chreld_b: Personally I think almost everyone that has commented on this thread so far has some good points and are relatively correct (different strokes for different folks). In my own opinion, if you are a Nigerian (raised in Nigeria), it is better to settle in Nigeria in the long run but foreign exposure is absolutely necessary. it is a big mistake to assume that relocating from Nigeria to a more developed country equates to a happier life and access to greener pastures. If that is where an individual lays their hope on then they are almost hopeless. if you choose to go abroad (a better developed country) for the purpose of exposure, furthering your education, getting abreast with modern trends e.t.c in whatever career or occupation you choose to be involved in with the aim of adding value to and developing yourself then your on track. But if you relocate as a result of frustration with the happenings in the country (which i cant blame anyone for doing @ this point in time) then you are simply gambling and may most likely return in the same frustration that made you run away in the first place. Bottomline diaspora no be heaven o and Nigeria no be hell to. if you know what your doing, you will know what to do

ogugua88: It's innate and biological. It's difficult to make the distinction now between women who are money-hungry and women who are simply looking for a provider. You want a beautiful, intelligent, and classy woman and you probably hope that those qualities pass down to future children if you have any. That's innate in men. Women want a provider and men want to be able to provide, otherwise their chances of obtaining a woman from the top of the pyramid diminish. That's how the game works and has worked since the beginning of time.

You go the extra mile because with a female addition in your home is the possibility of child or children. Men have to work their socks off because they're the ones who plant women with child. Wouldn't you want your wife or girlfriend to be in the most comfortable setting when she has to carry your child for nine months and then nurse it after its birth? You would want everything to be readily available for a child as well. If men were the ones giving birth, then it would surely be the other way around.

Women work their socks off as well. Carrying a baby, eating properly, trying to remain sane during hormones, and then childbirth, the most painful thing a woman goes through, no be beans. On top of that, women have their own distinctive qualifications and are obtaining higher and more demanding positions.

As for those who don't appreciate men and their hard work, there are sour grapes in every bunch.

spendogram: Reading some of these posts makes me wonder why some people don't see that unhappy people are people who continuously make choices that make them unhappy. They are simply skilled in making such silly choices and they have their spouses to blame for that?

I am happily married and I can tell you that I chose happiness long before marriage so I had no problems making the right decisions. Many people feel that marriage is suppose to make them happy.Nothing further from the truth. You are happy because you make happy choices and such choices include who to marry and how to continuously live with the person.

One very important thing that I must not leave out. If you are a person that is easily swayed by adverts/packaging you tend to make wrong choices. You need to look at the content of things even if the packaging isn't really appealing. Western media has made a majority of the world population to believe more in packaging than the real content. e.g you lots of people with lots of friends and posting lots of nice pictures on social networks. And they always tend to remember your birthday (lol). It will surprise you that those same people don't only look opposite of what they portray themselves to be but also behave completely opposite in real life.

@hawti... yea yea i personally know you are like one of my ladies .. filled with actions and decide very quickly. The way you do view life and options isnt the way oto sees it. Give him a chance on naira land he deserves to be heard as he grows and take prompt decisions as a man would. Dont bounce on him the way you 're doing right now. keep calm ...haba... a beautiful lady like you should not be this hot with words. we all are here to learn and have fun not to become haters.
