The stages each team reaches come first, then the points each team earned in all the games they played come second, then the goal difference comes third.

Nigeria and USA both have five points in the Group stage but the draw in the knockout round against England and Sweden where they were eliminated by penalties was counted as 1pt, making it six points for both Nigeria and the USA, Other teams who reached the round of 16 like Denmark and Morocco have six points in the group stage but due to goal difference, they were ranked below Nigeria and US.

Morocco would have been the highest-ranked African team in the 2023 Women's World Cup if England didn't beat Nigeria on penalties because of the six points they have group stage.

The USA has a better goal difference than Nigeria. They scored 4 and conceded 1 which is +3, Nigeria scored 3 and conceded 2 which is +1

You are the one not using your common sense here because if you do, you will know the ranking is based on the stages each team reached and the total points they get in the tournament. If we didn't get a draw against England before they knocked us out on penalties, Morocco would have been ranked higher than us because they got six points in the group stage while Nigeria got 5 points.

That draw against England is the reason Nigeria is 10th out of the 16 teams that went to the round of 16.

Things are now expensive to the extent I no longer buy sweet mouths because of fear of going broke before the next salary comes .

This is me a few months back in Kaduna when there is no day I don't go to Osritch Bakery to get food, pastries, or snacks, or chicken republic for ice cream, and sometimes go to Romatine frozen foods to get 1.1kg of Turkey but now I dare not dream not to even think of such.

One basket of Nigerian rice is now N4200 and the Beans N2700, I remembered I bought half bag of rice for N4,500 in 2017.

Before if not kings groundnut oil I don't buy, but now I no longer have a choice but to buy cheaper ones.

Most people have changed their diet to suit their pockets, is no longer what you crave but what you can afford.

So many things that, can't even remember the first because everything I have today was bought with my hard-earned money.
