Xisnin:
Epic reasoning failure.

You want to equate barbaric mosaic laws to the 21st century quran-inspired barbaric terrorists and intolerance acts?
What kind of planet are you from?
SMH.
You do know that millions of people were slaughtered by the hebrews(commanded by God) in the battles to conquer canaan.

Women were taken as slaves, others were raped and infants were dashed against stones(Psalm 137), as commanded by God. Even in many cases, entire cities were wiped out, down to their livestock(I hope you know the story of king saul and his failure to wipe out the neighbouring canaanite city as commanded by God).

What is the difference between the barbaric mosaic laws and some of the commandments given by mohammed?, So islamic terrorism is 21st century while bible inspired terrorism is olden days?

God forbid that i bow to their God.
We don't share the same God.

Jesus raises the dead, their god no fit heal
This is a very flawed reasoning, the prophets of islam are the same with those in the bible. They all believed in one God.

The only difference is that christians believe that jesus is a man-God, islam disagrees, to them jesus is a great prophet, nothing more.

That does not erase the fact that both religions came from one source and worship the same God.

You can say you don't think he's wrong in his claims especially when you both haven't been able to prove such claim with standard scriptures not quoted wrongly.

You speak of barbarism in the Bible. Mention one and also accompany it with the story behind it and see if it wasn't justified. Now, compare that to the Quran which gives commands to be followed and never disobeyed even in today's world.

The best thing to do instead of what you wrote is to prove my post wrong with Scriptures.

Pls, if you can't prove how Muslims worship the same God Christians Worship, then it's best you exit the thread instead of speaking on things you know nothing about. Thanks
I have no obligation to entertain your juvenile tantrums. If you had a little bit of intelligence, you'd have found out about the violent laws littered across the mosaic books; laws supporting slavery, genocide, mutilation, sociopathy, discrimination against foreigners etc.
I doubt you can discern these things.
Christianity Etc › Re: 4 Antichrist Statements Made By Daddy Freeze (VIDEO) by EVarn(m): 12:18pm On Jan 08, 2018
I dont think he is wrong in his claims that muslims and christians worship the same God,and that not only christians will make heaven. This demonization of islam by christians is largely due to ignorance and hypocrisy. A large part of the bible's old testament contains the mosaic laws that in present day equals the height of barbarism, sociopathy and human right violations; same with the quran. So both books are two sides of the same coin. Hence, christians should stop bringing violent and hardline verses from the quran to justify their hate, the bible is full of them too.

Infact, I think most of his submissions are very logical.

There seems to be sufficient research suggesting King James 1 was gay.
I found no evidence for the above however. There seems to exist much more to the contrary.

King James Homosexual, addressing the Privy Council wrote:

"I, James, am neither a god nor an angel, but a man like any other. Therefore I act like a man and confess to loving those dear to me more than other men.

You may be sure, that I love the Earl of Buckingham more than anyone else, and more than you who are here assembled.

I wish to speak in my own behalf and not to have it thought to be a defect,

For Jesus Christ did the same, and therefore I cannot be blamed. Christ had John, and I have George.
In a letter to judges of England, he urged them not to exercise any restraint in punishing homosexuals, for he considered it an unforgivable offence.

Homosexuality is demonic. It's not the will of God for man. The bible made it clear in Gen 5:2, matt 19:4, mark 10:6). The Bible says that homosexuality is unnatural. Men in gay relationships have given up the natural use of the woman and women the natural use of the man. ( (Rom. 1:26-27). They have the choice to either continue or come out.
Perhaps, but according to the bible, women should bow their head in public gatherings, stealing from uncircumcized pagans is not a sin, keeping of foreign slaves is accepted, prostitutes should be stoned to death, a man spilling his semen(on the floor) is a punishable offence etc...
I do not think society still observes all those laws. Moreover, they are the laws of jews.

By the way, where is it stated in the bible that demons cause homosexuality.

I know some persons wouldn't like this but we shouldn't just condemn gays. They didn't choose to be one but were forced to be by unknown forces. They need deliverance because that is not the will of God for them. We need to show them love by grooming them with the word of God instead of castigating them. Homosexuality is controlled by a demon. If we show them love, many of them will come out of it. It's because of our attitudes that is why many of them are dying in silence.
Really?, homosexuality is controlled by a demon?,do pray tell, what demon would that be?
I think it is erroneous to believe that homosexuality is some sort of spiritual affliction that needs deliverance, can you say the same for liking fat ladies or prefering older ladies?,is polygamy also a spiritual infirmity too?.

From your write up, am just hearing it for the first time.
If as alleged by you that king James was a gay yet was against the gay laws,it then means he was dying silently. He didn't open up or prayed enough. The bible rightly condemn homosexuality.
So am assuming he was dying in silence and couldn't speak out of fear and condemnation
There are a lot of historic evidence to support the fact that he took young men into his bedchambers(including letters written to and from his lovers; do you know that he is a symbol of one of the earliest gay romance in history?),he had his first gay relationship at the age of 14 with a scottish merchant who had recently arrived from France and came to the king's court.

Yet he was openly homophobic. I dont believe he was "suffering" as you put it, he simply wanted to play his good protestant christian image.

I recently stumbled across an article on King James IV and I of Scotland and England, the man who sponsored the translation of the bible into english.
The article further propelled me to conduct more research on the man who was a very vehement protestant christian in his time,I discovered that not only was the man gay(he notably had three male partners during his life time),but also an hypocrite who encouraged anti-gay laws and death penalty for homosexuals, claiming that homosexuality was a "moste unforgivable offence...".
It is really interesting that I am just coming across this piece of history for the first time, considering my rather vast reservoir(if I do say so myself) of historical knowledge.

So,I want to get more views on the matter, how many christians know about this fact?,are there any contrary record of events out there(as there are wont to be when christians are involved?.

So what happens to the aviators in the Air Force, if the Nigerian Army decides to expand its cadre of aviators? Nigerian Navy was the one that started this trend in the 70s by recruiting and training naval pilots. Now, the Army has followed suit. Are they trying to tell the Air force something??
The army aviation will not displace the roles of the airforce; they will certainly not be flying fighter jets or advanced reconneissance aircrafts or EWACS. Their purpose is to enhance army operations through quick search and rescue missions, evacuation, and providing air cover using light attack helicopters. This will make it easier for the airforce to focus on heavy bombardments and advanced recon. It will also induce efficiency without the common inter-parastatal bureaucracy and rivalry that usually slows down military operations.

You're just recycling the old "infant industry" nonsense that has failed over and over again. The trouble with "infant industries" is that they never seem to grow up: can you name a single industry in Nigeria that has flourished because of all the protectionist measures adopted since 1960? And when I say "flourished", I mean grown to the point where it was able to stand on its own feet after losing protection, to the extent of even becoming an exporter.

I mean seriously, just think about it for a second: if you were a businessman lucky or cunning enough to get special protection for your industry, why would you ever want to open yourself up to foreign competition, no matter how big or successful your company becomes? This is exactly how Nigeria got lumped with Dangote's cement monopoly that causes each and every Nigerian who builds a house to pay more than 2x the international price for cement when building a house (and even renters can't escape the tax because their landlords pass it on in their rates). Dangote has $12 billion in the bank, and yet his "infant industry" is still sucking millions of poor Nigerians dry to this day.

Nigeria's trade to GDP ratio is already among the lowest in the world. What the country needs now is much more openness to both capital and trade, not less in the name of some stale "infant industry" argument that's already been tried unsuccessfully for nearly 60 years.
So your idea is to go ahead and flood the market with imported goods anyway?

See, the reason why the protectionist policies aren't working for us is because the government is not providing the enabling environment, incentives(SME funding and subsidies) and infrastructures(like power, roads and rail) for the policies to have maximum effect.

When a country puts protectionist policies in place(i.e decides to operate a close system), it must also put in place measures; social programmes, infrastructures, loans to ensure that the policies translates into adequate industrial growth. But Nigeria isn't doing any of that.

So the problem isn't the protectionist policies, but the lack of economic planning by the government. Nigeria, or even Africa is not America, we cannot just open our markets to international trade without a firm local industrial base. We cannot continue to consume, it has a long term effect of stifling our own start ups and further lowering balance of trade with other countries.

I wish Nigeria would follow their example on free trade instead of doing all this protectionist nonsense. The ban list and forex restrictions are harmful. Then they dont address fundamental issues of productivity. Im not sure if the EU treaty the Ambassador advocating for is a good idea since i havent read it.

Refining and economic diversification is a must.
Nigeria's protectionist policies are not unfounded, our manufacturing sector is still very nascent, we cannot afford to flood our local market sphere with sophisticated imported European goods, leaving our own local industries with no way to compete.

It has to be a multiple approach; we improve our ease of doing business, empower startups and SMEs with necessary funding and tax exemptions, and build enabling infrastructures such as power, good roads, rail, steel plants and refineries that would propel our own industrial revolution.
Only after developing our own local manufacturing capacity to an extent, can we then fully open our borders and operate an open economy.

Until we decentralize the FG and have a foreign policy that means something to us we aint going anywhere. The days of decolonizing africa is over.....we should be in the era of conquering Africa.....
Then we are like minds

Nigeria has the potential to dominate the entire African commerce and economic sphere....just look at what dangote is doing with practically nonexistent government backing, he is still managing to break into African countries.

African resources must be used to develop Africa, and it should be harnessed by an African hegemony, as Africa desperately needs a superpower.

Internal politics has taken away the FG's attention from important matters of defense and foreign policy. That is another reason why we need to decentralize the government.
Nigeria should have a military base in every zone of the continent; east, west, north and south, there are weak countries we can work with. In the next 20, power projection will be key, and capability to launch a large scale offensive on aggressors from any corner of the continent will boost our international standing.

High oil reserves, increased oil wealth and the accompanying diplomatic leverage possessed by Equatorial Guinea are all reasons for Nigeria to be on the lookout for Equitorial Guinea and the serious challenges it posses to Nigeria’s security and interests. Nigeria may logically be keeping an eye for Sao Tome and Principe on its radar as well.

The induction of the patrol ship “BATA” for Equitorial Guinea’s navy.
The irony of interstate relations is that small States have the potential to be seen as a threat by their large neighbors. This is because it is customary for small states like Equatorial Guinea and Sao Tome and principe to rely heavily on external partnerships and support. Nigeria has first hand experience of this wit its neighbours.

It is very easy to form partnerships with small states endowed with oil wealth, think Kuwait and what happened to Saddam. It is imperative for Nigeria to be wary of big powers that lie behind smaller states.
Equatorial Guinea has been spending an incredible amount of money on its navy. An undisclosed number of naval patrol crafts from Israel and a Corvette from South Korea have been delivered to the oil rich tiny country in recent times. This defence build up has been canvassed in commentaries concerning the arms race being waged by Equatorial Guinea, with the country seeking to Balance Nigeria’s naval power and defend its maritime borders and Nigeria, one of Africa’s naval superpower.

Now does the Nigerian government know its in an arm’s race for naval supremacy?

Equitorial Guinea, one of Africa’s richest country with a population of just 600,000 people has built up a naval fleet larger than that of a country of 180 million people, which also happens to have Africa’s biggest economy with an oil reserve more than that of the next 51 countries in Africa combined.

Now of course it will be absolutely ridiculous to premise that Equitorial Guinea can or is willing to toe to toe with Nigeria, the description however is the reality of naval rivalry between Nigeria and Equitorial Guinea. Before we proceed lemme give you some facts about Equitorial Guinea so we know what we are dealing with.

Equitorial Guinea is the richest country in Africa, with the largest per capita income (at least on paper).
While Nigeria has been distracted by a decade long war with Boko Haram and domestic issues, the oil rich Equitorial Guinea have been steadily building up its naval assets. To put things into perspective, Equitorial Guinea has a GDP of $15.7 billion and its defence was $8.4 billion in 2010.
In 2011 Equitorial Guinea bought 3 Corvettes from South Korea plus two Israeli patrol boats.
In 2012 Equitorial Guinea added the 2,500 ton frigate Bata into its fleet and ordered two more Israeli made Corvettes.
As it stands Equtorial Guinea is second only to Nigeria in terms of Naval power.

Nigeria accounts for %57 of the oil supply from the Gulf of Guinea, while Angola accounts for %34. While Angola is using its oil wealth as an instrument to foster its strategic interest what is Nigeria doing? Angola is making huge investments in Guinea Bissau an ECOWAS member state and is gradually carving out a lusaphone enclave.

Nigeria is sleeping with a false sense of security as the regional hegemon.

WAKE UP !!!

ECOWAS is up for the taken. The vast reserve of energy and mineral in the Gulf of Guinea is too large to be ignored by external players. The wind of conflict ahead is blowing right on our face. Militarily bases springing up along our perimeters. Morocco and Angola jostling for a foothold in West Africa, Equitorial Guinea building up the most powerful navy…all in WEST AFRICA ! Nigeria’s very own domain.

The President of the Ivory Coast recently espoused that France is an important partner to the country and he is delighted to forster closer relations with Paris in other for it regain its lost glory as the economic juggernaut in West Africa. This reinforces the strong influence of France in ECOWAS region. The resurgence of an Ivorian-French partnership has the potential to reignite a geopolitical contest with Nigeria.

Where is English West Africa. Why are Anglophone countries in West Africa so weak? The second most powerful country in West Africa -Ghana, which by the way has a maritime dispute with the Ivory Coast should complement Nigeria in thwarting the invasion of ECOWAS by external players jostling for influence.

English speaking countries West Africa should formulate a maritime security cooperation , which should entail information sharing, joint naval patrols etc.

Equitorial Guinea might have good reasons to protect its oil wealth by beefing up its navy. On January 17, 2009 Niger Delta militants stormed the Presidential palace in a bid to remove him from power. His paranoia and resolve to militarize might be understandable, however does Equitorial Guinea have wherewithal and resources to challenge a giant of 180 million people?

https://defensenigeria.blog/2017/11/27/equitorial-guinea-challenges-nigeria-as-dominant-naval-power-in-the-gulf-of-guinea/
A country like Nigeria should be building frigates and corvettes already. We should partner with the Chinese and Brazilians in terms of naval military technology, and strengthen our relationship with countries like Ghana and Liberai where we can even setup naval bases and steadily build a line of defense that stretches across the entire west African coast.
