LostMermaid: I am always nice her. Actually I like her. And she likes me back. We play lots of games together and all. And I buy her lots of presents, she then loves. My problem with his ex and even with him, if I have any, has got nothing to do with her. She's a different person. And I would never hurt a child. Good but this contradicts your initial confession ( should I call it?) about the girl. I will honestly advice you to either leave the guy if you ain't equiped for baggage that comes with step children drama OR convince your man to let that girl stay with her mom. It's your life and your choice in the end. Good luck. |

And then the next 5 pages are about you both picking on yourselves, saying things that has nothing to do with thread, heck, you even go as far as bringing your offline lives into it! It's stressful when I have to scroll through a whole page and only 2 posts are about the topic! and yes, I could even be a lesbian-none of your damn business Are you NL space auditor now? Abeg leave them alone. They bicker and make back up. You're the one making a big deal out of it coz I don't see one. It all fun and makes a good read. |

It's sad really. I like cooking for my husband and was raised that way too. It'll be very awkward I mustn't lie so I understand the wife's ordeal. |

anthoniaz: My mum's elder sister (my aunt) is in such a situation and has decided to live with the husband like that.My aunt is fifty something, and has been living with the man like that to the extent that when their daughter did introduction in 2010, it was the man that went to market to buy everything. I don't really know if it's because such men are stingy and feel their wives will be stealing money given to them for food that they behave in that manner.
Madam, I think you should just let him be for the sake of the marriage, it's hard to change a man. I give up. |

pickabeau1: I mean someone who is not threatened by the step child but knows that the kids are her hubbys and treats him as a human
I may not love this kid but I will not maltreat her Its not a natural thing Gotcha... But you know some people are just naturally wicked and irritant to things that aren't theirs? That's my point all along, these ladies mind are hardenedly conditioned to be mean. They only have their eyes on the man and nothing else matters. See how they treat their domestic helps for example. We read that here every time. |

I'm saying what she is saying is normal for a woman who is not mature or very measured. Women are possessive
I'm not sure its limited to today or any era Women are women Lol.. Oh I see what you mean. Her post although honest , came across very brazen and cold. I feel sorry for the little girl already. Never witnessed such from my friends who had a stepmom growing up. |

'oh babe I'm just trying to help\' ookeyy Some of us picky women just don't want men prying into our cooking details.yimu Madam, sit him down and CALMLY explain to him, start making the grocery list together if he really wants to be involved and be prudent in your spending if he gives you a chance to go shopping. She is being real expressing what most women internalize towards their mothers in law, step sons or anyone not connected by blood I lived in another planet then. What older ladies? For starters..What's your definition of Today's Ladies? |

Babyosisi, she's not making excuses for killers, her post is clear enough for all to see. A home without woman's adequate touch lacks love and you know it. You claimed to be a career woman yet still have the time to cook those delicious meals for your family , ofcourse you man will be happy. You know that's not the case in most homes, everyday is eat out. Mutter (according to her post history) has been through a lot in life and she's learned a lot from life experiences , from making things right to change in attitude to bring the best out of her spouse.. Maybe she saw positive outcome as opposed to her previous relationship shortcomings and learnt from it. But She got a second chance to make things right and laid it out bare for all women to learn from her mistakes. Her delivery may sound rash sometimes like ilekokonit's way but she's right on the money. This thread is an eye opener for me as a married woman and I've taken a lot of lesson out of it. P.S osisi you're getting too old for this , stop bullying people with their past. It's not nice. Please change. |

armyofone: Stress is dangerous, talk to your personal physician and gym up yourself. I wonder what naija pastors are preaching every Sunday and at prayer meetings. Instead of church, go to the gym and work that stress out. I'll have to agree with Damiso on the church bit. But yes stress will turn a reputable figure into an irrational knucklehead in a flash second without damming the consequence(s). Our people don't know when to stop as long as money is conserned. But still don't excuse them killing their wives. Like always say, May God help us All. |

cococandy: quite confusing to me. I must say. Although I'm not very comfortable discussing someone else's private life like this I guess it is ok since she put it out there herself.
But why go the extra length to make other women seem bad or evil for doing the same thing you would do if you were in their situation.?
One would think from her posts that she would bear all wrong doing and never leave a bad spouse going by how she tells other women to do so. She practically blames every woman who comes here with one issue or the other and never sees any wrong doing on the men's part. Whether cheating or physical abuse or murder (in this case.), she still found a way to make it the woman's fault.
I really did think she's not the kind to say enough is enough and walk out.
Now I'm more confused than ever. Wow |
