AntiNormal:Perhaps the problem is that christianity doesnt have the answers to those questions(I dont think any religion does), people only attempt to warp existing scripture to soothe the mainstream dogma. I am currently going through the quran, and you know what I think?...I think islam has more concise and straight-forward doctrines...at least, there are fewer things to be confused about...not that I am interested in being a muslim though... I think the best thing curious minds like us can do is to continue searching, even if it is away from the borders of christianity. |
petra1:Yeah right, this scripture never gets old. |
AntiNormal:To be candid, I really don't know how the gay thing works...at least, not entirely, but I think I am more open to such stuff than I was a year or two ago, so maybe one can "turn" gay?,or maybe I just one hell of a hormone ridden freak... On the topic, you haven't seen half of it yet, some people can be so annoyingly vague in their answers that you begin to suspect that many people are conditioned to never ask questions. |
petra1:I learnt three things from reading the book of job(well, maybe more than three things, but that's besides the point). According to the story: 1. Satan can still approach God's presence(in heaven),quite contrary to the belief that God cannot behold evil. Well, the very epitome of evil, satan himself, kind of strutted into God's grand get-together party without so much as an invitation card, isn't that just badass?. 2. God can protect everyone from evil if he chooses, evidenced by satan accusing God of granting Job asylum behind a mobile wall of fire at all times. Even satan was quite furious at such blatant favouritism, and he made his dissatisfaction quite clear in the strongest terms possible. 3. God permits evil to befall people, as evidenced by the game of chess played between both parties, with poor Job as the unwilling pawn. Even Job agreed that God was responsible for his misfortune. |
AntiNormal:I think I really like you, call me when you decide to turn gay(really,no jokes...well,maybe a little joke, lol). You remind me of myself. Thing is, I haven't met anyone with a logical answer to those questions(once met a hardline christian who scoffed and told me that God isn't a being of "mere" logic). All you'd get is people screaming bible verses at you till they are blue in the face, and you'd get even more confused without even knowing what exactly you are confused about. I believe the universe has a cause, I decided to call that cause God. Then watch christians confuse themselves. |
elantraceey:Well, I dont know if their are more than one God, but I believe the universe didnt just make itself. So, I believe in the Supreme Cause, I chose to call that cause God. |
An2elect2:It looks like an educated stance. |
An2elect2:What if I said I believe in God, but not in christianity,am I under the devil's grip too? |
JesusPeople:I am not an athiest(I believe in God,just not religion) But, the law actually states that "For every action, there is a Using your logic, tha means that the creator must be proportionate to the creation. Are you proposing that God is proportionate(equal and opposite) to his creation?. |
Shaytun:Its quite interesting,try it. |
Things like tithe, first fruit, offering, harvest etc are ancient judaism rituals which mainly had to do with agricultural produce, inheritance of the levites, and treatment of the poor. Its funny how people point fingers at the wrongs done by freeze, yet do not have concrete biblical evidence to defend against his accusations. People are unwilling to examine their religion, just like the pharisees of old. |
If you do good works, you will make heaven. When asked, "what shall I do to be saved", Jesus explained that just like in the law of old, if you love the lord your God and love your neighbour as you love yourself, then you shall make heaven. |
sholajigga:I rather hope not, my curiousity will definitely increase my knowledge. You need to be more curious, and ask "lame" questions too, at least, it may increase your intelligence a little. |
Fidelmalek:I really dont get the way some people reason, the sub-human intelligence displayed on nairaland can be shocking sometimes. |
jamariwolf3:Well, if it disgusts you, then dont open it. Happy new year. |
tartar9:I think molestation can cause deep trauma for life, but being infected with "gayism"?, I dont think you can get infected with a phenomenon. Hope you get over it soon. |
sholajigga:Here goes the default mentality. I am trying to establish the relationship between age and homosexual encounters.... As hard as it is for you to believe, some of us actually enjoy educated curiousity. |
Snow02:Lol, so they do have issues with their asshole, thought they normally use lubricant, didnt he use lube?.... makurdi?,heard homosexuality is more rampant in the north, how true?.... No, I am not asking for a friend. |
Snow02:Your neighbourhood?, in lagos?....how do you know they are gay though. Yeah, I understand that it is very repulsive to many guys naturally. I dont have any problem with it though, its usually the pain that gets me wondering, lol. I didnt get your last sentence. |
RadicallyBlunt:Wow....that's quite extreme. What age range were you at the time? |
Elparaiso:True, very true. |
Elparaiso:That happens a lot, people tend to assume you are gay when you are liberal. Even when you are more handsome than norm, people tend to conclude, and it becomes difficult getting girls. If I may ask, what age range were you when you got asked out? |
I recently read a report of teen gay experiences in Africa and it spurred my interest, how many people in Nigeria have had one kind of gay encounter or another?. My best bet of satisfying my curiousity is nairaland. Knowing that homosexuality in Nigeria is largely still a closet affair, but recently it seems more people are coming out of the closet, and now we hear incidents of gay conversion(even after marriage in some cases) and seduction. Even rape is now on the rise, though still not as rampant as heterosexual rape reports. So, who has any gay experiences to share?. |
Christianity has assimilated elements of "occultic" spirituality in its bid to gain spiritual credibility and identify with the "holy spirit". I think the supernatural realm is constant for all who wants to access it, humanity connects with it using various means: blood sacrifice, food sacrifice, incantations and enchantments, chanting and prayers, etc |
ivolt:Mr A: ISIS just beheaded a man for rejecting islam Evarn: Shut up you hypocrite, moses also commanded jews to kill apostates ivolt: well....Moses did that centuries ago!, it shouldnt be acceptable now! Evarn: Really, so the lives of millions that died thousands of years ago is insignificant due of current happenings? ivolt: Err...look!, ISIS just beheading a man.... Can you now see your reasoning? |
Xisnin:Using your logic, those islamic extremists that kill and maim today should be viewed with fond nolstagia in the next 50-100 years, because human life today is less valuable than it would be in the next century. Do you now see the weak intelligence in that line of reasoning?. Even the very recent violent propagation of christianity by some popes of the catholic church is now outdated. Wisdom. |
alBHAGDADI:The islamic extremists use this same logic to carry out their terror activities; they say they are communicating God's judgement by wiping out the infidels for unforgivable committing sins against God. You now see the flaw in your reasoning?. You do not know the level of my bible knowledge. |
victorazyvictor:I am not trying to convince you, I am merely stating a fact. |
alBHAGDADI:Sometimes I marvel at the sub-human level of reasoning being displayed by christians, it is really shocking to imagine that my fellow christians lack elementary intelligence. How can you discriminate between two religions based on language?, judaism and christianity originated from israel, hence the hebrew name for God would be different from that of islam which gained revelation in arabia. Hebrew and Arabic may be similar, but the alphabet and pronunciation are diffent. Its like someone saying that a yoruba man isnt a christian because he calls God "Olodumare" or "Olorun" instead of yahweh. You see how irrational that is?. |
alBHAGDADI:Have you ever read the quran before?, if you haven't then your hate is based of hearsay, psycological conditioning and weak intelligence. If you are at least a little bit intelligent, then please do try to read the quran and then compare it with the bible, only then can you make and educated conclusion. |
shallysgirl:Yet you have the same prophets. |
