Insinuating? I did not exonerate SURE-P from the blame. The vendors are given mandate to reach out to companies in a particular location that have earlier registered and indicated interest in absorbing interns, the problem really stems from the fact that final invitations are sent out to some of these companies without confirmation by the Vendors if these companies have been approved. On SURE-P part, they could do with paying more attention to the 'approval status' of the companies that are invited by the vendors.

Am really Sorry about dat....after graduation I decide to do painting of buildings, and dat same particular day of d fair I have a very big work at hand,.But at d end I could not get match because of those ghost companies and loose my painting job, dat day eh? I won die.....d pain of loosing SURE-P n my painting simultaneously is still in me.. ...I was with life and hope to be match dat dat.....was So disappointed.... The large chunk of the blame should be apportioned to the companies (Vendors) hired by SURE-P who invite and reserve seat for companies yet to be approved. Companies earmarked for Internship fair are given priority attention to approval but not all of them can get approval before the Internship fair date.

So What Are u insinuating?? do you think SURE-P is not aware of this drastic situation?? can't the company be approved later?? What will happen to innocent interns that fell in such companies

It is dominated by Fake Employers with fake addresses, phone nos, some of us did our manual matching in Abeokuta about 3weeks ago but our status is still showing "yet to be match" online. i don't know the nos of years it will take them to match us online, i guess we have been replaced with their relatives. HOW CAN SURE-P INVITE UNREGISTERED FIRMS TO THE FAIR ALONG WITH THE REGISTERED ONES, WHEN THEY(SURE P) KNOWS THAT EMPLOYERS don't HAVE THE CAPACITY TO REGISTERED INTERNS? This is barbaric and unfair. I am tired of this sure-p self. No Transparency.

As a Non-SURE-P GIS staff, You can only know if a company is approved by logging into their portal, but I am aware that will be a difficult task for any intern. The problem actually comes from the fact that most companies cannot tell their status even when they log into their portal. A clear indication that a company is not yet approved is if a company logs into its account and sees ACCESS DENIED clearly written in Red in there, It shows the company is not yet approved, unfortunately the VENDORS that processes the invitation of companies for the internship fairs on behalf of SURE-P go ahead and reserve a space for some Unapproved companies to get matched with interns. Approval of companies is not done at the Internship Fair venue, though companies penciled down for Internship fair involvement get priority approvals, especially when the fair draws closer. ("To all concerned: Ask questions, make sure the Company who you were matched with is approved, so you don't waste your time".) To explain this earlier quote by me: It's highly unlikely that an Intern can find out the status of a company at the fair, but if and when you do not receive your Congratulatory email and the company seem not to know the steps to take, Ask the company to verify if they have been approved, so that you don't continue working with an Unapproved company - wasting your valuable time in the process.

puntersmind ....I Am already a victim of What u said,I have absolutely no idea about dis before I went for d fair at warri,(a lot of interns Happy home without confirming if they have bin match or not) So, when the company accepted me,I was Happy Until I get to the stage of matching when I realize that the company name was not among the in their (SURE-P) database, I was So disappointed.... I sent SURE-P a mail about it but no reply, I called the manager of the company and he keep saying he is working on it....Seriously,.I need to know if I should take my mind off this SURE-P program entirely or if there is Hope for me, also how possible it is for the issue to be resolve.... u have being a helping hand here and God will bless u for your reply and advice...... SURE-P is becoming a scam....u won't believe what happened to me on the internship fair @ warri,I have passed through the employer And about to be match,only to find out that my company name was not found on their data base,I was damn surprise, And asked the guy in charge of d matching process what to Do,he asked me to call my company representative, while they are all gone already..... like seriously, I felt like slapping d guy for wasting my precious time n money,.... secondly, they said (sure-p representative ) that they will look into it....sometimes how com those company were invited by sure without registering dem on their system,I wonder what will become of me or those whose company was not found? anybody wit same issue And idea
