Thanks for the swift response, you have an idea how I can go about it... I plan to submit application by Friday... So I can start planning towards it.
After you submit your application, ircc will send you instruction letter for biometrics anytime. It may take few weeks or months depending.
When you get your instruction letter, book an appointment with any Canada VFS in any country you are and follow instructions on how to complete it as you would if you were in your COR.

Please how did it take for you to do your biometrics capture? I am really confused, I am traveling outside Nigeria and will only be able to return in 3months(job probation period)... I only have 2weeks from today.. Can biometrics be done in a different country? My wife is the primary applicant and did her biometrics previously while processing study permit
Yes Biometrics can be done in any country regardless.

Yes once many people begin to see it as a shortcut and act on the loophole, some will definitely pay for it. It can be like MMM, first few folks chop....
Very correct. Bitter truth being said, to me this is like cheating the system. One wide eagle eyed VO may make a scape goat out of an individual one day.

HAS ANYONE SUCCESSFULLY CHANGED APPLICATION FROM UNACCOMPAYING TO ACCOMPANYING AFTER PPR.? I'M COSIDERING CHANGING TO SPOUSE UNACCOMPANYING. SO THAT MY CRS SCORE WILL INCREASE TO 493 FROM 488 THAT WE ARE RIGHT NOW. PLEASE I NEED HELP ON WHAT TO DO AFTER I HAVE RECEIVED ITA AND SUMITTED APPLICATION
Although few persons have done this and it worked does not mean it will be the same in your case. So be advised there is a bit of skeptism at the end result because you don't know which VO your case will be assigned to.

A hypothetical case scenario; A merticulous VO who does everything by the book may want to check your score as at when you got your ITA bacause making your spouse unaccompanyiming improved your scores and placed your CRS morethan hundreds of candidates who would have clynched that ITA as opposed to if you had made your spouse accompanying. Since it's not stated officially anywhere by ircc that an unaccompanying pre AOR can be made accompanying post AOR compared with change in family size, I would suggest you proceed with caution.
So weigh your pros and cons and go in fully with your informed choice.

Today's draw:

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued invitations to 4,750 candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 494. Eligible candidates were invited from the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) and the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP). All are programs that operate under the Express Entry system.
The score drop is disheartening jor. I nor even undertand them again

Good day my Oga's in the house,

I need answers to these questions please:

1. I'm currently 33 years, if I enter the pool this year and I didn't get an invite this year, by next year, I will be 34 years, will my CRS score reduce while already in the pool if my age increases?
Study page 1 very well and these questions are answered there lucidly

2. Can I update my portal once I submit my application? I'm asking because I'll complete another degree by next year. If I can update my portal, will my CRS score increase upon update of a higher degree?

Thanks.
Study page one very well, these questions are already answered there lucidly.

Hello everyone. Please advise…

Can one’s area of ECA be different from NOC claimed?

E.g I have Llb (Law) which I’ll be evaluating with CES but I have been working as an IT project manager for a while now. Can I claim a NOC related to project management despite that my evaluated degree is not in that field?

Please help a novice oooo
Yes you can. Check page one FAQs for more info.

Is it necessary to add a layover, in which I spent a night in the layover country in my travel history? For example, I’m traveling to USA and I have an overnight layover in Cairo where they put us in a hotel for the night and we continue the journey the next day, do I need to include Cairo in my travel history being that it was just a layover ? Thank you. @graciouswords @ednut1
You do not need to include lay overs in your travelling history

If it's less than six months when the amount was deposited before you print bank statement (amount deposited not reflecting in opening balance of six month statement print out) then you have to explain.

But if morethan Six months since when the money was deposited before you print your bank statement (amount deposited reflected in opening balance of six month statement print out) then no need for explanation.

However, for your peace of mind, you can choose to explain the source regardless.

Is there any hope for someone on CRS score 488 to get ITA this year at all? I'm devastated right now seeing my IELTS Result sad
Yes, 488 will definitely get invited this year.
If with your latest Ielts result you are still on 488, then no need to be devastated. Just chill, first draw by December at most, you will get ITA..

Hi everyone,

I am at a crossroad. My CRS score is 493 but my IELTS expires on 21st Nov and my WES 23rd Nov. I am honestly frustrated because it took me several attempts(been writing since early 2017)to get this score and now I don’t know if scores would drop to that level before 21st. I have everything ready to apply as soon as I get ITA but I am really pensive. What do you advise? Should I rewrite another IELTS or remain hopeful. I am honestly tired.
Writing Ielts again won't make much difference because your ECA is also expiring two days ahead the IELTS.
Be Optimistic, all things being equal you will be invited First draw in November.

497

What does this mean please?
It means you were not invited today.
Hopefully by next draw you will be invited because the CRS cut off will be below 497. Congrats in advance

Please I have a question
Will the new TEER system coming up in Nov 16 affect the trend of these draws or it’s just to change the NOC system
Well it's a question bugging most of our minds.
Let's hope Ircc would implement it back doors without having to pause the draws which is most likely

No. Before I came back to Nigeria I applied for the pcc on 26th sep 2019 I returned to Nigeria 29th sep 2019. So there is a missing period of 27th and 28th which automatically made the pcc invalid for the purpose of PR
Thanks much for your insights. More blessings and upwards ever.

I was suppose to come back from Austria were I spent 1year and apply for the pcc from Nigeria. Instead I applied while I was still at Austria. So there was a date gap.
Does it mean some of us who currently reside outside Nigeria would have to travell down to Nigeria to get pcc? Pls a little light on this

Gurus in the house, I know this may have been answered but I’ve checked the thread but couldn’t find it. For a single mum who isn’t married and the child’s dad is refusing to sign over custody of the child, what should she do? The dad hasn’t been in the child’s life so she has been financing responsible for the child. Please advise. @graciouswords @ednut1 @dimples
Yet again truffles between parents.
I think there is little to be done in this case if the the dad does not want to give consent. The probable way out I see is mediation between them.
She can only sue him for child support/maintenance but can't sue for parental rights to be stripped from him.
Parental rights can only be stripped from a biological father in a rare circumstance which are as follows; Adoption, abusive behaviour to the child, withholding consent for medical treatment. Parental rights can not be stripped because of the following; he isn't involved in his child's life, he doesn't pay maintenance, he does not want to be in his child life or the child does not want to be in his life etc.
On the flip side, the dad can sue her if he makes a good case about the intention of the mum relocating the child abroad, the court can issue a 'prohibited step Order' to prevent the action from being taken. On the other hand the court can look into it and if mediation fails, specific issue order will be granted if both can't agree.
In my opinion the best way to go is still mediation, because if it goes legal she has little edge considering also a long legal battle.
