income to God which should not be less than 10%. It is commonsense. If the saints of old were require to give 10% of their increase to sustain the workers in the church and other logistics purpose, why should the new creation in Christ do less especially when we know the importance of money to the spread of the gospel?
Thank you Ken for taking out time to write. I read every word in your response and I respect your position. However I disagree with you on some counts. It is quite obvious that what is encouraged from reading the new testament is that the believer is expected to give willingly as he has so proposed in his heart to give. Throughout the new testament there is absolutely no stipulation with respect to proportion that predetermines how much a believer is to give. What I see is a conflict - the new testament believer bound by strings which proceed from the law of Moses or from the old covenant. It has become the major motivation for breakouts and new church founding and member poaching prevalent in our setting which I am sure you can attest to. For a long time, I had reasoned just like you do on the need for money to spread the gospel but for lack of a scriptural basis for this statement, I have long discarded the notion. If the templates we are following for church planting are such as we saw in the new testament, then I think we might have exaggerated the relevance of money in spreading the gospel. Can you in all good conscience say that the tithe you pay is for propagating the gospel? or is it rather for the procurement of advanced air conditioning systems to cool our auditoriums where we sit in relaxation while souls are perishing with wanton abandon? is it not the money that is used to fund the extravagant lifestyle of the people who are supposed to be gospel bearers, erroneously demonstrating to the world that Christianity is as mundane as is materialism and financial gain. We are continuously being conditioned to set our affection on the things of this world contrary to the expectation of scripture. What is even more suspicious about the practice of tithing is the fact that it is a recent practice introduced as recently as in the 18th century. The early Christians did not tithe. I give and participate in church missions but I don't tithe because I am unable to see where in scripture I am in grace required to do so. I cannot be in law and grace at the same time. I give freely and willingly.
