President Bola Tinubu has commissioned the first set of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The buses numbering 20 were said to be the first batch produced locally by local manufacturer, Innoson Motors.

Some of the CNG buses were driven to the forecourt of the Presidential Villa, where the President took a break from the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting to commission them.

The provision of the CNG buses were part of the Federal government efforts to reduce the pains caused by the removal of the fuel subsidy by the Federal Government.

Recall that the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Innoson Motors, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, met with President Tinubu last week at the State House.

While speaking to journalists, the Innoson Motors boss promised that very soon, CNG vehicles will be on the road in many cities of the federation to ease the transport problem being experienced in the country.

A video was shared online showing Nigerians paying their last respects as the body of one of the victims was taken to his shop for the last time before returning it to Nigeria.

Siminalayi Fubara, governor of Rivers, says the political
crisis in the state will be resolved.

The governor spoke on Wednesday when Christopher Musa, chief of defence staff, led a military delegation to visit him at the government house in Port Harcourt.

Alluding to Nyesom Wike, his predecessor who is the minister of the federal capital territory (FCT), Fubara said there is “nothing wrong if a father and a son have a problem”.

“For our dear state, I know everybody is wondering what’s going on, what’s not going on. We are okay, there is no problem,” Fubara said.


“If we have an internal issue, it will be resolved and everything will go back to normal.

“There is nothing wrong if a father and a son have a problem. If there is any problem — but I don’t think there is anything. Whatever it is, we will definitely resolve the issue.”

On Monday, political tension heightened in Rivers state when some lawmakers in the house of assembly moved to
impeach Fubara.

Ehie Edison, Fubara’s ally, was removed as the leader of the state assembly but hours later, he was elected as the new speaker .

The crisis in the state is linked to a rumoured rift between Fubara and Wike.

On Tuesday, Wike and Fubara met at the presidential villa

— the first sit-down between the duo since the crisis.

While addressing a delegation of south-south leaders in Abuja, Wike who spoke about the crisis for the first time, said the political turmoil in the state is a party affair.

Bala Mohammed, governor of Bauchi and chairman of the PDP governors forum, had said President Bola Tinubu has intervened in the crisis, expressing optimism that peace will be restored in the state.

The PDP had also called on all actors in the state to “sheathe their swords and allow for a peaceful and amicable resolution of all the issues”.

Chef Dammy has received curses and threats from church members for naming their pastor as a person of interest if something happens to her.

A Nigerian lawyer has touched on the illegality of sharing screenshots of private chats without the consent of the other party.

In a video shared online, the lawyer stated that section 37 of the Nigerian constitution frowns at people sharing
screenshots of their conversations with other persons
without consent.

According to him, this is an act of violation against a person's privacy.

‘’Do you know that unless somebody grants you his consent, you don't have the right to screenshot your chats with any other person on your DM and post it on your timeline or Whatsapp status. In Nigeria, specifically in section 37 of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, that is a violation of the person's right to privacy.

The one that is baffling is to see people screenshotting their last chat with a dead person and posting it on their timeline or Whatsapp status.

It is a violation of the law because if that person were to be alive, he may not be comfortable with you putting out his or her chat on a public platform.''

Chapter 4 Section 37 of the Nigerian constitution reads;

‘’National Protection The right to privacy is one ofnthe fundamental human rights entrenched in thenNigerian Constitution. Section 37 of the 1999nConstitution provides that: “The privacy of citizens,ntheir homes, correspondence, telephonenconversations and telegraphic communications is hereby guaranteed and protected.”
