BusinessRe: Grain Price Update From Maddallah Market (niger State) by Evergreen694: 3:28pm On Sep 16, 2025
Hi Everyone.

I am a new small scale northern farmer who is currently involved in rice farming however, I am thinking of turning my harvested rice into paddies before selling this year, and I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice with regards to a few questions.
1. What is the profitability margin if I turn the harvested rice to paddy before selling?
2. What is the potential cost of embarking on this journey?
3. Is there a market demand for paddies of rice currently in Nigeria?
4. How do I scale this on the business side of things?
5. How do I secure more customers with regards to this?

Lastly, if anyone here is interested in buying paddies, please feel free to send message. And to does who may not be in such business but rather you know someone who maybe highly interested, please let me know as well.

Thank you all. I look forward to your responses

Greetings gurus in the house.

Pls I want to inquire, is it possible for someone who studied Anesthesia as an undergraduate program to switch to Nursing in a post graduate program?

Gurus, Pls I need urgent assistance ( I'm asking on behalf of someone).

Thank you for your assistance. Please do you have any idea of schools that could offer that?

I would greatly appreciate the assistance, thank you.
bullstriker:
Most post graduate programs require a background in Nursing. Few schools will offer such a program if it is possible.

Hey guys, Greetings everyone.

I recently got admission to university of Regina in Canada- Petroleum Systems Engineering. Please I wanna know, is there anyone presently attending the school or was given admission recently?... it would be really great to assist with certain informations; anyway you can.

Thanks you.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Evergreen694:
Greetings, gurus in the house. Greetings everyone.
Please is there anyone who I currently studying at the university of Regina for a master's program?. Even if you have concluded your program, your assistance is still very much needed.

I just recently applied for admission for a master's program to the University. They requested a wes transcript and my wes reference number which I gave them. Surprisingly on submitting my application, a slot to input original transcript had just popped up in their admission requirements, it was stated that "prospective Engineering students should have their transcripts submitted through wes". And my university takes time to process transcripts.
And also the slot where my wes transcript is meant to be is still empty.

I just want to find out what I'm to do next. I'm I meant to request that a copy of my wes transcript be sent to them even if I had already given them my reference number. I had tried sending them an email twice and they are yet to respond to any.

Thank you all and anticipate your response.

Lekiboboe:
Hi honorable,

Who told you that you don't have work experience?? so you know,
Your 1-year Job experience at your PPA for NYSC is a job experience even if you were posted to a school to teach

Your work experience as a Corp Member would come in handy in your Study Visa application cos it's a mandatory program Nigerian graduates are expected to go for after graduating and are assigned to jobs in a location that they are not originally from.

Go through the contents in the two links below, you would see why your job at your PPA is a Job experience.

For Masters, the Major Admission intake is usually FALL INTAKE (SEPTEMBER), this is also applicable to most PG. Cert Programs.
There are also programs with January intakes but are very few. Do your research on the program of your choice to know the ones available for WINTER INTAKES (JANUARY).

As regards Masters for your Academic Profile

Sometimes last month, I read on Twitter that "the demand for crude oil is reducing in Canada, as electric/hybrid vehicles are replacing Gasoline vehicles gradually and this is reducing the relevance of Crude Oil in Canada to some extent.

That being said, the post advised graduates (Bachelor's, Masters) of Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering to go for research-based Masters in research areas like
- Energy and Sustainability
- Renewable Energy
- Bioenergy/Biofuel
- Environmental Engineering
- Pollution (Air, Water, Land)
- Environmental Engineering
- Greenhouse Gases (GHG) and lots more

There are lots of Research Opportunities (usually Fully-funded in terms of scholarship) in the above Research Areas, so take your time and do serious research on the above research areas you know within yourself you would be potentially good at (good fit) for a masters degree, after doing that, you can start doing your due diligence ASAP against 2022.

The contents in the link below is a detailed guide for you to go for a Research-Based masters in Canada. Relate the contents in the link below to your Proposed Research Areas for Masters and do the needful.

As regards College,

Go through the contents in the two links below, you might likely find it useful based on your Academic Background

https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/165#98338935

If you eventually decide to go for College (PG.Cert), make sure you give cogent reasons on your SOP (for Visa Application) why you are going for a PG.Cert program in a College instead of a Masters degree program cos your good CGPA might be a concern to a Visa Officer on "why not a MASTERS DEGREE"?

As regards Employment opportunities, which is lucrative or not, go to the LIVING IN CANADA THREAD to make enquiries. There are chances you would get based on experience advice from folks who are also in the same field as yours.

This above posts is just my own input, await more response from others so you can know the best decision to take
Thank you sir.
Concerning my NYSC experience you spoke of, I served in a school more a less like a secretary (the departmentdidn'trelate to anything I studied). Would that be enough work experience?.

Hello everyone,

Special greetings to the gurus in the house.
I am in dire need of assistance. Here is a background story.

So I graduated with a CGPA of 4.02 from the department of petroleum engineering (B.Engr.). I just concluded my NYSC service this year 2021 and I have no work experience.
I would love to further my education in Canada through P.G program in a lucrative engineering field in which employment opportunities are not a difficult task in terms of securing one. I also don't want to further my education strictly on the path of petroleum engineering.
I have been able to secure my transcript from my school and have also gotten it verified by WES.

*HERE ARE MY PROBLEMS*
• I don't know what course to go after.
• I don't know the schools that are still open for admission for 2022 academic year.

I was told that colleges are preferable if you are looking to try to gain experience (especially through Co-op)but I don't know which colleges that can offer me that opportunities right now. My admission process is sponsored by a relation who says I have to find a school for 2022 section or I won't be sponsored again.
I was directed to this trend to find information in regards to lucrative engineering jobs with high employment rates.
Please any one who can help me out in anyway is highly appreciated. Please every advice and directions I can get would be helpful.

Thank you all and God bless.

Hello everyone,
My enquiry may sound too cliche but I really need assistance so I would know the direction I'm to take when furthering my education.

So I studied petroleum engineering and would prefer furthering my education in the field of engineering.

Please I would like to know what professional jobs are easily accessible in Canada. I want to be able to streamline my study towards that direction.

Please all advise and knowledge from experience is very much appreciated thank you all
