there is no breed that fits this description or pics, this dog is obviously d product of one gsd mixed wit local and a pure local dog, if not that, it is a pure local dog, check under d tommy to see if it is pure pink or pink mixed with black markings, if pure pink then i can say it has probably bin mixed in its linage, but if with markings, bro u have a local dog, when people come here to ask d breed of a dog, it baffles me, didnt they see d parents? abeg check d parents and ask d owner d mix in its linage, because i am very sure it isnt pure at all, d only pure it could be is that its a pure local dog

when u say ekuke, I presume u mean our Nigerian shepherd? (local dog) well am very sure u know it within u that this isn't our Nigerian shepherd, I could say its a mongrel, mutt or any term for mixed breed but its not our local dog

its not expensive to buy a dog, its more expensive to take care of a dog, one only values what he works hard to get, if u know a dog costs u 500k, u would do everything possible to make sure that dog stays healthy just because u know d value of your money, am not trying to be against u wanting a dog ooo but for u to say "I can never pay money" ah! u never ready oooo, no vex, I have met people wit similar attitude who don't wana spend much on a dog but yet wanna own one, and I found out that all their reasons are to breed d dogs, and their main plan for sources of food are reminants from resturants where they don't spend a dyme on feeding, they have no idea of how to bath a dog, grooming or whatsoever, if u want a dog badly, am quite sure u could afford a local dog, get one and start, gain experience first because from what u are saying u can never spend to buy a dog, means u can never spend to feed a dog, I once gave my 1 year old rott to a frnd of my who was also desperate for a dog, as at then I had gsds and just one male rott and didn't want cross breeding so I decided to give him since he had always shown passion for dogs and always talked about owning one, it only took 3 weeks, I went to d guy house to check up on d dog, and I saw he was dead. not only that, as a student too, I once gave a fellow student a gsd cross pup, his plans of feeding were from restaurants, his total cost incurred in taking care of d dog was #100 which he used in buying a cheap soap, I didn't complain at first, but as I saw that d guy didn't show d dog more passion as he had promised, cos na me con dey help bath d dog, nobody told me to resell d pup. I even spent more cos I had to use my own money to transport d dog from Lagos to Benin based on say na my guy guy, so please if u really need a dog, remove that mentality of "I can never spend money to buy a dog" u can always get cheap gsds around.

I have Neva really bred any of my dogs, miley was d first, a cool and stressful experience sha, I chose to use miley because as a local dog I knew she wouldn't be much of a problem

I have a male pup, don't have his recent pics I would upload that as soon as I get it, and I have a local dog that has been with us since God knows when, some oda foreign dogs have come and gone but she has always been there, she'z perfection to me, small but mighty, she is d alpha dog in d house, the most trained of them all, she looks small but I tell u all my oda dogs fear her, I have an old pics of 3 of them together, my male was probably 4 month old in d pics, am not too certain, my male is kinda golden sable in colour and that is so as a result of his mother being a white gsd, he is a result of d combination of a white and a black and tan

I really would have loved to update but my dog is now late, buy I will try upload her old pics. late major died 4 weeks ago to be precise, d vet couldn't get to her ontime and neither could I come back on time b4 she gave up as I was in another state, aged 3 years, she's a very good security conscious dog but friendly with kids, I miss her. we suspect food poisoning from neighbours who had complained about her in particular, and worse part is that she Neva caused any trouble, she was gentle and only gets provoked when there is need to be

where and how was she trained? was she also imported? like u said her parents where? donu plan breeding her? if yes, could I get a pup?

so sorry for your loss, i also know exactly what u going through now, i lost an adult dog that showed all of the symtoms u mentioned, worse part was that i wasnt even at home when she died, i traveled,when i was told she was gasping for air, i had to abandon what i was doing and travelled back, but she died before i got home, tears were not just enough, she was so gorgeous, a very deep bark, and a very awesome dog, i went through all d stages of grief, i didnt wana accept she was dead, i requested that she wasnt buried and hoped that she was only too weak to stand, untill i finally accepted she was dead when she began to swell nd i had to bury her, i was so desperate for some oda dog to fill that hole she left in my heart but still confused, infact am still desperate for a new dog to fill that hole, but i just cant think of replacing her even in death, if i could have anoda dog with so much energy and love for me,i sometimes refer to her as my guardian angel. well shez dead now and i have to accept that. all these apened 4 weeks ago, and i can assure u that am getting beta and assure u that u would heal, a new dog will help u sha to keep your mind from drifting back wit regrets, i wish i could get one too, but just thinking of d new one, me going to search for the perfect puppy, she growing up, getting old and dieing all just come running to my head, well i know tinz will definitely get beta, cos i actually feel better now,although d hole is still there but we will survive. we just need to accept that our dogs are in a better place now

There are several reasons why dogs wont bark at robbers, 1) it could be d dogs are scared of loud noise, so when they hear suc noise they cower away 2) the robbers might have come prepared by bringing meat, dogs are crazy about meat and once u give them that meat, at that moment, u are their best friends, this is d reason y u have to train your dogs not to eat anitin from anyone or d floor except in a plate or u fed them. If it was meat that was used, u should be tankfull because most times robbers attack a house wit vicious dogs, dey poison d meat, i lost a dog to that recently. At 5 month ur dog is still a puppy and so therefore has time to grow and get more aggresive or u could employ a trainer, i dont know of any in abuja, as i stay in lagos, if not i would have recomended. Instead of getting a new dog, i would advice getting a trainer, for a first time owner, it may not be that easy to handle 2 dogs

clearly your dog wasn't four month when she got pregnant, and your other dog also didn't see her heat at 5 month, who ever sold d dogs to you probably wasn't that generous with the dogs real age, trust me, I have seen so many people like that, a four month old dog cannot get pregnant ooooo, even in small breed dogs that come on heat earlier than large breed, its not possible. so I will suggest u go confirm your dog real age first, if she is really 5 month as u claim, then am not sure its heat, take or dog to your vet for checkup, because she isn't on heat. and BTW d puppies of that your assumed four month when old dog, did u take your time to study them, so u would know when they actually really come on heat

the stance of the parents in the pictures u provided made them look like slant backs, are they? because the puppies don't look slant, so is it just as a result of d way d parents stood?

plzzz, could someone tell me the real title of this thread? cos i can see some comments which is not related to what i see as the title. i believe everybody are entitled to thier own opinion, the fact that someone could not manage a chihuahua nd ihasa in the same house or a great dane nd saint bernard or rott and pitbull, doesnt mean others cant, to the op, it is very very posible, most dogs are animal aggressive, even when some of my dogs were puppies, they could allow a strange human enter but not a strange dog atleast not without chalenging the dog, it all depends on how u manage it, what i do when ever i introduce an adult dog to my dog is to put them quite close together but theyt should be restrained, nd make sure u supervise them when doing it, normally the dog that is used to d house will take jealousy each time u attempt touching the new dog, jst continue this for some time nd never leave them unsupervised together. it works, any dog can live together no matter the breed. and as for my antagonist, I am not a breeder, i have never bred any of my dogs over the past years, i have managed to keep them from mating, i have my reasons for not breeding them. i am only telling u the truth, and about boerboel nw being AKC recognized nd registered breed of dog is new to me, except if i ve nt yet being up to date about that breed, so what about the shilloh shepherd? the mast weiler? are they recognized? are they not the plans of some breeder like that want to create a unique breed? instead a new body had to be created for them, they were all regarded as mongrels untill they created thier own specific body, but they re nt stil akc recognized, well i just made my research and discovered the boerboels are now AKC recognized the only reason why i personally boerboel could ve bin akc recognized is that they bcame popular nd were even being exported. Nobody is trying to prove anything here, if u re a breeder, good for u, nd if u re a puppy merchant gud for u, me i am a dog lover, and i have never bred any of my dogs so plzzzzz nd plzzzzzz dnt tag me, i only decided to speak the truth. guy cmon chilll, u dnt have to be hostile, he has told u how posible it is since his years of experience and u re tagging him a dog merchant. are u trying to tell me that a person that breeds a great dane with a chihuahua is a breeder cos he has created a new breed? a breeder is a person that maintains breed standards but a backyard breeder breeds anything breedable, and u also mentioned that most breeds today were as a result of cross breeding, hope u re aware that they were all planned, the boerboel u speak of is nw a recognized breed yeah, but hope u realize it is not akc recognized, the shilloh shepherd u may have heard of if u knw abt dogs have not yet bin accepted by akc, the mastweiler al,so is not a recognized breed. u cnt jst breed any dog, u should work on improving a particular breed as a responsible breeder and not cross breeding, there are several mixes in the world, akc cant approve all, so guy cmon jst chill

Bro, the first sign of a dog being on heat is d swelling of the Vul'va of d dog about a day or a week afta swelling,depending on d individual dog, bleeding starts, could be few days bt maximum of a week. So if u wana knw if ur dog has jst come on heat, den dose re d first sign u wuld notice den u cn talk abt breeding. Abt spaying or neutering, I doubt if any Nigerian that owns a foreign dog wuld love to do dt. So first of all, check d puppy for diz tinz I told u of here nd if it shows dt it culd be foreign by having black nails nd pink tommy, den u shuld request to see d parents. I beliv u shuld be able to identify an adult local dog, because even d smallest, most local child on d street cn differentiate btw a local dog nd foreign even if d local is well fed nd foreign is malnourished. Hi wstinga, are u located in lagos, is the stud still available? I ve jst fallen in love with d stud u used to sire these pups. I currently have a 2 years plus female that will soon come on heat, I jst wana make arrangements down before she eventually comes on heat. Shez also a gud non roached bk gsd jst lyk ur roxy nd plzz permit me to attach her pics here. Note: she has never littered b4, I actually was nt interested in breeding initially bt am in love with dis stud nd wuld love for him to sire her pups

Bro ur dog definitely has a higher percentage of a gsd trait dan any breed u tink it must ve bin mixed with, pictures of a dog cnt tell wat it has bin mixed wit,all we can give u re speculations, we cnt give u any fact, anyone dt calls a breed dt it has bin mixed with nd tells u he is sure is a liar, our eyes no be dna machine. I like to use d term a "non well bred gsd" for gsds dt dnt look lyk d standard gsd. D only way to trully determine d breed of ur dog is tru a dna test, that which I doubt so many Nigerians re willing to take. So I would advice u to jst love ur dog for who she is nd stp worrying abt her mix. But I assure u she definitely has d gsd/alsatian trait at a higher percentage dan wateva mix.
