Politics › Nigerian Army Pounds Damasak,as Reports Of Chadian 'liberation' Proves False by EVarn(op): 6:37pm On Mar 15, 2015
Nigerian troops have commenced counter terrorism assault in damasak,a Nigeria-Niger border town.
According to PRNigeria, reports that surfaced last week about chadian troops recapturing damasak and malam fatori from boko haram was confirmed to be false.
A Nigerian senior military official has confirmed that troops are currently routing boko haram from damasak.
Earlier this week,Chad withdrew its soldiers from Nigerian border towns back into fotokol in cameroon after suffering severe humiliation from boko haram terrorists.Chad has been suspected of sabotaging nigeria's effort against boko haram, yet it enjoys public support and admiration while churning out devastating propaganda.

Nigeria remains an african heavyweight.
lol.i was thinking about your post, ane i realised that this must be how it feels like for americans when other countries throw insults at america.but it still doesnt stop america from being a world leader.

It is almost too late. If we don't achieve Ghanaian rule now
Africa may be finished. We need good leadership in Africa
and only ONE country can provide it. Ghana is ready to lead!!
Give Africa a chance!!
sadly, ghana has neither influence nor the socio-economic parameters needed to rule africa.
there are african heavyweight countries like: Egypt,Nigeria,Algeria,South africa,Morocco, and Ethiopia who possess the power to rule Africa, most especially Nigeria and South africa.
what makes you think that ghana even stand a chance to project any form of soft power?

they will continue funding iraqi troops because it suites their interest; of using iraqi troops and militias as attack dogs against ISIS.

Tit for tat! Iraqi soldiers torture and behead ISIS prisoners (photos)

Iraqi Special forces have started torturing and beheading captured ISIS militants in apparent revenge attacks - and now are sharing photos on social media. The images above was posted on instagram by someone who claimed to be an Iraqi soldier and showed the disembodied heads and mutilated bodies of the militants. He said it was in revenge for the hundreds of Iraqi soldiers that have been killed by ISIS. See more photos after the cut...
Even US trained iraqi army is now violating international rule of military engagement, yet the US has the hairy balls to accuse the Nigerian Army of 'chronic' human right abuses and extrajudicial killings?!
travesty!,hypocrites!
Now,will the US stop aiding iraq in fighting ISIS{and risk further expansion of the bagdadi's caliphate which is a threat to western ideological domination} by invoking the bogus 'Leehy law' and placing embargoes?

Why would anyone think that no engineering firm can send its "highly trained" technicians to train our troops in a warzone?,arent companies established for the sole purpose of making profit?.
Moreover, certified companies that produce military hardwares normally own a technical unit of specially trained engineers/mechanics with necessary military training, who can operate all equipments in a combat situation if needed.
This may be the situation in the NE,the foreign technicians may,at some point, accompany our troops to the warfront, for the sole purpose of assisting our troops in operating newly purchased sophisticated military hardwares, since our troops cannot readily operate them.

I don't know if I should cry with you or what, but, everything will be fine. Don't worry we won't raise this issue of mercenaries again because I can see that you are trying by all means to twist it but it just don't work. Mercenaries are called with whole number of names, some call them contractors, while some call them mechanics, some even go as far as branding them technicians, etc. What I like is because these people they know well that it is crime to use mercenaries in any war since it violate international law. They will try by all means to protect themselves. Shame!!
drafting mercenaries to maximize certain loopholes in terrorist acute defences is a strategy utilized by even world military powers.
Albeit, the south african nationales currently stationed in the north east are only for technical support and equipment training; which may include physical engagement on the battlefield, due to the fact that we dont have the luxury of testing our hardwares before battle.

32 towns were recovered by Nigerian, Chadian and to lesser extend Niger troops. Don't be stingy and give credit to where it is deserved.
your arguement truncates all vestige of common sense.Chad liberated only Gamboru,Malam fatori and Dikwa, all of which are border towns under operational coverage of the MNJTF.
Nigeria did the rest.

Your list of battles make me tired. Those were not even war but small outings. Nigeria in Mali fled and left France alone. Generally, Nigeria is still inexperienced that's why they are struggling to defeat Boko Haram alone at home. Just a bunch of inexperienced losers.
We have liberated 32 towns from BH in 3 weeks, that does not qualify as inexperience.

Nigeria has never won any war in history other than winning and defeating itself in Biafra and fighting rebels with other forces. Fact.
*We seized the lake chad islands from chad in the '80s,we invaded chad and nearly captured their capital before france mobilized aid for then.
*We routed AQUIM in mali,we laid a crippling seige against trained arab militias and drove them out of northern mali.
*We single handedly destroyed laurent gbagbo's army and ukrainian mercenaries in the titanic battles of seirra leone.
I COULD GO ON,BUT WE ALL KNOW THESE THINGS.
Politics › BREAKING:Chad's Falsehood Revealed,Malam Fatori Recaptured Twice? by EVarn(op):
Chad and Niger troops have recently claimed to have recaptured the border town of malam fatori and damasak.
But to analysts, this has proved very baffling since they{chad} had already announced the recapture of the same malam fatori over a month ago when they first began military operations against boko haram.Chad's president,Idris Deby is a renown corrupt dictator who has a record of slandering the Nigerian government and making reckless statements about sensitive matters of National Security, thereby jeopardizing collective efforts against terrorism in Africa.Chad,a country with a ruler who has governed with an iron fist for almost 30 years,is known for its distabilizing activities in countries like C.A.R. and Sudan, where it hugely contributed by funding and equipping rebels.
Therefore, the recent report where chad and niger claimed to have recaptured Nigerian border towns is being critically questioned by analysts and media experts,as there is no evidence to prove such claims.

and then what happened to the cease fire deal? The government was still bold enough to say it has argreed a cease fire deal with the terrorists but that was soon dis-carded as attacks persisted.
The cease fire was a ruse set up by boko haram and its allies in order to give them time to recoup and restrategize after the major defeat they suffered in konduga.BH picked chad as a neutral ground and chief negotiator, but in the end, both chad and boko haram renaged on the deal and the fighting commenced with more force.
tell me,what do you think would have happened if the FG had rejected the cease fire and pressed on with a devastating onslaught?,of course, everyone would have cried foul, accusing the government of insincerity in tackling the insurgency and even systematic genocide. The ICC would have charged our government for war crimes, the west could have even sanctioned us.
I want you to understand that it was lack of cooperation that strengthened boko haram.

the government is at fault, imagine trying to negotiate with a terrorist group far back as last year that alone showed how weak the government was ready to tackle the menace.
The government was under pressure from both the opposition and the international community, infact, the opposition practically rallied nigerians to coarse the government into agreeing to a cease fire deal.

the IRA and the British was the equivalence of Nigeria-Biafra, where the IRA wanted Northern Ireland to be cut off from Britain, more like a war though both the British and the Republic of Ireland saw it as an unlawful organisation. But in the case of BH we(i.e the government) saw it growing, still the government never took any drastic measure to paralyse them and here we have the outcome.
What is the difference between IRA and BH?,they both wanted to break away and form independent states, albeit boko haram is more expansionist.
The Nigerian government tackled BH since the beginning, but due to ethnic, tribal and religious interference, coupled with lack of local cooperation,BH grew and festered. Some individuals sponsored the sect, while the local populace cheered them on as if BH was some sort of freedom fighting group. But when it became apparent that BH was a habringer of iminent doom, everyone started blaming the government.Who do you think is at fault?

Bh has only grown to become not only a problem to Nigeria but to other countries as a result of the incompetence of the government to curb the menace the group has been perpetrating.
Britain failed to defeat IRA terrorists for 25 years, does that mean that the british army is incompetent?.
It has more to do with ideology than government competence.Boko haram grew due to the malicious intent of both local and foreign elements who sponsored the sect due to different reasons.

so the bombing and disgusting acts going on since 2009 is not a problem to Nigeria, ridiculous to hear you say that. Then tell me which country BH originated from.
There was terror in mali, when Nigeria deployed forces to tackle Al~Quaeda in mali,Al~Quaeda bombed Nigerian army convoy, while further vowing retaliatory attacks against Nigeria and its interest. We successfully destroyed them, but few months later,Abu Bakr Shekau emerged as grand sheik of boko haram, vowing to establish an islamic caliphate through jihad.
Now,we have recieved numerous report that the bulk of BH fighters are not Nigerians.
Boko haram originated from Nigeria, yet it isnt Nigeria that projects Boko haram,it is the network of a wider foreign jihadi movement.
So dont conclude that BH is Nigeria's problem.
ISIS originated from Syria, yet does that make it a Syrian problem?,Al~Quaeda originated from Afghanistan, yet does that make it an Afghan problem?.then, what makes boko haram a Nigerian problem?

According to DHQ report,60% of boko haram fighters are from chad and cameroon,5% are from mali, niger and france, while 2% are arab fighters. Please tell me,how is that "our" problem?.There are even reports that Abubakar Shekau is from Chad, hence the delay in boko haram attacking Chad.

shamelly:
Boko haram is growing everyday because of the cowardness of our oga @ d top
Boko haram isnt growing,it is simply migrating. In Nigeria,80% of boko haram facilities and structure of operations have been completely destroyed, thousands of them have died, the last three strongholds that they have left are Bama,Gwoza, and Sambisa forest, which will also be liberated in coming days.
They now resort to urban suicide bombing, but in the end, they will be caged and crushed.
The only problem is that Boko haram may end up migrating to cameroon, chad and niger who all have weaker militaries and more radicalized islamic population. Therefore,we need to prepare to engage boko haram on foreign soil,we also need to fence our borders.

Boko haram's deadly convoy invaded cameroon with 2 armoured tanks,7 weaponized vehicles and a large cache of sophisticated ammunitions, yet the MNJTF was unable to prevent them,in fact,Boko haram seized sueram with little resistance.95% of the recent onslaught against boko haram is being done by the Nigerian army alone, the work of the MNJTF is to secure their respective borders. But it appears that even securing borders is too much work for cameroon and chad.
