banky222:I thought 'Obotor' describes a snake of the python family (i.e Esan?) From the descriptions I get from those who actually ate it growing up in the village, I think it describes a constrictor rather than a viper. Not sure though, my largest regret till this day, I wish i could speak my language better. |
elshanAutos:This problem is extremely rare with Toyota and Nissan vehicles. It's most common with Honda. Just ask anyone who has driven a Honda for sometime. Just this morning I saw another Honda like that at the gate of my estate. If you count one Toyota with this problem them you would have counted a hundred plus Honda's! This is the frank truth everyone knows. IT IS A HONDA PROBLEM! |
emperorchedda:Who told you the goat won't digest? That's how pythons and other constrictors feed. Even the horn and hide cannot stand the extremely acidic gastric juice of that reptile. With that meal it can stay for months without feeding. I recommend National Geographic for you. And you have 20likes?wow! For this misinformation? Na wa O! |
Omexonomy:What are you saying? |
uchwar1:You are right I suppose. I just tried to explain some realities to the fellow. This tribalism will take us no where. That the Ibo man is gifted towards production and enterprise does not make him better! Every tribe and by extension everyone has a gifting and should grow it! This is pure inferiority complex. |
DaBullIT:The sooner we stopped all this tribalism the better for us O! It is very obvious that the Ibo's are way ahead in terms of producing those items the OP talked about. For Pete sake that's why you hear of the phrase "Aba made". I am not Ibo let me say before another tribalistic individual would quote me out of context. The OP did not say they produce leather in Aba now! Read well. Everybody knows hide is mostly from the cattle in the north. The OP is talking about goods produced from leather. Did you get the difference now? I'm not just saying! I have been to the Ariaria international shoe market in Aba myself. That was in 2010. You would be amazed at what you would see there! Those guys can fabricate a shoe for you in under an hour! Just tell them what you want. And it's not just about who makes what. These guys not only produce but control the economics in terms of distribution, sales, etc. I'm not saying there is no leatherwork in the north O! I have used a wallet made in Zaria. Every tribe has something to contribute, yours might not be manufacturing, it doesn't make the Ibo man better than you. Identify your own too and grow it. The Ibo's have that natural gifting from God I believe. Let's stop arguing the obvious. |
UrbanMystique:You just invented a new word O! It's not disflower but deflower abi? |
kokoA:Of course it is! Take a close look at those boys. They are definitely children of wealthy or elite parents! And please for Pete sake why is that fresh boy not wearing shoes now? We are not small children now? |
I found it very tasking reading your article. You mixed up your tenses so much so that you left me confused most of the time as to what message you were trying to pass across. I understand you made an attempt at narrating but you would need to do a much better job next time. |
I think it's really a laudable work. It's a great conservation effort. Those bottles would have found their ways into the water ways, roads etc and constitute a major environmental pollutant. |
raker300:This is excellent. Keep it up! One thing I love the igbos for, an extremely resilient and hardworking people. Good job!! |
busomma:Science does not have all the answers O. There are still a lot of mysteries unanswered. I'm a Christian, I don't tithe because I'm yet to see where my Bible tells me to in the new covenant. I support the church financially in other ways. Finally I am a medic and have worked several years in clinical practice at the tertiary level. I have indeed seen a few cases like this. They are very rare but true. One of the cases even happened to another clinician! The child was born with full teeth set, fully developed hair and terribly scaly skin after spending two and a half years in the womb! It's still a mystery till today. Please don't let science define your boundaries. A lot of the answers science has propounded in the past keep changing, nothing is absolutely certain, there is more than meets the eyes. |
skywalker240:You are a wise one. I wish you success then. Make this year 2016 a good one for both of you. |
Karlovich:Let's stop this. It's not good to refer to your president in such remarks. I don't believe he has a low IQ. I did not insult GEJ and his wife either. It is my personal belief that to insult an adult like this is counter productive and yields no good. How would you feel if I called you daft? For example cattle is already plural what is 'cattles'? How would you feel if I went further to question your educational qualifications? Or to claim that because of this error it's likely you cheated in your WAEC to pass English? It would all be baseless. Im not for APC or PDP or any other party. |
skywalker240:We are talking wife and you are talking GF. Make a commitment and marry that woman then come and give your contribution. |
Which hospital be that one now? Can't the OP do a little research to give credibility to his post? That's a terrible mistake! As for the boy. I'm totally distraught. Such a terrible thing to happen. |
pesty100:I've learnt a lot in this life. You would be surprised. The issue looks really minor but the manner of approach is really all that matters. How did you respond to the lecturers inquiry? Your report does not sound complete at all. It's also possible that you have 'committed ' before this incident. So with this one is like your cup don full. Please don't tell us what happened, tell us really what has been happening. |

bashsani:Do I sound like a joke to you? Do you know who the Holy Spirit is? You speak of what you know nothing of and yet with such arrogance. I have nothing more to say to you. I have indeed said all I should. If someone said he found controversies in the Bible, get a bible and read it yourself see the context and applications and then you will see clearly. I have followed a lot of those so called controversies and it's a shame. The length people go to see what is not there. Read for yourself. You are free to comment on but on my final note I still want to emphasize, if all that Parisbookaddict wrote about your prophet as recorded in the Koran is true, then if you are a decent human being, you would agree with me that your prophet is not worthy of emulation. The world would be such a terrible place with more like him. God has blessed me with children. God forbid that any of my son's wives be sexually attractive to me! God forbid! God forbid that I would look upon a child with sexual intent! Oh! God forbid!! That kind of insanity uncommon even in the animal kingdom. God forbid! You should even be ashamed of yourself. If I must then I will follow that Prophet of whom is recorded no sin. I am proud of the kind of life Jesus lived. |
bashsani:It is unnecessary to learn Hebrew or Greek or Latin to be able to understand what God has spoken through the mouth of His prophets. (Even though I have access to copies of these original texts and sometimes during Bible study I refer to them for clarity.) God created all languages. None is special above the other. Know also that a translation is not necessarily a distortion but an attempt to present information in such a way that the language communication barrier is overcome. It is not the intention in translation to distort or deceive. As civilizations come and go, even language itself tends to evolve, it becomes difficult to truly understand certain texts with contextual meanings and proverbs. Today we have bibles written in Nigerian languages! So when you say concoction, well again that's what you have been told. You have no proof and you have been careless enough to accept it as fact without personal investigation. God speaks all languages. He speaks mine fluently! I don't need to speak a particular language for Him to understand me. If that is how you have reduced your God then it's really unfortunate. I don't believe that any other book outside of the Holy Bible, is the Word of God. It is the original, the first. It has been quizzed by scholars, proven true by science. Archeologists and historians have been guided to ancient ruins by studying the bible. I have been privileged to visit the Holy Land of Israel, I've seen things for myself. Countless prophecies have been fulfilled and are being fulfilled. It contains a most wonderful message of truth. The message of salvation and redemption and restoration. There is healing and deliverance and victory over sin all contained therein. I hope you have a bible? Read it! Many have done so in order to find controversies only to discover truth and liberation. |
bashsani:I speak with Bashsani because unlike most others of his lot, he seems to answer with some decorum. Otherwise I don't usually waste my time for these kind of things. There is an old and new testament. That's what I know. Complement? Your book contradicts the new testament in many ways you should know. Jesus was very clear about whom He would be sending after Him. It's definitely not your prophet because he failed the basic test, he is dead and buried. The Spirit of God whom Jesus promised to send after Him has been with us since the day of Pentecost in the book of Acts. Your final testament does not exist. The new testament is complete as it is. When Jesus died on the cross according to the will of Almighty God He said "it is finished!" as He breathed His last. Of course all these are edited out of your book and you are told again that the Bible we have today is not original. You forget that we still have the original ancient texts and manuscripts with us delicately preserved. And about popularity of the books, I will leave you to statistics and Google. The Koran does not even come close to the Bible in terms of popularity, best selling and distribution statistics. This is not disputable please check your statistics very well as this is a well known fact. When you say things like this it negatively affects the credibility of the other statements you have made. |
tartar9:He actually did. Feel free go ahead and join the others who have read and are doing according as they have read. There are many groups, all Islamic in origin you can pick from. Go ahead, rape, kill, maim in God's name. |
bashsani:I totally understand what you mean. My point is still valid. That's what you are told by the Koran isn't it? And it's your choice to believe the authenticity of the Koran above books like the Bible that came before it. You have no evidence except that you have chosen by faith to belive the book just like I have absolutely faith in my Bible as God's holy word. We were not there when these books were written many years ago. Thank you for your useful contribution. |
bashsani:That's what you are told. You are not learned. The fear is that you might discover the truth if you investigate. I challenge you to verify the authenticity of what you have been taught. |
bashsani:That's what you are told. |
mulattoclaro:Meanwhile you have dodged the issue. Igbo people are funny? Seriously? That's what you can come up with? Failed actor? If you want to be taken seriously, next time make a little effort to engage your intelect, I sincerely believe you are smarter than this. |
bashsani:It's because you don't understand why Jesus came in the first place. He came to die for the sins of the world according to the will of God. He was crucified, he died and rose again on the third day still according to the will of God. He carried my sin and yours to that cross and paid the ultimate price so that you and I can have access to God. So that He might reestablish a relationship with God which was cut off because of original sin in the garden. A book comes over 500 years after to teach without proof that it is a lie and you believed. I think the pattern is simple. The original comes first and then the counterfeits come afterward. So many other religions have books which are still basically twisted texts from the Bible. |
bashsani:Can you boldly tell me based on what your book teaches that Isa was with sin? So that we can now know what the problem really is. Plus I hope you have visited the website? http://www.islam-101.org. Your prophet is dead and buried awaiting judgement. Isa is glorified in heaven as we speak, and not according to the Bible but the Koran. Surely there has to be more to this prophet O. In your book he is described also as the messiah. |
geesilver:That's not his problem. It's yours. |
bashsani:He was faultless, without sin. Sura 19:19. To all the other prophets including Muhammed was accorded sin but never Isa. The Hadith also records that Jesus was sinless. Muhammad himself believed this! It is recorded in Sahih Muslim (Vol 4, pg 1261): Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (saw) as saying: The satan touches every son of Adam on the day when his mother gives birth to him with the exception of Mary and her son. And there is a lot more! http://www.islam-101.org |
clefstone:The thing tire me O! You see them breathing fire and foaming like an epileptic patient simply because someone expressed a contrary opinion to what they have been taught in the Islamic school. I have met them one on one and here on NL. Some of them have become Christians. Me I no send vex O, I talk it as it is and ask my questions as they come. OK. See those points parisbookaddict raised, did you notice that no Muslim here has said they are untrue? They just say you don't understand. What's there to understand? We are talking about the kind of life someone lived! So fresh question; how the hell can one say he belongs to a religion with a prophet of such a reputation? So he actually did those things and yet has followers! I can't explain this, it's baffling. And yet the same book they read speaks of another prophet Isa, who was described as sinless. Would a holy God send such a prophet with his message? Na question I ask O! |
uwajeh:Uwajeh thank you. God bless your brain even more to continue to talk sense! We must learn to live with our differences. |

its gradual process sir.
