The question is: will a self sufficient man ever make a loan?
^yes,if a country does not want to pressure its national reserves,it takes loans to augment spendings, america has the biggest debt in the world, yet they arent broke.nigeria is a complex and diverse society that runs on money, reserves need to be robust at all times in case of emergencies and surplus spendings,e.g during the ebola saga,do you know how much billions of naira was spent on curbing ebola?,we even sent aid and drugs worth millions of dollars to ebola hot-zones!,can a broke country do that?,taking loans is better than crawling on all fours, begging BRIC for a few change, isnt it?

President Jonathan asked your government to make a loan of $1 billion, yet you are singing that you have money
http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSKBN0FL29320140716?irpc=932
https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/168645-jonathan-gets-approval-to-borrow-1billion-to-fight-boko-haram.html
SANDF never ran away from CAR, it was a parliamentary call that they needed to honour. In SA the army can only be deployed and withdrawn by the parliament. The president can only deploy the army through the consultation with the parliament.
you are sweet-tongued{or should i say "sweet-f_ingered"},so because jonathan loaned $1billion,then nigeria is broke?,the loan wasnt even in cash!,it was in military hardware over a span of 7-10 years...study a little economics,a loan is taken so as not to put pressure on national reserves,if not american wont incur such debts..finally,in nigeria, the president is the commander in chief of the armed forces,he has power to deploy and withdraw troops

With better weapons and better training you can defeat BH. Now no country want to sell you arms and beside you don't have money.
what do you mean no country want to sell arms to us?,russia, belarus, ukraine, china, pakistan and other eastern europe and asian countries are very willing!.how many times have i proved that we can buy as much military hardware as we want?,we can buy the B-2 Bomber jet if america were willing to sell it{which they arent, even other NATO nations dont have it},the SAAF do not even have common aviation fuel, how will you then buy new military hardwares?.the NA has the best infantry in africa,so we dont lack training.you are one to talk, afterall the SANDF ran out of CAR,to be replaced by those pretty,sausage-eating french models that pose as soldiers, even france can outperform you, shame!

mzilakazi:
Deep in your dreams as usual. The bottom line is your army struggles to defeat a ragtag BH.
catfish like you,calling boko haram 'ragtag'.boko haram is a more deadlier force than the SANDF;
(i)it is well funded by both internal and international religious entities
(ii)BH fighters do not lack tents and they are perfectly capable of fueling their motorized infantry units
(iii)they coordinate and operate from fortresses and save havens e.g a vast and shallow horizon like sambisa forest is very hard to penetrate without encountering overwhelming firepower,a high hill like gwoza is difficult to lay seige on and they can easily shoot down aircrafts,a sloppy and rough terrain like mubi is difficult to assault as it is easy to set ambushes from different positions.
(iv)BH are heavily armed with tanks,anti-aircrafts,atillery,AAA rifles,rocket-launchers,bombs and IEDs.
(v)they are very mobile,as they have fleets of automobiles to move about in droves.
so,how are they ragtag?

When Captain Sonogo took power in Mali, you went there too.
But when the rebels captured half the country, you hid deep in Lagos. Making excuses
Again going to Burkina Faso doesn't demonstrates continent leadership, as you're going there with other regional countries
Continent leadership was demonstrated by Jacob Zuma when he went to Libya in 2011, with a full blown civil war ongoing to represent the AU and talk to Muammar
Flying into a hot zone, with rebels in possession of anti-craft guns. Protected by "Recces"
i.diot boy.gadaffi was an ally of zuma,it didnt have anything to do with 'continental leadership'.he was chosen to represent the AU because of his ties to muammar gadaffi.the same reason why when the allied forces wanted to blow up gadaffi and his army into smithereens, zuma was against it,gadaffi helped in sponsoring zuma's election.so if jonathan had gone to libya, what would have happened?,they would have opened fire on him?,hahahaha...*i laugh in swahili*

How professional right here.

http://m.aljazeera.com/story/201411614945631288

On Friday vigilantes in the Borno town of Biu said they and troops had decapitated 41 Boko Haram fighters who were planning a raid in the village of Sabon Gari, in the south of the state.

Two residents said the heads were put on spikes and paraded through the town.

"It was like hunters displaying their game after a hunting expedition," Silas Buba, a resident, said.

Human Rights Watch, the US-based rights monitor, said the alleged beheadings were consistent with the vigilantes' recent conduct.
i know its non of my concern but i'm obssessed with nigeria,i'm in love with nigeria.i wish i was a nigerian, sometimes i even tell lies to be noticed by nigerians{can you imagine!},nigeria is my addiction!.nigeria!,good people, great nation!

As usual you have nothing to contribute in this thread besides trolling.

Ramaphosa intervenes in South Sudan Crisis

6 November 2014

After successful mediation efforts in Lesotho South Africa's deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa joins Juba's mediation efforts.

www.enca.com/media/video/ramaphosa-intervenes-south-sudan-crisis
err....are you guys going there to mediate or are you going to search for mineral resources to loot?,after your rather pathetic attempt of r_aping CAR of her mineral resources,i wouldnt put it past that greedy toad-eyed zuma and his peanuts-dependent citizen.

The irony is that we have never taken technical maneuver.
maneover to where?,SA surrounds lesotho, and lesotho is pratically a mountain country,so if you had maneovered, your troops would have simply fell off the lesotho mountain into south african territory as dead men.that is why it was easy for the rebels to pick-off your troops, the same way zuma picks his teeth after just embezzling your money on a dinner of rat-meat.

Patchesagain:
Again, they never resisted our initial assault. We never retreated, find a source which actually says that.

Second, our attack was resisted by the Lesotho Army of 2000 men... we attacked with 800 and brushed them aside, losing 10 men and killing over 100 of theirs.
so because this source doesnt support your baseless opinion,it is false?,typical, only links that support lies which make SA look like a virgin saint are are accepted, anything contrary is "preposterous falacy".you "brushed" lesotho troops aside, yet you found it hard to brush seleka rebels aside, instead they chased your panicked troops out of CAR,until even their trousers slipped down their wastes in their haste to escape the poorly armed rebels.

Last time we went into Lesotho we took Maseru in a day
http://www.nytimes.com/1998/09/23/world/tiny-neighbor-gives-south-african-army-rude-surprise.html
no,i aint 10,and i know what i'm talking about.in the end,you captured manseru in 24 hours, but the lesotho rebels that consisted of farmers, gardeners and tax collector resisted your initial assault.even your retreating troops found it hard to stuff defeated soldiers into fleeing aircrafts in their haste to escape lesotho's "rude surprise".

LESOTHO DECLARES WAR ON SOUTH AFRICA!!!!
the government of the kingdom of lesotho have today declared a war on south africa.media correspondents in lesotho have reported seeing:farmers gathering cutlasses,pitch-forks and rakes, cooks were putting together an arsenal of frying-pans,rolly-pollys,table-knives and egg-mixers,schoolgirls and snott-nosed adolescent boys were all gathered for war with lollipops sticking out of their mouths.when asked about the sudden declaration of war,the king of lesotho responded to the journalists "we are fed up of south africa's fuckuppedness and begi-begi attitude,we are currently assembling an army of farmers, cooks and children.we have resisted SA with an army of cooks before, and i'm sure we can do it again and this time we'll win!".meanwhile zuma is reportedly cowering in an underground bunker in pretoria,as the SANDF and SAAF have no aviation fuel, and the boers have refused to sell weapons, they have no hope but to request for igirigi APCs from nigeria in order to fight!.

I think you should learn how to differentiate both. An empire contains many kingdoms and it is ruled by an emperor, The Emperors laws are enforced by client kings or governors (like the Romans) and they are usually Multi-ethnic So if you say Germany and Russia were Kingdoms, what empire were they part of? These nations are Mutli ethnic and different regions have always have their own kings/leaders etc.
perhaps...it depend on how powerful the kingdom is,for example, the babarian kingdom of the east, had control over many tribes, rulers and regions, they later waged war against rome{this was part of what led to the decline of rome} into the later days of rome, when rome was divided into east rome and west rome.same were the picts, who resisted conquest by the romans, and later attacked britain.but i concur, after further research, that there were indeed empires in the west and north{though not very powerful,as they didnt last long}.

Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by EVarn(m): 8:52pm On Nov 05, 2014
@agaugust,perhaps it is time for military reform.too much of our military facilities are based in the north.about 60-70% of our troops{army and airforce} are based in the north.the hausa-fulani have always been a little over-enthusiastic about their ideology and religion.religion in the north is an impediment that is almost challenging the patriotism of the people to the country.i would suggest that aggressive measures be taken to control and contain a certain element of the northern region.the troops are being confused,as they are forced to turn on their brothers and kill them, they are prone to propaganda of religion which make them feel that they have sinned by killing 'innocent jihadists' who have allegedly been tasked by allah to kill all infidels and unbelievers while conquering territory for allah in the hopes of winning a few virgins in the afterlife.perhaps they feel it is the legacy of mohammed.this can brings dessent amongst even the most professional troops.let religion and ideology be stripped.

Now it is clear you have no idea what you are talking about

There was a French Empire Between 1804-1815, another one between 1852–1870, and the colonial empire in between those (1534–1980)

The German Empire between 1871–1918 (disbanded after the first world war)

Russian Empire (1721–1917) toppled by the Bolsheviks close the the end of the first world war.
nope, these werent empires!,these were kingdoms...syria was an empire, egypt was an empire,assyria/babylon was an empire, persia and media was an empire, rome was an empire, axum was an empire...these were the empires of the mid-ages with enough influence and power to qualify as empires...its right that every country in the world was once an{or part of an} empire, but most of them were defunct as they didnt carry enough influence and power to affect the world,so i simply refer to them as kingdoms.e.g america has never been an empire,it evolved out of a kingdom

Not even close... what you perceive as military strength in Nigeria is what we call low-class military.

In case you haven't been up to date with military happenings, countries like Algeria and South Africa are far advanced (I didn't include Egypt for the obvious reasons).

Weapons we field are very advanced compared to what you're accustomed to, from land to air via the seas Nigeria cannot and will not compare.
such stiff-shouldered nose-in-the-air arrogance is what will bring you to your heels,if you ever try what you attempted to do by sending a warship to dislodge lawrence gbagbo's illegal government from far away south africa,it is your arrogance and poke-nosing that will topple you from pedestal.
