Odunharry:Why sir??.... |
Jesus of Nazareth!!, where the hell did you guys get those questions from?, damn!.... Congratulations to the winners, I don't even hope of winning, but at I hope I at least come out in top 20.... |
By 4:40 PM, we will finally see the floodgate of comments....all will be revealed.... ![]() |
Very interesting concept. |
RoastedCorn:I think it isn't just a social science or arts issue, I am a MCB&V(Microbiology and Virology) student and I find the mathematics to be unnecessary. Though we have no right to tell the organizers how to conduct the competition, I sincerely hope the maths is reduced in stage 2. |
RoastedCorn:I wonder how you came about these voodoo statistics; 74%,64%,and 54%?, this just looks like an arithmetic progression. What are the odds that all the Uniben students managed to get scores with 10% difference all through?. Well, I can still congratulate a Unibenite's victory in this competition, but a Uite?,absolutely not!. |
All these U.I. people cannot be trusted. Please, my Unilorin guys, lets strive to show we are Better By Far. U.I. must not be allowed to win, no matter the cost. |
@mods, Richiez,Odunharry and Xfire Since you said that we can make suggestions regarding the competition, I formally appeal that the mathematics questions be reduced or even removed in the "Stage-2". This is because I observed(after taking the Stage 1 test) that the mathematics questions consumed too much time and it probably isn't fair to those who aren't studying or haven't studied(at O'level) maths related sciences. I appeal that the questions be more general IQ/Aptitude related for Stage-2. Apart from the maths, the test was excellent, though very engaging. I hope you consider my suggestion. Thank You. |
Still an interesting topic.

danvon:Calm down, take a deep breath, then go back and read my post...read it very carefully, perhaps three times,so that it can manage to sink into your skull. Then come back and modify your comment. |
Nitalaxxy:by one Sarah something?, I think I have read it already, got any more?. Thanks. |
danvon:When @proudgorgeousga accused you of being daft, I felt that she was going overboard, now I see that she was probably right. Gays are not usually associated with mysogyny, infact, gay people are often surrounded by girls(either as friends or relatives). The fact that a person is homosexual doesnt mean he/she hates the opposite sex. |
Seun:I thought atheists don't believe in horoscopy?...your "yampyons" is a horoscope,right? |
danvon:You always seem very quick to point out gayism and lesbianism is almost every character, are you sure you arent gay yourself?...it all looks like hypocrisy to me. As for the topic, feminism is an individual ideology, any lady can choose to be a feminist; considering that the society is skewed towards patriachy, women usually feel cheated and marginalized. But in my opinion, gender equality is unfeasible and a pipe dream, we can only hope to achieve equity of genders, not equality. In any case, kudos to feminists all over the world, I admire them for their bravery and strong will even in the face of daunting challenges. Nothing more noble than a person willing to stand firm for a cause, and there is nothing more terrible than a person willing to die for a cause. |
Very good development, Nigeria should concentrate on acquiring major stake in African institutions as a matter of foreign policy, we will definitely need such clout in the future. |
Japan is quite far...and I don't imagine how a jew will fare in japan of all places. |
Interesting, he does have a point on the self defence part, no one has the monopoly of violence; when you attack,it is only logical for you to expect retaliation. When there is no retaliation, more attacks will definitely follow as such weakness will be exploited. But when there is a retaliation, negotiation will eventually follow, and the end product will be peace. |

yanshDoctor:When I say they were the first to invent it, I mean in Africa, and relating it to the UK(the colonialists), Bini indeed had street lamps before they did. Please read my comment with objective scrutiny and intelligence. |
yanshDoctor:I beg to differ; not all Africans were "unclad" and uncivilized. There were many African tribes that displayed outstanding innovation, some of them rose up to conquer their neighbours and form empires. Take for example the Bini people of the great benin empire, they built massive walls round the capital city, and were the first to invent street lightening(using oil lamps) even before the UK got its first street lamp. Many tribes excelled in arts and craft; sculpturing of brass and exotic wood, especially among the Nok and Bini people. Even warfare, like in the case of the Zulu people. I understand the current socio-political situation in massively pushing people towards afro-pessism, but we should not mis-interprete history. Some, not all, african people were unclad. |
sonofthunder:Yeah, suit yourself. |
sonofthunder:Ignorance? Read Job 1:11-12,and then 2:3 If you still find it hard to comprehend, come back and I will give you more references. |
EllenlogRL:I dont really enjoy sci-fi novels...too unreal, and the plots are usually too simple. SW is all about inter-galactic warfare, where the good guys always win. |
danyero:I have read all those series...I have practically consumed almost all the best fantasy series in the world(trust me,no exaggerations), that is why I find it hard to get interesting reading material. |
Pierohandsome:Tithe in islam?...do you have any kind of evidence of that? |
I was wondering, if tithing is insurance against "satanic encroachment", what about muslims, jews, hindists, etc who don't pay tithe, but still experience prosperity, without disturbance?. Apart from many successful atheists like Gates,Zuckerburg,Seun and co, there are millions of successful people on the planet that dont pay tithe, yet witness abundance; there are those who pay tithe, yet witness poverty, and yet again, there are those who dont pay tithe, and are in poverty. When talking about tithing, many tend to forget that the world isnt made up of christians alone. So what is the essence of tithing?. |
tiredoflife:What is the point of the gibberish you typed?, at least I was expecting you to highlight a point to tackle my opinion. Please do try to communicate with intelligence(if you even have any) in the future. |
tiredoflife:Please use your faculties, rape isn't synonymous to homosexuality, heterosexual rape incidence is more than ten times the number of gay rape annually. Moreover, these gay rape crimes probably wouldnt be happening if our society wasnt so biased against them. |
STILESGANG:Well, perhaps 4/10, I have seen far more handsome guys here...even beautiful ones... But you are cool though... |
I think that through the next 30-50 years, Nigeria(and Africa) will witness a very high rise in atheism. Economic growth, improved standard of living, and industrial(technological) advancement will inevitably lead to a marked decline in mainstream religion(theism). Africa is going through its own "dark ages", but it is only a matter of time. But to state my opinion, I strongly believe that there is a God. |
The seventh day adventist teach this too. As for me, I believe in rebirth. |
