That is exactly what happened to me sept last year, two solutions to it (1) either you persuade ur employer to go to surep office in abuja to complain and rectify the registration process of his company before he will have access to his Gis account or(2) look for another surep registered organisation that has not exceeded the numbers of interns it requested for during registration with surep and quickly send ur details and the organisation details to our own puntersmind on this forum for a rematch. The second option is the one I did and I have been rematch by puntersmind,though my previous employer later went to abuja after much persuasion from me which was not easy and later granted access to his gis surep account to accept interns already I have been rematched.

Hey bro don't get it twisted. U can use any UBA account number so long as it carries your full names you used to register with SURE-P as account Name. I gave SURE-P my old UBA account number and I was advised in the bank that 'No Qualms'. I know of a colleague in where I am working, his number is not 207******* but got paid of Nov. Stipend. So bro, keep moving with either your initial account number on a condition that it carries your full names with SURE-P or if you don't have a UBA account Number then you can go and open in any branch account of UBA so long as the branch is in Nigeria. Cheers and Congratulations!

PLS READ THIS, U WILL SEE WHERE SURE-P SAYS U CAN OPEN AN ACCOUNT IN ANY USA bank NEAREST TO U..... BUT AM CONFUSE BECAUSE AT THE END OF THE MESSAGE THEY SPECIFY DESIGNATED BANK...... It's so confusing.

Steps you need to follow:

Print a copy of this email.
Print a copy of Confirmation from the Employer (this will be sent upon your accepting the offer).
Download and Print a copy of Bank Account Opening Form (this will be sent upon your accepting the offer; this you will see on your profile on the website).
Contact the employer (details below) and make an appointment to have your documents verified and ask them to sign your Confirmation Form, Bank account opening form and verify your documents/credentials.
NOTE: Employer Signs your Bank Account Opening Form only if you have been accepted. Requirement for verification include:
Valid Means Of Identification (drivers licence OR international passport OR certificate of indige OR national identity card)
Original Birth Certificate OR Certified true declaration of age
Original Secondary School Certificates
Original Degree OR Higher National Diploma Certificate
Original NYSC Certificate OR Exemption letter
Two recent passport size photographs for the bank
Signed Confirmation Form from the Employer (to be scanned and send a copy to the PIU on your behalf to operations@gisurep.gov.ng)

LOL if anybody in house deserve a beautiful damsel of Nigeria is no one but the very big boss himself-Puntersmind.
If u open the account at the sure p designated branch they will surely give 207... knowing that u are an intern. But the problem of other branch might b given u another account that doesn't match the above, though I don't know the risk involve but Puntersmind advised using account with 207... which correspond with what I was given recently at d bank.
If u can talk to them at the other branch and explain to them that u are intern and beside u need account with 207...then that will be okay, though all this is been advocated to guard against unforeseen circumstances.

Gosh.....i will try ask d bank close to me, is d bank account savings Besides, what does the 207... Stands for? Is it a suffix or prefix of numbers??

yes of course you will be entitled to January stipend, even some people that will b probably accepted by last week of January will be equally eligible. Don't forget to tell him to sign and scan ur downloaded employer and bank form to operations@gisurep.gov.ng

In d mail sure p mentioned a designated UBA bank at Ababa and am in warri, so I called d number attached to d bank branch and d guy said I can open account at any UBA branch close to me...... Hope am safe??

Congratulations bro, you don't have to fret over that, is only your employer now that need to accept u and your status will change to hired.

So all u need to do now is just to call or meet ur employer ASAP to accept u on his GIS account online.

It's not like a conventional job interview. In most cases, the prospective employer just asks for your Bio data, your qualification and your skill set to know if you can be of any use to him/her. It's really nothing any intern should worry about.
