Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, hosted some members of the Super Falcons following their return from the 2023 Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.


The first lady hosted the team on Monday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja a week after their ouster from the ongoing 2023 Women’s World Cup hosted by Australia and New Zealand.

Three of the Super Falcons players, Onome Ebi, Tochukwu Oluehi, and Ucheibe Christy were received by Remi Tinubu at Aso Rock and were given $10,000 each. And the same amount is to be given to the other 20 players that were on the team’s official list for the 2023 World Cup.

According to reports The NFF has been asked to prepare the account details of the 20 players and send them to the president, who will make direct payments to the players.

Kaduna is a nice place and you will enjoy it, I served in Kaduna (Kaduna North LGA) my friends serve in Igbadi and Chikun LGAs and we all enjoyed our services year in Kaduna.

We stayed when more than 800 people relocated and is the best decision we ever took because now most of us that return to our various states after service are regretting it.

I really pity Nigerians Working in Nigeria and receiving payment in Naira. Imagine earning 50k ($150) in 2017 and 2018 and still earning that 50k ($55) now with everything now twice the price of goods and services four to five years ago.

My salary has doubled twice the amount my boss was paying me in 2018 when dollar to naira was 450 per $1 even with that, I still feel the hardship not to talk of those earning in Naira with no increment of salaries.
